  1. Go on then, but only because you want to smash Craig
  2. Chris - I've added you to the list. Dom - I'll make sure I get the booster seats ordered for you
  3. That was our best hope for round 1 too! Next up is SST vs Cheated Fates, I guarantee that won't end well. At least there's still TSR and the Malibros to pin our hopes on (I've discounted the Malifools, they'll lose).
  4. I've updated the ticket information, the rules pack will be coming in the next couple of days.
  5. People said the same about Soulstone Train and we're at 11 and only getting more into it. I for one am looking forward to giving this a listen at some point this week (downloaded and ready).
  6. Toy Soldier is nearly upon us again and I'll be running the Malifaux tournament there this year. Unlike Craig last year, I don't intend to play 40k and pass out at a bus stop. The event is on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2013 and is being held at the North West Gaming Centre in Stockport. Tickets are £21 for the weekend and although it doesn't include food, you do get table service. There is also a bar! To obtain a ticket just send your entry fee to marauder.games@googlemail.com on PayPal. It's a multi-system tournament and it's a big venue. Apparently the venue has been expanded over 2 floors since last year's event. Rules pack: http://yorkgarrison.co.uk/media/kunena/attachments/4960/TS13_MAL.pdf This will also be a ranked event. As with all of the events I run, I will be playing if we get an odd number of players to ensure that no-one has to have a bye. If you have any questions about this event (or anything else), you can contact me at; Email - guildmonkee@gmail.com Twitter - @guildmonkee Skype - guildmonkee (feel free to use this to hammer me on Vassal too) or you could just DM me on here or post in this thread. Anyone that expressed an interest in attending on the previous thread, I will contact to see if you're still interested. I'll then update the entrant list accordingly. Entrant list (provisional) Nathan Chenery Dom Westerland Shouty Dave James Doxey Stuart Cain Chris Holloway Greg Piskosz - paid
  7. Jo has stepped down from running this event and, following discussions with Darran at NWGC, I've agreed to take it on. As I won't be able to update the first post on this thread for entrants, etc I'll start a new thread for the event.
  8. Craig, any news on whether these are being recorded on Steamforged or not? If so, do you have any instructions?
  9. Please be gentle, my ice golem is fragile.
  10. Really? I totally thought you'd be taking Neverborn!
  11. I've just recorded the round 1 draw with a glamourous assistance (Jon from the Malifools). I've uploaded that recording and it's available by clicking the banner in my signature (like you're not all already subscribed!). Here's the first round draw; Through the Breach Vs Malifools Gamers Lounge Vs Bayou Broadcast Cheated Fates Vs Soulstone Train Lost Boys Radio Vs Tartan Skirmish Radio Malibros get the round 1 bye. Round 1 will last from March 18 to April 1st. Each round you'll play each of the opposing hosts (or as many as you can) and the round score will be based on an average of the individual results. Each round is fixed faction for each person, factions can be changed between rounds. Games are 35SS, random shared strategies and schemes are unique per round (schemes are reset each round). Each podcast gets a wildcard that can be played in just 1 round. That is an extra person that they can bring into their team for just that round. The wildcard player can be anyone, the only rule is that they can only represent 1 podcast (i.e. 2 podcasts can't use the same wildcard player). It's up to you which round you play your wildcard in but bear in mind, once it's gone it's gone.
  12. The first round draw for this is happening tonight, I'll be recording it and putting it out as a special episode of SST with some additional information in it too (I'll write them up and put them on here too). The first round games can start as early as tomorrow. The one thing I forgot to ask for is the Skype names of everyone entering so I can send them out at the start of each round to make things easier. Please could you email them to soulstonetrain@gmail.com or DM them to me on here? ---------- Post added at 06:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:38 PM ---------- I've not had a list yet from TTB, you'll go into the draw and we can sort it out before games start.
  13. Will anyone be down for the Friday night for this? Want to sort my hotel booking and trying to decide when to come.
  14. I'm still waiting to hear about entrants for a couple of casts so I'll heckle them on Twitter when I get home from work and then get the draw done. My aim for the night is to also learn how to use Vassal!

  16. Nice, it's almost as good as Ben Halford's stuff
  17. Alright guys and gals, time for a little update. Apologies that this has been a bit quiet, that damn real life thing has been a bit of a hobby wrecker recently. This will now officially kick off on March 1st with rounds lasting 2 weeks. Games will be 35SS and use the gaining grounds strategies (if you don't have access to these just email me, details are below). At the start of each round I'll match up podcasts and you'll have 2 weeks to play against as many of their hosts as possible (timings may get revised for later rounds), you can play multiple games against a host but only the first result will count for round scoring. Can somebody from each podcast either DM or email me (guildmonkee@gmail.com) a list of hosts wishing to participate in this event and I will assess their eligibility. Once I have everyone's responses I'll do the first round draw. It'll continue until every podcast has played each other and then we'll have Soulstone Train, er, I mean the winner.
  18. We follow pretty much anyone that mentions Malifaux, not just UK based.
  19. You could always ask Jake ---------- Post added at 07:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:12 PM ---------- Cheers or the early interest, I'll look to get more details up later in the week.
