I've been looking at pictures of the new stuff here and there for the past week or so. The only model that has really caught my interest has been the undead thing that is just a disembodied head. Other than that i'm not really feeling the look of the models I've seen. My favorites now are nytmare teddy and chompy. Nekima, arcane gunslinger,kaeris, and my whole collette crew. Looking at the new stuff, it just seems like it's not even on the same level. Is it more of a thing where I just need to see them in person or maybe i'm just not into this whole asian theme they have going on. What are the most impressive looking models with good detail from the new book?

I'm right there with you in thinking nekima needs to be released... as one of my favorite models, so just isn't done justice

I think all the reasons why to hire these models have been said plenty of times so here is my plain list. I think i'm only going to do the models that I wouldn't normally just summon. That seems like it should be another post. 1. night terrors. 2. Necropunk 3. nurse 4. canine remains 5. molly.

I share a conern that Gencon is hurting sales in local gaming stores. Though I think alot of times, it's the players and possibly the store owners responsibility to support what I like to refer to as "buy here, play here" mentality, that keeps brick and mortar stores healthy. It definitely screws over the local guy when you order 10 or 15 copies of a rulebook only to find out your player base purchased a few days later from Gencon. While it's definitely a issue, I don't really know how to go about solving it. STore owners need to charge a nominal fee for time and space used in there store if people aren't going to pay for product in that store. even if its a dollar per player per day.

I think balancing schemes could be a huge factor in taking malifaux to the next level of popularity in gamers. Your solution seems rock solid from what I have read

I say give her a henchmen reserve of the cost of a tot or young nephalim and use soulstone and its a rap. Best henchmen in the game for my tastes

I look at tuco like every other day in book 3 when i'm bored and he has never impressed me. I dont see why he would be better than two tots

I didnt really understand how the bury mechanic changed them. Basically now they function something along the lines of burying them all, running forward a MSU member, then ubrying them all at the end of the turn. When they unbury they can't all attack right?

actually the best place for any information regarding malifaux tactica are these boards. I have a showgirls tactica post up and so do a few other people. enjoy yourself and be sure to read the established tactica to understand the crew. Most of all don't take the game too seriously so you can continue to play for a long time to come.

kaeris box set is really good, so are the showgirls. I think kaeris will be a better starting point for you though. I would expand with probably Joss. Malifaux is fairly balanced if you know the weaknesses of the other crews that are around and how to exploit them.

I like the union miners, I just feel there is a distinct lack of established discussion of tactics involving them. Anyone care to add some input or shine some light on how best to utilize these book 3 minions? -shawn

I concur the only reason I play this game is the fact that everything is unique rules wise and story driven. The fact that it's so ridiculously affordable to anyone that works helps too.

When I make posts such as this one, it isn't to complain about the game of malifaux by any means. I think these are enlightening discussions, that show weaknesses that should eventually be addressed by wyrd in their endeavor to perfect the already great game that malifaux is. Is there a purpose to having models that are terrible such as the razorspine rattler? I can only see benefit in making models with terrible rules alittle better.

I think that malifaux has a great number of masters. This next book will likely add a large amount of minions and I'm sure it takes quite a bit of effort to make sure everything balances out. I look forward to this year's genCon for malifaux!

Would you say that this page is only rules clarifications and previous updates to models? Or will there be new updates and/or new rules clarifications as of the opening of this new webpage. Collette's crew is pretty amazing... I think you need to concern yourself with being able to protect your super weak models from her coryphee. Collette has a harder time typically trying to kill cheap, sturdy models with modifiers like hard to wound and armor. I usually sell people on malifaux by asking if they have fifty bucks. Tell them if they make 10 bucks a hour, they can work 5 hours, take that money and will have a useable malifaux crew forever.

her box set, especially the golem will frustrate you. Do yourself a favor and get a coryphee and a essence of power.

malifaux is a game that's affordable enough to where you and a buddy should buy crews or you even can buy two crews. Then paint them up really nice and play whenever you get down time and you are around people who you think might be interested. You really have to create your player base sometimes.

I feel omenbringer has the right idea. For his price, I think hans should be the best sniper or Antisniper. At this point, in my opinion he isnt the best at either. Question about hans. If I obey him to move, then later activate him, can he not shoot that sniper rifle? I never use him anymore, or This simple ruling would probably be commited to memory

I feel as if the newer edition of malifaux is probably within 3 books. I say that because it's been one a year and 5 years feels like the maximum possible time that book one should be left in it's current edition.

let me start off by saying I love alot of the models from book one. What i'm wondering is what's a good time frame to see a newer edition of the first book, and if the model's will have updated rules. Also, I think certain models deserve alternate sculpts. Loving the new alt's.
