  1. Hello again all - Great Escape Games in Sacramento will be hosting a 60 point brawl on Saturday, July 9. The tournament starts at 11am, the entry fee is still only $5. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place. We carry the entrie line of Malifaux products, along with paint, dice, and all the accessories you need. See you there!
  2. Hi all! We are hosting another tournament at Great Escape Games in Sacramento. The tournament will start at 11am on Sunday, June 19. The entry fee is $5, and crews should be 35ss. Thanks and see you there!
  3. Where? Great Escape Games in Sacramento. When? Sunday, May 22. The tournament starts at 11am. How many points? Each player will bring 35ss. That means a team will have 2 players and 70ss total! Ok, what’s it cost? The entry fee is cake. Homemade or store-bought, cupcakes or layer cake, you decide! There are only two rules: bring enough for everyone (10-12 people) and you must be willing to eat your own cake This will be a 3 round tournament, and each team will be randomized at the start of the round. We will be using predetermined strategies, schemes will be unique, and hand size is 4 each. You are allowed to cheat on your ally, and we'll be using half hand size for half crew. You’ll want to register ahead of time, so if you cant make it in to the store feel free to call us at 916.927.0810 and register over the phone. Also remember to have your models glued to a base and they should have some form of paint on them, even if its basic. If you’re like me, you’re confused about the cake. I asked Adam, and he says the plan is simple – everyone brings cake. During the game, we all share each others’ cake. After the tournament, the winners get to keep whatever cake is leftover. Revolutionary? Perhaps. Delicious? Definitely!
  4. Hi everyone! Great Escape Games will be holding its Inaugural Malifaux Tournament on Wednesday, April 20. The tournament will start at 6:30pm and the entry fee is only $5, which will be folder back into prize support. Bring a 35ss crew and stake your claim! More information can be found on the Great Escape Games Malifaux page. We are also having a Paint and Play event on Sunday, April 17th. It starts at noon, and would be a perfect time to work on your crew and get some practice in for the tournament!
  5. Great Escape Games is hosting another Malifaux Paint and Play event on April 17, 2011. Thanks to everyone who showed last time, it was a blast! If you are new to the game or want to try it out, Inari, Adam, and Gerardo will be there for demo games and rules questions. If you have already started your crew, this is a great way to get involved in the Malifaux community at the shop. We have regular Malifaux play days every Friday and Wednesday starting at 5:30pm. Malifaux Paint get-together noon - 2pm. Get those minis painted! 2 hours should be enough to paint a small crew, for instance one of the Starter Boxes. Malifaux games from 2pm - 6pm. Use your newly painted models to shoot, stab, and bewitch your way to victory! See you there!
  6. There is no fee to play, the store has plenty of tables and terrain. Games have usually been around 20-25 ss, since most of the boxed crews fit into that range. You don't have to have painted models, thats why we are having a group paint session from 11am to 2pm You can bring your own paint and primer, and the store carries plenty of brushes, paints, and supplies if you need anything.
