Encounter Details $10 Registration fee 16 players to start 30 Soulstones, Scrap Fixed Crew Single Faction ◦ 2 Crew List Tournament Points Shared Strategies Ruleset: Rules Manual (2011), v2 Stat Cards November 5th Saturday 2. Schedule 10.00 am : Registration 10.30 am : First round begins 12.00 pm : Lunch 1.00 pm : Second round begins 2.30 pm : Break 3.00 pm : Third round begins 4.30 pm : Break 5.00 pm : Fourth round begins 6.30 pm : Computation of results 6.45pm: Prize Presentation 3. Crew Selection Details Players are required to pick their crews and submit their crew list upon registration. The crews are fixed for the duration of the tournament. Players are required to follow the guidelines for Hiring Crews as described in Step 6 of Encounters (Rules Manual, pg 70) Players may choose to submit same crew for both lists. e.g of submitted list LIST 1 = Lady Justice and 4 x Death Marshall LIST 2 = Hoffman, 2 x Death Marshall and 2 x Witchling Stalker 4. Tournament Format and Scoring This tournament will be run according to a Swiss system. Pairings for the first round will be done based on strength of schedule and past tournament results (determined by Dezzo, Zack and Elliott). Subsequent rounds will pair players based on Ratty’s Tournament App. Each round will last 90 minutes, of which 10 minutes will be used for encounter set-up and deployment. 10 minutes before the end of the round, judges will announce that the round will be ending. Upon 90 minutes, games are to stop immediately, and scoring will be done at that point of time. Each encounter will use a Shared Strategy that is flipped by the TO at the start of each round. Players are then to pick their crew from one of the submitted list for the round Players are allowed to pick Schemes at the beginning of each round. Players are required to record un-announced Schemes. If unable to prove un-announced schemes, it will be treated as no schemes. Schemes are unique and may not be repeated for the duration of the tourney Players earn tournament points (TPs) throughout the tournament. ◦ Players earn 3 TPs for a Win, 2 TPs for a Draw, 1 TP for a Loss. The top three players in order of TPs will be awarded the top three prizes respectively. Players will also record the Victory Point Differential (DIFF) during scoring. These will be used as a tie-breaker when determining the tournament's winners. For information on the DIFF scoring, kindly refer to the official Gaining Ground Tournament rules by Wyrd. 5. Rules and Regulations Players are reminded that the tournament is designed to be fun for all players. Players are expected to behave civilly and respectfully at all times. When asked, players should provide information and statistics for models as well as any additional public information. Activations should be played in a timely manner, and players should allow opponents to cut their Decks. Cheating will not be tolerated (other than Cheating Fate, of course!). Players may be disqualified if proven guilty of cheating. Printed v2 Stat Cards are permitted, and are available from Wyrd Miniature's official website. If any Printed stat cards are used, please obtain a “stamp” from the TO to acknowledge your printed stat cards, the “stamped” card will be used for the duration of the Tournament and will not be reissued. Avatars are not allowed in this tournament and will be allowed for the next tournament 50% of the entire crew are expected to be fully painted and properly based. ◦ Painting requirement: All models in your Crew must be painted with at least three colours to count as fully painted. Colours used for highlights and shades count as separate colours. Judges have the final decision towards whether or not a model counts as painted. Bases do not count towards the number of colours for painting requirements. ◦ Basing requirement: All models in your Crew must be based as specified in the Malifaux main rulebook and till date expansion. Usually, the proper base is provided with the model. Bases must be sanded, flocked, or decorated with base inserts. Please contact the tournament organiser with regards to basing queries. ◦ Proxies are allowed for models that are summoned during the course of the game, players are expected to have prepared the appropriate stat cards for the respective models ◦ Any other form of proxies is subjected to TO’s approval, so inform in advance before the day of tournament. Players are expected to be punctual for the event. A penalty of 1 DIFF will be incurred if players are late for the next round. If players have not arrived within 15 minutes of the round starting, they are considered to have forfeited the game, and will give their opponents the full allotment of DIFF (8). 6. Prizes The following prizes will be given out at the end of the tournament: First Place : $65 PI Voucher, Naming rights, Wooden Fork Second Place : $45 PI Voucher Third Place : $25 PI Voucher 1 x $20 PI Voucher for player who flipped the most Black Joker for the duration of the tournament during games (Flipped not play from hand) 1 x Free Entry to the next tournament for player who flipped the most Red Joker for the duration of the tournament during games (Flipped not play from hand) 2 x lucky draw prizes will be given out at the end of the tournament. Players are given a lucky draw ticket during tourny date. Winners will be given a voucher that allows them to redeem a Malifaux blister from PI, up to $14.90. If players wish to redeem boxed sets or blisters that cost more, they are required to top up the outstanding amount. ◦ Top 3 players are not eligible for a lucky draw prize. ◦ Volunteers for the event are allowed to participate in the lucky draw Last player gets a Wooden Spoon
  11. Malifaux “Who’s da Boss” October League 2011 Duration : September 30 – October 28 Registration Fee : $5 1. Registration and Teams 1.1 When registering, players must declare which faction they will be representing. - Players may not change factions throughout the course of the league. 1.2 Upon registration, players will be sorted into teams based on the faction that they are registered under. - Each team will have a maximum of 4 players. - In the case of more than 4 players registered under a faction, additional teams may be created. Players will be divided as equally as possible between the teams. 1.3 Each faction is represented by a Faction Leader. The Faction Leaders for purposes of this league are as follows: - Guild: Aaron Raj - Arcani sts: Desmond Teo - Resurrectionists: Mark Chang - Neverborn: Damian Chang - Outcasts: Benjamin Chia *additional faction leaders may be appointed if there is more than one team of a single faction The duties of the Faction Leader are as follows: - Allocating games to team members (Fair and Rotational Basis) - Deciding which team to challenge each week. 2. Format 2.1 Teams will play a total of 3 games per week, of which 1 game must be played at Paradigm Infinitum (Midpoint). - Games are 25SS / 30SS Scraps (Players to decide). - All models from current releases may be used 2.2 All games must be played within 1½ hrs*, each. Results of the game will be determined when the time is up. *to practice for the November Tournament 2.3 All games must be played against other league participants. 2.4 Games contribute towards the faction’s score in the league. The scoring system is as follows: Win : 3pts Draw : 1pt Lose : 0pt Bye : 2pts The faction with the most points at the end of the league will be declared the winner. Faction points to be consolidated by the Faction leaders and submitted to the organizer for tabulating purposes. 3. League Benefits 3.1 All League players can enjoy 20% discount when purchasing Malifaux products from the store (including special orders). 3.2 New players introduced into the game and joins the league may also enjoy 15% discount when purchasing Malifaux products and a PI membership. - Existing members will be entitled to a 20% discount instead 3.3 Participants are challenged to collect, assemble and paint up a crew within the duration of the league. - Upon completion, participants may submit their crews to PI-MP's counter for photo taking. - Crews must have a minimum of 6 models. - A further 10% discount off purchases made during the league will be given as a reward for completion. (Subjected to once per person) 4.
