  1. Shoot me an e-mail (cause anything in the forums is only a momentary on my mind thing). I believe we're out as we're sold out of the Gremlinette as well, but its possible that one or two may be squirreled away. If so, we might be able to sort you, otherwise, OCD disaster.

isn't the gremlinette in the V2 cards from outcast? the pdf files?

  2. Hunter allows you to see upto 6" into or out of Obscuring terrain.

It does not let you see completely through the terrain.

Sniper Ignores Cover, obscuring terrain and intervening models. It would allow you to see through Obscuring terrain, but not flame walls as they are not terrain.

Hans' goggles allows him to ignore an enemy spell or Tallent that affects line of sight. I would say that they allow him to ignore an enemy flame wall but not a friendly one.

    Hope that is helpful

    what he said :D

  3. really?

having to maneuver a 4wd, WK 4 model to within 3" of the enemy,

    let an enemy activation pass

then pull off 2 spells AND leave Kaeris within 10" of the enemy, who, even with cheating , it looking at taking only about 4 damage... (+1 at the closing phase)

remember, she has no Companion abilities, so getting position has a delay.

and it's not like the Gamin have a sparking defense either...

    what he said,

they look like an awsome strategy, but i never could manage to cast accelerant more than once, because i had to dish out fire tokens with ignite, or i thought that immolate was the better spell to use to kill a single model.

accelerant is something cheatable, but if you want to cheat on 6 models to get that severe,, be my guest.

i use it in a way that they have to take the paralyze above those 4dg, accelerant is not strong, it's more a psychological thingy

  4. guys, you seem to be forgetting that the only way you take the damage from this spell is if you have burning tokens.

Now, I dont actually know of any way to give folks burning counters *without* them getting a chance to resist.

Sure, it sounds like this can be evil, but to get a lot of use out of it requires a whole heap of set up from the kaeris player, and it can be limited at pretty much any point along the line.

that's where fire gamins and the overload spell are for,

hitting (not wounding) a fire gamin gives you a burning token, overload (or watherver its called, don't have the card on me) kills a friendly construct to give every model within 3 :pulse a burning token. also without resisting.

but you still need the 6:tomes for accelerant to work.

i'm not seeing the problem either,,

  5. I don't have my card on me but... 1 flip per token sounds very wrong to me...

never did it like that, but somebody told me it was like this, it is wrong indeed :) and slighty OP

it is a damage flip,, so i think you can,

so what about an essence of power linked to kaeris? does she get the extra :+fate on that damage flip? i think she does

  6. I will cast thread Necromancy here, sorry (this was the only topic about accelerant...). So, how does Accelerant work? I cast it with Kaeris, and:

    - I flip damage for all affected models, or one flip / model?

    - do i flip it, or my opponent will do it like when his models are in a hazardous terrain?

    - can i cheat it?

    - they choose to take it / paralyzed before or after the flip?

1 flip per model (that's what i always do) i don't remember who said this but it's also 1 damage flip per burning token.

you can cheat it if you want

    before you flip

that's what i think and what I've heard, this is no official rule

  7. hey you guys,

since i love puppet wars and already did some demo's I noticed 1 thing. the black, white, yellow, green, red, purple and blue tokens, i don't like their look, in fact it's one of the reasons some people don't want to buy/play it. the tokens, okay, but giving them only a color,, it would have looked better if they at least have something printed on them

so in this thread, I'm going to give them a look in a way you "know" what they are.

a lot of people said 1 thing, nice models, nice board, nice cards and stat cards, but those color tokens, they just don't fit in. and it's not easy to see the difference in a neutral work bench and impassable terrain on a first glance.

what am I going to do? well, this is wehre i could use some help from you guys.

the board is the top of a table/desk. so the black tokens should be something that could be in the way from the puppets.

i have some different options atm:

a thimble perhaps? some needles in a cussion perhap? or i could just put some "pillars" i have some molds from some nice broken pillers to put on them.

workbenches: maybe a small desk or just put a sticker on it so the people at least know what it is.

and the counters: playing with 4 people, sometimes (most of the times) you don't have enough exausted counters, so i'm going to find a way to print some cheap thin cardboard counters.

+ a king of the hill counter, a shiny counter, etc, etc.

so, what are your opinions in this?

(could be I'm not the only one who started a thread like this but I'm not seeing it atm so i start one myself)

    cheerz

  8. One thing with Ramos is I (personally) don't see Rusty Alyce being worth her SS cost as a merc.

strong shooter, can use ramos his Ca, gives you an extra card to draw, can give ramos reactivate in turn 2 so he can create another scrap counter and manifest and lose the effect of going to 1wd,, hmm,, no your right, not worth it ;)

  9. Still relatively new to the game, but isn't glass cannon the theme of the Arcanists? At least playing with 'Tina, my crew can dish it out, but rarely can we take it. (Of course, the idea is you don't let their melee specialists close, but no plan survives contact with the enemy.)

As for the Mechanical Rider, I do have Ramos, and so will eventually buy it. Besides, the power cycle make for a versatile minion.

Ramos and Rasputina are the reasons I'm playing Arcanists. Ramos had all these great steampunk contraptions in his box, and I thought Rasputina is a great sculpt.

not really, they are kinda tough because they have some armor,

the real glascannons are neverborn, but try to hit them,,

  10. I don't really think the executioner offers Hoffman anything he can't get from a peacekeeper. The Peacekeeper is pure awesome with Hoffman.

If you move at a spider's speed, than the arachnids can give you three constructs in base-to-base easily.

i dunno, hoffman can override the ability that only ramos can heal him, and executioner can give some extra cover and is a beast in melee,
