  1. I think the next episode will come off less negative. We have already spoken on what we didn't like. Art is something I love about malifaux and there is some great art in the new range. Community will be both positive and negatives. We have both have seen fracturing in our local groups, but I have also seen a rise in interest of the game. I am also getting more games of m2e in hopes that my views change. I will be flipping for deployment to give them a proper chance as well. I look forward to talking more about my experiences and what has changed for me after them. Bill and I both took long breaks from the game hoping to come back and enjoy it again.
  2. Thanks for the jabs Bill. Not all of us are so lucky to "work" from home . first off: my comparison to wm/h is its streamlining of rules to make it easier to understand and thus make it a solid Ruleset for a competitive environment. I feel not only it an aim for m2e to be open to new players but also have a Ruleset that could be competitive. For me is rather have my fluffy game and use my hordes armies for the other. 2nd: the issue of hordes vs elite is very interesting to me. I'm unsure if the Intent was to counter the str of elite crews or just how it panned out after setting up the new strats and schemes. It's definitely a topic id like to return to after more games. 3rd: thanks for everyone's comments so far. I plan on continuing to get more games of m2e and talking about my experiences. Maybe something will click for me too.
  3. Yeah I noticed that the day after. What a cheater lol.
  4. Thanks so much. That clears it up nicely!
  5. In one game I was in a room with an enemy model and started off in melee range of it. There was no other model in LoS. I know with swine dash you have to push the entire charge distance but what happens when there are walls behind the person?
  6. Yeah I will have to make some videos for sure. First week is in the bag and I have 3 games worth of battle reports, some hobby, and first week thoughts on the blog. http://Grem13.blogspot.com
  7. @Lupus just written battle reports to start with. Video battle reports may come in future. @Omen not concerned with people knowing somers tricks. If anything they can tell me what I did wrong when trying to figure them all out!
  8. Check your twitter more often!! I'm finished with your gift. Just need to get some bubble wrap so I can safely ship it. Made sure that was finished before touching anything else.
  9. Thanks a lot. You know better than most about how bad I am at focusing on things. Go at it as hard ad possible and then burn out. Hoping to beat it this time.
  10. Thanks everyone. And yes I did see your thread Soshi and I think it's great. I also have another person on twitter taking up Gremlins for the year. Looking forward to seeing how this goes. I created a blog to track hobby progress, gaming, battle reports etc. for any of those interested: Grem13.blogspot.com Will also being talking about this on our next episode.
  11. Well the new year is here and with that comes resolutions. Well I have had trouble with sticking with masters and even factions in the past and always get distracted by new shinys. So this year I have decided to challenge myself to sticking to a single master and henchman for an entire year for Normal 1 on 1 games (already signed up for a team tourney). For this I have decided on Somer and Ophelia. I have always loved gremlins, but have had no games with Somer and a small amount with Ophelia. So this year will be a lot of learning for me as I try to learn an entire new pool of models. After talking to a couple gremlin players and reading posts I have pulled together a large selection of gremlins to prepare for the year of gaming. Somer box ophelia box egg hauler whisperer taxidermist extra blister of bayous 2 packs piglets stuffed pigs 4 mosquitos Lenny mctavish pigapult also have aSomer, young Lacroix, and extra blister of bayous and stuffed pigs on the way. Pair this with 3 new gremlin models coming out and that's a massive amount of hobby time ahead. I'm very excited for this because I know it will look amazing once finished. I plan on blogging my adventure over the year as I build my gremlins and learn to play them as best as I can. Just wanted to post out of excitement and have a place for questions I don't find answers to. Now let Grem13 begin!!
  12. Podbean went down last night leaving us, and many other malifaux podcasts, unreachable. They are back up now so things should start showing up.
  13. Lol can't believe the vuvuzilla was that loud. I was 2 rooms away! I promise it will be the only episode it appears in.
  14. I had the same issue. Definitely supporting suggestion of assembling cloth and hat and head together before attaching to body. Doing the hat and cloth after head was attached was a pain. Keeping a bit of The tab below the feet is also a great idea. Now mine are assembled, they look great and well worth it. Had I had this information before building mine I'm sure it would have been a smoother process.
