  1. That Whisky Golem looks good enough to eat.
  2. Looked to be a super event, although Craigs Penguin needs a good clean. I also got home without any major Coke related incidents
  3. Not normally, but Jo tends to push herself before and after events, and takes a few days to compile everything.
  4. I was planning on taking the rest of the year off as far as Malifaux playing was concerned. However last weekend really renewed my desire for more games.
  5. After a good showing last Saturday, Undisclosed and myself intended to run a follow up demo evening this coming Thursday, to catch any people we failed to hit on Saturday, or were unavailable on the weekend. I have heard that Undisclosed has been scheduled to work, but I will make the date. So if anyone is interested, I will be at the Midlands Wargames Centre from 7pm until approx 11pm. Location details are Stafford Games Unit 5 Leons Way Tollgate Drive Stafford ST16 3HT 01785 255577 Stafford Games are running their own forums, with details and discussion here. ------------------------------------------- Without unnecessarily bumping this, here is a belated post event report, for anyone interested. Over the evening there were several demos being run. Two of the players Jacob demoed to on the Saturday event, played out their own game. And there were plenty of questions to answer on what the Stafford gamers new purchases could do. Its been a fairly productive two days spent in Stafford, and there currently a fair amount of momentum for the game at the moment. As such I will have to arrange something with Undisclosed to expand their community.
  6. Good showing yesterday. Personally I was a tad late due to traffic, but we were there for a good while later than originally planned. Turn out was such that we still had folks we couldn't fit in between the two of us, so we are attending again on Thursday, to catch those we could't demo too, or were unavailable on Saturday. As for the venue it is a fantastic little centre, with what appeared to be a well stocked store, which I intend to get a good look round on my revisit.
  7. Sorry but just a quick bump near the top, seeing as this is happening tomorrow. Hears hoping for a decent day.
  8. No excuse. You will meet the greatest bunch of Tournament folk, and one way to cement the rules in your head, is to get 5 fun games in one weekend.
  9. Myself and Undisclosed are running a demo day next Saturday at Stafford Games. We will be there from 12.00pm until 4.00pm Unsurprisingly in Stafford their address is; Stafford Games Unit 5 Leons Way Tollgate Drive Stafford ST16 3HT Tel - 01785 255577 More details are here and here. There is also some chat on there being a follow up on the following Thursday 25th October. If this is arranged we will kep you informed.
  10. Actually it's more to stop naughty boys and girls doctoring their printed cards, and adding a suit or value, to stats etc. One type of cheating is tolerated, another isn't.
  11. and this is why Bill and the GL crew swoon over your awesomeness
  12. OK fairly decent turn out today (10 players plus myself,) meant that my large pile of GenCon swag, became considerably smaller. The Miss Terious on offer, lasted longer in the raffle than I expected, and everything got off to a great start with a 6 player Evil Baby Orphanage game. Thanks for all the Evesham locals, you make running events fun. However next time I need Paul to not pick a date that clashes with one of Cloussau's events.
  13. Usual things from me. Sundays makes it strong possibility. Saturdays makes it highly unlikely. Distance is doable. Interest based on day, voiced.
  14. I would like to say I am not glossy at all.
  15. Ah hello. Slight delay on welcoming another West Midlands player to the fold, due to the sporadic nature of gaining Internet access in the US. I hear that the Walsall event went well, and it will be good to get up there one Friday.
  16. Due to Olympic fever, work becoming a pain, and trying to get everything painted for GenCon, I had not got around to posting results. 1) Amelia J-S 2) Gareth P (myself) 3) Justin H 4) Simon R 5) Alan J 6) Michael V 7) Stuart D Well done to Amelia who made the most of claiming as many of the higher point, but more obscure achievements. I will have to give her a Nightmare Teddy, when I next see her. Demos will continue for both Malifaux and Puppet Wars at the store, for the next few Sunday's (excluding GenCon weekend,) with the culmination being Sunday 26th gaming.
  17. On paper they look fantastic. How they play, time will tell. Its nice to see Harmless being used to a decent effect, Defensive stance manipulation will make them hard to shift. And there is a use for a :crows
  18. With my League at Total Wargamer about to wrap up, its time to look towards August. So I will be running Demonstrations of Malifaux and Puppet Wars =-O during the School holidays. Every Sunday (except 19th August,) I will be around at Total Wargamer in Evesham, Worcestershire, for demos of either game, an actual friendly game, or even just a chat, about the hobby. This will culminate with a Scheduled Malifaux day in store on Sunday 26th August. Every game played will earn you a ticket, with bonuses for winning, brawls etc. and at the end of the day, I shall raffle off some of my GenCon swag. Store link is below. http://www.totalwargamer.co.uk/total-wargamer-shop-evesham.html
