  1. my public liability insurance would be really expensive if i did so drunkness after
  2. sword fighting archery film making and getting drunk so same as you bloody expensive stuff
  3. i agree with everyone else here their great if stuff is in stock but the rest of the time they're a pain and getting a reply out of them by email with anything helpful is like drawing blood from a stone...and as for the phone i've tried but never been able to get through it just keeps ringing no matter what time of day you call
  4. did it involve a drill and chopped liver?
  5. they are funky volcano bases but if you'd rather just flames coming up from a cracked floor maybe change the colour of the floor and add so little jets of flames like with flame base accessory pack thingamabobdohickeygubbins
  6. p3 pinning set refills come with two drill bits and a few rods of the pinning material of the same diameter they do them in lots of sizes 0.85mm is usually ok for your average humanoid sized mini but you can get smaller ones if need be http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk/index.php?act=cat&cre=hob-fp3-mod maelstrom are pretty good on the price for these if they have them in stock if not expect a long wait before i found the refill kits for £2 odd i was usually paying £1 a drill bit by itself from the local hobby store
  7. not my site just thought some may want to take a lood and win an ipad thingy could care less if GW sues people not played 40k in ages
  8. sounds like one of those moments that happens in slow motion with an inner monologue of NOOOOOOOOO!
  9. dreadlocks do have a fair bit of weight behind them but really it shattered? what the hell is he hiding in them? miniature warhammers? hopefully he's learned to tie them back while painting
  10. that's as wrong as one of the guy's i used to play against insisting that all his cavalry be anatomically correct...you really don't want or need me to say any more about this
  11. i've said it before and i'll say it again sodapop miniatures in general (well the relic knights stuff the super dungeon explore don't look so bad but not tried them yet) and mainly pricess malya and mr tomn over all about 20 odd fiddly little pieces some being to small or thin to really pin so you know if it get's a knock you'll be driven insane repairing and re-painting and the knightmare flash the sword on malya's relic needed going over with a pin as it was between almost all the lil energy thingies in the centre of the blade there was a ton by her camel toe and with candy and cola there was one big solid piece filling thegap between her arm and body and the tiny cola bottle in that fox things mouth is a bitch to get mold lines off as too much pressure and the bottle is going to come off that's my rant for the day...well about minis anyway time to go to a meeting haha
  12. i'm sure i saw these on another website recently lol can't wait to see what you do with the other pandora mini
  13. wasn't inquisitor the same sort of scale and price?
  14. last thing i saw was the card preview over on tgn in november
  15. +1 for threaded dome topped bolts and a can but that reminded me of armorcast stuff since they do some conversion kits for drinks cans to be turned into storage towers and quite a few other funky bits their steampunk stuff is a bit more wacky fantasy than malifaux but some of the sci-fi stuff with the right paint job would easily fit the scene like this check out the link http://armorcast.com/store/index.php?cPath=120_36 for the soda can and pringles tube storage units nice simple additions and they make some funky looking terrain
  16. don't give him ideas noone wants to see pics of someone with rotting belles melted to their face
  17. the only large ones i can think of would be rat ogres it's a shame he want's teddy to be the mouse as there are lots of smaller mousey figures now reaper do the mouslings and darksword miniatures have a lot of similar pieces with small furry animals including mice , west highland terriers and even guinea pigs
  18. awesome it's crying out for a seasonal game to be played on it whether it's the right scale or not
  19. don't rush pinning it's all too tempting to use power tools to do it but it ends badly you will drill through the mini and your finger many times i just insert the the drill bit into a screw lock pin vice (about £5 from antics in the u.k.) and use p3 modelling pinning refills 0.85 (about £3 for 2 0.85mm drill bits and some pinning rods from maelstrom) drill the main body first where the joint will attach fill the newly drilled hole with super glue and slot your pin in wipe away any excess with a tissue q-tip or something that'll soak it up and leave it to set one the pin is set and secured paint the tip of the pin in a bright colour and press the bit you wish to attach to the pin against the wet pin in the position you want it in this will give you a nice little dot to aim your drill bit to for the attaching piece once you've drilled the attaching piece slot it on to the pin and make sure you're happy with how it fits and if it's flush and you're happy fill the new hole with glue and slot on to the pin again wiping away any excess glue if there's a gap you need to fill don't bother with greenstuff it's great for building models from scratch and doing many things but it's not the most versatile stuff out there get some milliput yellow grey mix (about £2-3 for quite a sizeable amount again antics in the u.k.) it mixes just like green stuff but if you add lots of water to it's more plyable you can even dissolve it in water down to a milk like consistency to fill in cracks in the model's surface and such so if you have been over zealous and created a small hole while drilling it's not necessarily a total write of you can fill the hole with milliput then get some 500/1000 grain sandpaper and smooth the surface back down so noone can tell what you've done and then you're just ready for priming and painting as for glues i'll say check antics website http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/ they'll have some great Cyanoacrylate glues accelorators/kickers/ activators they also have threadlockers this stuff is not for the feinthearted but if you really never want that part to move again this is the stuff as it's designed to hold screws in place on engines and deal with vibrations from everyday use heavy duty threadlocker will not come lose under 3000psi of pressure though is available in lighter versions plus also take note in if it's permenant or removable blends as the permenant variety may take heat or power tools to remove the part again the stuff they have in antics is blue which is medium strength which will need torque of about 115 in-lb (12 N-m) to remove and has a temperature range of -54 to 149 °C as i said though this stuff isn't for the feinthearted as you can contaminate the bottle by getting the polymer liquid that has had contact with metal to back wash in with the remaining liquid in the bottle so you could theoretically buy a bottle and end up getting on only one use out of it before it completely dries out hope this helps you a bit
  20. got to agree with chucklemonkey whether their easy to pick up and play isn't going to keep you happy if you don't like the minis and soon find them boring to play with shortly after but then like you i got drawn in by the showgirls for the minis and if their tough to play with it just makes it more rewarding when you can play them well ...and welcome
  21. one of my mates has been working on the teaser posters for this you can see some of his work on deviant arts under deviantrich i believe i don't think he's got the ones they'll be using up on there yet for obvious reasons but either way the thor and captain america are looking half way decent
  22. yeah i was shocked by them being that cheap and if they stay that cheap on there it'd certainly encourage me to get more it'll be interesting to see what squall looks like as a mini, i do fancy getting kalico kate but i just don't like the look of the mech and having a one eyed pirate girl on her knees with her mouth wide open is probably more wrong than the camel toe on malya but if i end up buying more of them i know i'll get her eventually and what's with the eyes i kinda thought they'd be bigger on the minis to match the manga style but they look just as small as the eyes on a battle sister unpainted
  23. cheers for the heads up i was tempted to order this one too only thing that had put me off was having to order from the states and pay import tax on top of the cost...big downside to the overly exclusive limited editions...ooh shouldn't bring that up i know many on these boards seem to have issues with that stuff lol if you do get malya try dark sphere it's over £30 pretty much everywhere else they have it for under £20
  24. me too but i know bugger all of the rules and i'm still waiting on some bits to get delivered to crack on with painting the show girls and my fate deck too so i doubt i'll manage a game this side of christmas
