  1. Thanks for all the kind words ! Regarding the bamboo: if you mean the standing bamboo, it's the bamboo #112 from www.joefix-studio.be Can't remember if I bought it online or in some local shop. Price was € 19.25 :-! Of course, you could also place a bid and then cut the bamboo from the bases
  2. Some pictures of my Kirai crew: It's on E-bay for sale: http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300907406484#ht_500wt_1414
  3. I normally play McMourning, but yesterday I had my first go with Kirai. It will take some time to get her really going I guess. The things to watch out for the most: 1/ Keep her close enough to the battle ( within 8 inches ) 2/ Summon Ikiryo next to an enemy that has already activated this turn, otherwise Ikiryo gets slaughtered and Kirai stays behind with 4 unhealed wounds! 3/ The constant struggle to heal Kirai: it's not that easy... especially since you need to get "In the spirit world" off. I think sacrificing Ikiryo yourself makes a big difference in this. It was fun, especially the big movement-tricks you can do with her. But it's so easy to forget about all the small things... I've mostly read the tactic already posted, but any suggestions are always welcome!
  4. @RotatingPanda: glad you both could sort things out! @Ratty: with all the experience you have with Kirai, you should write a tactica ! But I guess the one thing missing is time?:ballchain
  5. Why didn't you put a little reply here to the 2 posts your opponent put here? He doesn't sound like a bad person to me, going by his posts.
  6. Unfortunately not. Here's the action: (0) Smell Fear: When a model loses a Morale Duel within 6" of this model, but before the model falls back, this model may immediately Charge the model. Smell Fear ends when this model Charges this turn or at the Start Closing Phase. Basically, this action will only be used rarely the way it's ruled right now. Can't imagine that it was intended this way...
  7. Thanks, but as far as I can see, TheBugKing who ruled ( in the post you mention ) that one can charge under Smell Fear, is not an official ruler, while Ratty is ... :dontknow:
  8. Thanks Ratty, but that is very unfortunate. So something at 2.5 inches that loses a morale duel is charged by the Rogue, but an enemy that runs away because of a failed terrifying test at 2 inch cannot be charged ... Sorry for my rant!
  9. When a Rogue Necromancy used its (0) Smell Fear action, and an enemy model at 2 inch loses a morale duel ( terrifying 13 test for instance ), can the Rogue actually charge that model? It's already in melee range... so strictly speaking, it can't even hit the enemy model with a melee strike? Thanks!
  10. Aah, the confusing errata's of the crooked men! They have a V2-bis errata in which is stated: "... ends a move or a push ... "
  11. It's never expensive to start a miniature game (Malifaux anyone?) especially with starter boxes. But then you start to add stuff, and a little more, and it just never ends :fisheye:
  12. The bamboo underneath Kirai is spaghetti. The bamboo next to the seishin ( 3 vertical branches ) is from 'joefix studio'. A whopping 20 € for a small box. But you don't even need to paint it, it comes as you see on the foto.
  13. Just started on my new crew. Went a bit overboard with basing materials: I invested 50 $ in bamboo, leaves, long grasses etc., but I think it's worth it.
  14. I ordered those wooden counters and expect them anyday now. I have high hopes about them.
  15. Punk Zombies are one of my favorites as well. Let a Rotten Belle lure an enemy in range of one or more Punks Zombies, et voilà , succes (almost) garanteed!
  16. He can definately function without canines, although I would advice to take at least the Chihuahua then. Otherwise, you get difficulties in retrieving corpse counters. I often play with the chihuahua and 1 canine. The canine in the first round is chopped to pieces by McM just to get body parts for summoning. For objective grabbing you can then use necropunks for instance.
  17. In my opinion, the nurse is not the easiest model for a beginner... And Flesh constructs are better when summoned I think. My standard list always includes Rotten Belle, Punk Zombie(s), Crooked Man and at least one dog (Chihuahua or Canine Remain). Then depending on the strategy, I decide for further choices.
  18. Impressive crew! I just ordered mine. Could you tell me what color you used for red? It looks more of an orange-brown red and I like that!
  19. They have indeed very sweet looking models, but they are 54mm if I'm correct and as already mentioned here...
  20. A great combo in treasure hunt: run 2 necropunks ( and try to leap of coarse ) up to the treasure. One picks up the treasure. Now if your opponent succeeds in killing that necropunk, you use the slow to die action to pass on the treasure to the other necropunk... who then runs away after that with the treasure.
  21. If you summon the Rogue, it won't die so easily. Just make sure to summon it in melee range with an enemy model. You can also link a grave-spirit to it to make it more durable. Oh, almost forgot: I also made a card for it by using Gimp on one of the pdf-cards. Took me some time, but it looks great.
  22. Indeed not released yet. Here's mine:
  23. I don't really like Mortimer. ( I play McMourning myself ). He's difficult to perform well. The models I use most: Rotten Belle, Punk Zombies, Crooked Men, Canines and summoned Rogue Necromancy.
