Had my first game with Rasputina and it went really well. I drew Slaughter and he drew Claim Jumper so it was just a big slug fest in the middle of the board. My opponent was playing Kirai straight out of the box and I was playing Rasputina straight out of the box. By turn 3 I had reduced his crew to Ikiryo and Kirai. Ikiryo was then killed by a shattering gamin. He knocked out Rasputina and my last two gamins in turn 4 leaving just the Ice Golem and Kirai to face off. He drew initiative and summoned Ikiryo who killed my Ice Golem which ended the game. He had only Kirai left on the board with 4 wounds. Was a very fun game.

Thanks so much for your help guys. Can anyone give me a basic run down on the Silent Ones? I'm not acting for exact stats since I know it's against the rules, but what role do they fulfill on the battlefield?

Ok so I am looking at Essence of Power, Cerberus, 2 Hoarcat prides and a Silent One. Is just one Silent One enough or should I get two? Also, what about December Acolytes? Thanks for your help!

I have decided to pick up the Rasputina box and I have a little extra money to pick up a few models in addition to it so I can have some options when building my crew. I have about $40 USD left to buy some stuff. I'm trying to get enough for a rounded out 30-35SS list but I just don't know what to get even after reading over the tacticas in order to maximize my dollars. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Picking up the Pandora box and wondering what else I should grab along with it. So far I'm getting Coppelius, Stitched Together and some Alps so I can be a little flexible with what I take. Primarily playing 25 and 30 ss games at the moment. Are the Insidious Madness models out yet?

I'm trying to find a good ranged crew to play with. I know the Ortegas are pretty shooty, but I am a big fan of Lady Justice and her ability to destroy things at close range. I was wondering if taking her with some ranged support would be a good idea. If so, can you recommend some good shooty models to take along with her? I was thinking of Nino for sure but beyond that... I'm just not sure.

Yeah Nico does look like he would need a lot to get started in terms of stuff to summon. With Zoraida I could probably spend less and still get what I'm after. Thanks for helping me narrow things down guys!

The more read up on tactical articles the more I realize how dependent he is on understanding and mastering the art of the activation sequence. That being said, I think I may opt for another slightly less precise Master to learn the sequence, but one that will still allow me to experiment with being tricksome and devious. Because I am a tricksome and devious sort of guy. So now I'm considering Nicodem because... wall of undead is just fun but it seems like he has some castery bits that would let me cause some havoc on the battlefield. Seamus also gets a nod because Lure would be fun, but his top hat is inferior to Nicodem's. Zoraida also looks quite appealing simply because the idea of hexing and Obey seems like it would be cool, as would taking a Waldgeist for creating forests and such. Malifaux has too much cool stuff.

So far I think I'll pick up the following: Leveticus box set Desolation Engine Jack Daw Killjoy Some extra Waifs Some Necropunks for mobility for seizing objectives And that's it.

I think I'll probably end up going with Leveticus because I enjoy the idea of being extremely hard to kill, permanently anyways, and the thought of dropping Killjoy and a Desolation Engine to rip things apart is equally enjoyable.

Lilith looked pretty cool. Aside from the starting box do you have any recommendations on what to get for her?

Which crews are considered 'easy' by most people on the forum?

I'm a new Malifaux player and trying to decide which crew to purchase initially. My current favorites are The Dreamer, Nicodem and Zoraida and Leveticus. However, I would like to find a crew that is forgiving to beginner mistakes and also allows for some flexibility in list construction later down the road. If you have any suggestions about good starting crews, please let me know! Thanks!
