  1. I think one of the criterias for the Mis range is that it is an alternative of a non unique or unnamed model. After all last years gencon we had Mis Terious and Santana.
  2. This is interesting, but I am not sure about the wisdom of allowing players to buy stat upgrades.
  3. I agree, a female miner would be cool. Mis Taken a female Witchling Stalker. Mis Adventure a female Friekorpswoman.
  4. Maybe Miss Take could be a Gremlin Performer with a piglet stuffed in a dress as the mannequin?
  5. Perhaps you should just change your target for Grudge to something core to your opponents strategy so they can't run it away without giving you a solid advantage.
  6. ....yeah I'm sorry, but I have to ask you to hand in your geek card now.
  7. I have to agree that you choose one M&SU member and unbury within 6" of that model. But this is hardly a problem because if you have multiple M&SU members on the field then your opponent will have trouble predicting where the miners are going to pop up. After all a foot is a pretty big area on a 3x3 board.
  8. I would agree with you, but the rule that a model can't be effected by the same spell is from Warhammer Fantasy where a model or unit can't be effected by the same spell twice.
  9. If you don't like the Performers you could try the Oiran instead, but Colette does need those Showgirls to flip around. Also you will need the Mannequins or at least something representing them as I don't think you can actually trigger Mannequin replacement from Disappearing Act if you don't have a Mannequin to replace the model, but maybe I am thinking of GWs Warhammer. Furthermore if Mannequin replacement is going to become a core strategy for you then you need to add Johan (being the cheapest beatstick Colette has) so if the replacement doesn't trigger you can unbury the target next to Johan who would have been buried first. Then with his 7 CB (from Solidarity) he can Flurry the target and often kill or at least make your opponent drain his hand trying to cheat his minion alive.
  10. Yes, they are sticky. This means you can't lay on the undercoat and then not do anything else with the model as this will peel off until you paint it properly and varnish it. They are also intended to be sprayed on rather thickly so its not a good medium for Wyrd miniatures. Just stick with a white, black or pro hobby neutral grey for your undercoats.
  11. You do want Cassandra if you are playing Colette, remember she has Understudy so you can cast stuff like Blinding and Siren's Call off her. Take a look at these links- Welcome to the Show, running the Showgirls Colette for new players
  12. Unless specifically specified otherwise I believe all effects end in the closing phase or if the model is buried. I think.
  13. That is why it important to hook the gamer while they are young, they might drift away but you can reel them back in when they are older.
  14. The growth pattern of a gamer. Unless possessed of gamer parents the typical gamer is first exposed to the hobby at 11 or 12 years, usually this will consist of common fair like Warhammer 40K. In this day and age the gamer might come into the hobby a little latter having been exposed through the medium of video games such as Space Marine or Dawn of War. At about 14 to 15 years the gamer starts to notice the opposite sex and it is during this period that the gamers interest in gaming will wax and wan with their social life. At the age of 18 or 21 in some countries the gamer is allowed to drink legally, go clubbing and may even be entering university. It is at this age that gaming is given the lowest priority if not abandoned altogether. In the latter twenties the gamer having grown jaded of the "party lifestyle" will recall the fun it had playing games and so will dust off its miniatures or buy new ones and once more gaming will become a major priority.
  15. I don't mean he should go wild, just to ensure there is enough contrast on the base so it doesn't just look like a solid colour from 4 feet away in poor lighting.
  16. Looks good, but you need to add some props to the bases I think.
  17. You know even the European Team Championships for Warhammer is not supported by Games workshop and realistically they are about the only company that could do it. As it is some of the better players do like to travel under their own impetus to major events such as Adepticon and Gencon. What you could do is make an event for, say, Gencon and call it the Malifaux International GT. If people are planning on attending Gencon they can put their hand up to enter it, but in order to be accepted they have to be nominated by a jury of their peers of their country of origin. This can skip the potential unpleasantness of rankings. If they don't get nominated they can still enter a tournament the day before which will be a blind draft format where the player picks a crew out of the hat and has to use it for the entire tournament (with perhaps a few extra minions for a little flexibility). This will separate the really good players who can win with anything from the one crew players. From this tournament two plus X wildcards will be tapped to play in the International GT where X is as many places that need to be filled to make the tournament happen. In the GT the players would get to pick their crews as normal, though to be honest this blind draft idea I've just made up is actually intriguing. So there you have it, my idea for a International GT. Feel free to use or elaborate upon it.
  18. There is also a way around the terrain costs if you don't mind being cheap, the Star Wars Minis game has a lot of game mats that would be perfect for Infinity.
  19. I agree, you don't need to be fast unless you are trying to do strategies and schemes that take you across the board. If you have a strategy like shared Destroy the Evidence then take schemes like Holdout and Bodyguard which don't require you to do anything besides preserve them. Raspy is a great theme crew, but don't be afraid to take some damage in the way of Gunsmiths or the Mechanical Rider. Perhaps go for a fire and ice theme and add Khaeris or take some backup in the way of Metal Gamin. I can't say I've played Rasputina, but the impression I get is a crew that can take a punch and hit back pretty hard.
  20. To that I would add a bunch of chest high barricades and suchlike. As such the start up price is greater because you need to have more terrain than say 40K or even Malifaux. There is also the fact you probably want it to look more futuristic to fit the aesethic which is what you won't get with 40k gothica. The cost is going to be higher as well, forget about a second faction, each faction has a large range of models and each model has three to four variants. Though you could limit yourself by sectorial which is like faction inception. If you like it then go for it, just don't buy the tag "its like Malifaux but sci-fi" its nothing like Malifaux, at all.
  21. That is an awesome paintjob, good thing I'm not at home at the moment or I would just throw out all my paints and brushes :1_Exhausted_Puppet:
  22. Sometimes Infinity is about who blinks first, it requires a ridiculous amount of terrain which is often dumped on the table with more concern for lanes of fire than any rhyme or reason. But the models are really cool, except for the fiddly bits. Just make sure you play for actual objectives because mutual slaughter in Infinity makes for a poor game.
  23. Well being tired and having no idea how Lynch works I'd say its just a summon that keeps coming back, much like Colette's mechanical doves or the Hollow Waifs or even Leveticus for that matter.
  24. Hmmm well I guess I should try them out before completely dismissing them. As a side note the Wolsung minaitures have some great looking clockwork servants which I like the look of, the mirror golems even work for a showgirl crew, though I think I'll just mod a regular servant to be carrying a mirror or some kinda prop.
