  1. Rasputina rules! She's so hardcore, she kills and mains fellow Arcanists.
  2. Yeah, she's on a 40mm base so I'm looking at her being about as tall as a flesh Golem. I'm liking Reaper werewolves though. However I'm more anxious than ever for the Wyrd miniature to come out.
  3. All great suggestions and I'll look into them. They are all rather short though. I was hoping for a model about 40 or 50mm tall. And lithe as well, I hope this isn't too much to ask.
  4. Oops, sorry. She's taller than average but still Ht2, has long legs angled twice like a wolf with sharp claws. Long arms ending in long clawed fingers. She's got an impressive mane of hair, a snub beast-like muzzle and pointed ears. Someone described her as Wendigo's wife (from Marvel comics) Oh and she appears to be naked apart from strategic fur.
  5. Does anyone have a suggestion for a Blessed of December model proxy. Hopefully one that will be easily recognisable as a were-woman.
  6. Rasputina is particularly hard to win with because of her poor maneuverability. Expect to take a good thrashing whilst you're learning! Amen to that! Silent Ones and Essence are auto includes, SnowStorm is very useful for certain strats and schemes and I prefer the use a proxied Gunsmith in place of the Convict Gunslinger as he gives me more options for killing, bwa ha haa. 7. Rasputina is much cooler (no pun intended) tha Marcus. "I'll stay right here, thanks; and stuff dies..."
  8. Ok boys, it's time to step away from this. As a female gamer myself I kinda knew what to expect when it came to female miniatures; hell I also play Sisters of Battle, ever seen a Repentia? All miniature companies make miniatures that reflect the character they want to represent on the table and, if that person happens to be a buxom wench then so be it. An inch high model is not offensive to me. Let's all make friends again Rhaksha ps. Joss is gorgeous
  9. Just my two Penn'orth; I would so shoot the chick in the wheelchair.
  10. Dezzo posted a good solid list with all of Raspy's toys present. A silent one, SnowStorm and Gamin make up my core lists now, unless SS is likely to die quickly to magic or melee when a Golem or Librarian makes it in instead. Haven't run desperate mercs yet, but more activations gives you the upper hand in most games. Even so, it's your first tournament so go and have fun, you know you want to. I've learned more from playing tournaments than from reading the books. Your fellow Acolyte (or in my case Silent One) Rhaksha
  11. I was wondering how Rasputina casting December's Curse into melee works with overpower? Do I continue targetting the initial model or do I have to reflip for target upon each casting? What happens if I don't target the same unit, does overpower fail? Hope you can help. Rhaksha
  12. <rolls eyes> tsk ..but seriously, an awesome job. I hope I can do Dead Justice similar.... erm justice. Rhaksha
  13. Thanks for a great tournament guys. Thanks especially to ninjahamster for organising such a fun event. Roll on September in Leeds. Rhaksha
  14. A plan involving beer is almost as good as a plan involving zombie hookers See you Saturday Rhaksha
  15. I use a wet palette all the time now. They are very useful as you can easily mix paints to get a full range of blends very easily, and you can preserve that special colour you just mixed for a lot longer (even overnight) The box I use is a 'Very Useful Box' from Rymans (a local stationers) which seems to have been designed for use as a pencil case. Rhaksha
  16. Yep, that's it fog. That's the only way to take out a 'Creepy Fogged' Stitched with ranged spells. The only other method is to win at Gamble your Life (which is fun to do)
  17. Thanks guys. I think I get it now. For the purposes of Ice Mirror the minion is a Ht# blob through which Spells can be cast. I'm sad that I can't nuke Stitched Togethers but at least I know where the limits are. Rhaksha ps. Hans is still awesome...
  18. As Soundwave said in the 'Ice Mirror, Gamin and Bully' thread: "It's not the gamin targeting Hamelin, it's Rasputina. Under Ice mirror it states: "When casting a spell, this model may draw LoS and range from a friendly model.... So Rasputina targets using the Gamin's LoS and range." So one of two things can happen; either we're assuming Raspy is in the place of the Ice Mirror minion for LOS purposes, which means that we get a situation where Ht1 Gamin can be used to target Ht1 enemy over a Ht1 wall (as Raspy is Ht2) or, we're drawing LOS 'from the eyes' of the Ice Mirror minion with their Ht and abilities intact. So I'm still on the side of Rasputina being able to Ice Mirror through Minions with Hunter to target enemy through 6" of terrain. Hope I'm not overcomplicating things Rhaksha edit: less stealth, more sledgehammer
  19. Yes Silent Ones are useful, but before that read the Pull My Finger wiki entry on Rasputina. It's well laid out and detailed, I know 'cos I wrote some of it When you get the Cult box read and reread all the stat cards ( there aren't that many) and play a few practice games against other crew boxes and see if you like Rasputina's playstyle. From then you can decide where to go next. Hope that helps Rhaksh
  20. Just please be careful with the craft knife. (Sorry Health & Safety is my job)
  21. This arose in a game I had last week and was hoping for some clarification. Peacekeeper melee strikes a Gamin and gets his Toss trigger. The Gamin defends (unsuccessfully) and gets his Sub Zero trigger and takes enough Dg to kill him. The Gamin('s Corpse) would obviously suffer the toss (unless he was statued which he wasn't) but would the Peacekeeper end his activation? In the end we flipped for it, but input would be appreciated. Thanks Rhaksha
  22. Now that we have established that North Wind (from the Silent One) does not increase the range of Ice Mirror from 6" to 9" I've been looking again at this nifty trick and I have a few questions. The wording on Ice Mirror is; "When casting a spell, this model may draw LOS and range from a friendly model with Frozen Heart within 6"...." Does this mean I can cast December's Touch on a Freikorps Trapper for example and thus draw LOS through 6" of terrain (still firing only 10" though )? Does this mean also that I can Ice Mirror through Hans and benefit from his Goggles ability to ignore spell effects and potentially fire December's Curse 10" from Hans to strike a Stitched Together who thinks he is safe in his Creepy Fog? Thanks Rhaksha
  23. May I also recommend Ghost Grey from Vallejo for the same effect. Ice Blue (GW) always gives me chills.....
