This is something that I'll be working out shortly. I'm aware that this will cover different time zones and people have other time commitments so that will be taken into account. For the most part I'll probably leave it up to people to set their own time limits before each game. I want this to be a bit of fun and therefore don't want to add time limits, etc that might not suit everyone. It might be that there ends up being time limits but people have the option to ignore/amend them if both players agree on it before the game. I'll come up with some ideas of what I think might work and will post them up here for people to comment on, I can then adjust things if necessary. As this is probably going to be one of the first Vassal based competitions, we probably won't get everything spot on straight away but I'll try and get as close as possible.

I'll be listening to this tonight and complaining that there's not enough bad words in it I'd be happy to get a Vassal game in with you at some point (suppose I should work out how to use it before Podcast Wars kicks off). I really like the idea of the terrain competition, I'll definitely be in on that. You may even get to use the resulting abomination as I'll use it for the Vappa tournament. Anything that encourages different parts of the hobby gets a big thumbs up from me.

1st was my 1st ever tournament and 2nd it was my partner's 1st ever and he had never used any of the models on the table. Your excuse-fu is not strong.

I ws thinking it could either start straight after Vappa (i.e. 2nd week in Feb) or just after the winter campaign finishes. Either way, we can have a chat about it over a pint at Vappa.

I was thinking of both so there'll be podcast bragging rights and also individual bragging rights within the casts too. We don't want Dom getting dragged down by Craig, it wouldn't be fair.

So almost like the American sports conference system? That's definitely worth considering. I'll get ideas, etc from everyone and then mash them together into a smorgasbord of Malifaux goodness.

Before game 1 I'll flip a card and everyone will be doing that strategy. Apologies if that wasn't clear in the rules pack. I'll do the same for each game (I might even do all 3 at the start of the day to help people marry up their schemes throughout the day).

It would be me and Shane for us, maybe Nathan too depending on numbers as it looks like he's the new Jake. Would be mainly for bragging rights but a prize wouldn't be too hard to sort out.

I'm sure by now we have all worked out which Malifaux podcast is the best to listen to but, which podcast crew is actually best at playing the game? (Clearly it's going to be the Bayou Broadcast but let's pretend it's not otherwise this idea is pointless!). Following the launch of the Malifaux Vassal module, we may be able to definitively answer this question. What I would like to propose is a Vassal based league between as may regular podcast hosts as are interested to see who comes out top. Please note that I did say REGULAR hosts, therefore bringing in a ringer (e.g. the Malifools using Joel) would not be allowed. Apologies if I miss any but I think the list of eligible podcasts would be; Soulstone Train Malifools Bayou Broadcast Tartan Skirmish Radio Cheated Fates Radio Aethervox Lost Boys Radio Malibros (the new one from the Black Sun guys) Gamers Lounge Through the Breach SeanHammer There's a couple more that I know of (e.g. D6 Generation) that cover Malifaux along with other games and some other formats (e.g. Joeyfaux on YouTube) that would be more than welcome to join in. If I missed anyone, please let me know (more than anything so I can subscribe to them!). Please let me know what you think and, if you're a host, if this is something you'd be interested in.

Hadn't noticed that, I just lifted it straight from the new GG document. I'll check to see if there's an official amendment to this and I'll get it changed. I think your interpretation is going to be correct but I'll check just to make sure.
