  1. Great news James, lots of great fluff in that book its a really good read. Been ill for the last few days but feeling a bit better today, I'll swat up on the rules tomorrow trouble is my brain is like a seive, must be my age, I only seem to have enough memory for a finite amount of rulesets these days.

  2. playing alot of Castle Ravenloft the D&D board game at the moment to. I have a resonable collection of games like Dominion and the new edition of Space Hulk.

  3. Ah ok, read and heard alot of good things about Warmachine but not played it yet, talking about Privateer Press though I have a load of Monsterpocalypse, havent played for a while but its a great game. Painted alot of 40k but dont play it same with some of Mantics undead miniatures. I picked up the rulebook for Dystopian Wars the other day which looks great, may have a lok at that at some point.

  4. nice work Adam. I had a day off today and played a few test games against myself! just getting my head around the rules. The basics are pretty staright forward but there are alot of unique abilities for each character. I tried out some basic spells and strikes. I'll be in Plymouth at PAW when it opens so heres my number 07724898562, give me a shout whenever you want.

  5. The only thing I need to grab are some cover models. I may nip over to GW in Torquay tomorrow and grab some of those WH fences and walls, also the 40k misc battlefield models look like they may fit in barrels and such.

  6. Thats great news, I didnt buy the second book but have read thru the core rules a few times, took me a while for it to 'kinda' click, lovely system from what i can work out. My wife loves the art style and is also up for playing, definately appealing to the ladies and your right it must be all those nurses uniforms and knee high boots. I picked up Mcmourning and Criid.

  7. I used OG once and it took over a week! I use Firestorm for all my malifaux bits and they tend to send it out same day. The chap that owns Firestorm used to live in Brixham when he was growing up:)

  8. Thats ok, maybe my privacy settings filtered it, I dunno. I added you anyway.

  9. just look up Chris Hallett from Brixham, think I'm the only one.

  10. Saturday is looking good then. If you guys have a facebook account you can add me and get a glimpse of my ugly mug so you can recognise me on the day.

  11. Let me know when your rulebook arrives because its probably worth you spending a few days with it beforehand, its not the easiest book to get you head around.

  12. Sounds like a plan, didn't even know it existed. I'm free for that weekend so I'll definately attend, let me know which day your going and we'll catch up. If it looks good I may even go for both days depending on what my wife and daughter are up to, may be able to drop them off in town beforehand.

  13. Hey people! loved the look and sound of Malifaux so jumped in. Just picked up 2 crews, went with the Criid and McMourning starters and I just finished painting them, those models are lovely to paint. I'm almost finished with the rules so looking forward to my first few games. Just noticed a few other posters from the South West so hopefully catch up with them asap. Oh and also just built a basic 3x3 game board so raring to get started:)
  14. Hey fellas, I'm from Brixham and in Plymouth quite alot. Definately fancy meeting up as I've also just aquired a couple of crews, went with Criid and McMourning theyre painted up and ready to rock! also just built a simple 3x3 board. I've pm'd you Golum and Devilshot/ Hopefully catch up soon:)
  15. Hi DevilShot. I'm actually in Plymouth quite often as my mum lives there, I live in Brixham so just up the road from you. I've also just started playing and bought a couple of starters and the rulebook and decks. If you fancy meeting up playing a few games drop me a line.
  16. Thanks for the replies fellas. Is there an ETA for the new book and will it include Rising Power content?
  17. I've just finished reading the rulebook and I must say that I'm so glad that I already had an understanding of the basic game concepts before reading it because if I'd approached the game cold I would be have been more than a touch confused. Don't get me wrong I'm really enjoying Malifaux and will be spending alot of time and money on it but I have to say some of those rule explanations at the beginning of the book are probably not the clearest I've ever read. As the book progresses and the player is introduced to the turn sequence etc it does become a little clearer but I do think to a noob who is having a cursory glance over the opening chapters before a purchase it could have been made a little less confusing. I've read that a new mini rulebook is on its way maybe it will be a little more noob friendly? Just an observation.
