  5. Hey Dave, I have a few questions about the henchman program. Sunday afternoons are looking like the only good time I have to play games so I'm putting things together att he store in flint. drop me a line or give me a call. I misplaced your number, sorry.

  6. Thanks for swinging by. leave me a message I may get back to you.

  7. Stupid Luck of the draw. THe only real strategy I had was to drop Papa and slingshot Pere at ya in return. In my first few games I ran Pere out first and he went BOOM! But didn't do anything.. Unlike Papa who didn't get far enough away. The access to fast with the gremlins when I needed it is nice. You'll get me next time.
  8. Detroit has had a habit of shipping out some great gamers to other ends of the country. Okay its for sure, the 28th I will be down to play some Malifaux. Been working on Som er and crew to go with Opelia then of course Colette & Co. as well.
  9. I had this same question a few weeks back while playing. My opponent explained to me that it warked the way as described here.
  10. I will have to post mine when I finish them. I love them.
  11. At least 18 months.. We usually get to play each other like once a year or so. I painted my Colette tonight. She is a beautiful model. December 28th I am looking to make it down to play. THis time earlyier barring sick kids and what not.
  12. Dark Knight and Dox, Guy this is no place as jmp said. I had finally taken a break from doing things for WARMACHINE and Hordes. I made it down a few weeks back on a tuesday to play either Malifaux or hordes. I played Steiner a game of Mailfaux asking him to play Colette versus my Ophelia box. I din't have a bad game but it was my third game and Rob schooled me. Which forced me to read the rules over and I learned a bunch. The Coryphee is indeed really good. With the three doves and spiders rob blew up on my gremlins I had nothing left after turn 3, which left him three turns to kill my wagon I escorted to the center of the table. I look forward to the next time I can make it down to play. As for RIW having a Rep. They have four of the top ten percent of WARMACHINE/Hordes players in the nation. Bowen helps, playtest and write for Malifaux and I am looking forward to grabbing a game with him in the future. Dox and my days of running events around there like crazy are mostly behind us since we have lives taking us other directions. Mini art is a club of wargamers that gather at RIW every third saturday. I have attended two of these but have never felt unwelcome. Even if I had to wait for a table. Lack of communication leads to alot of misinterpretations of people. This includes Rob, Jake, Garrin, Chuck and hell even myself. Long and the short of it is we are here to play games. Tell me what you want and I'll give you a friendly game. Talk trash and throw the gauntlet and you may see the other side of me on the table. In the end it is just a game. If you cut the deck or not. I dabble in Magic, Malifaux, and many other games. If you don't like someone or have an issue with someone. Good for you. I don't care anymore. We all have issues with other people, I'm here to play games and chew bubblegum. Now, I'm all out of bubblegum. I will play anyone anytime, whenever if I'm available. Ophelia & co, Lady justice and Colette all interest me. I have no desire to hear someone cry about some bully at the minis store beating them at a miniature game. It's only a game.:peacekeeper
  13. Thanks for putting this thread together and everyones comments. I am in the process of gluing my box together now and I have only played two games as of yet. Reading this has given me more insight than I would have had in 5-10 games using them.
  14. Hey guys, I have played all of two games of Malifaux now, I have ran the Ohelia box in both games with 2-3 bayou gremlins in support. I don't know what is good or bad really yet but I have faced off against the Victorias and The lady Justice box. I can see where the young Lacroix are better than bayou gremlins as they are kin. I will be rereading the slop hauler later. As far as what I have I set up the bayou gremlins as the front line.y Then catapult Pere into the fray using; Ohh it's a girl. I love the damage output the gremlins have and I noticed they play very nice together. I almost lost my first game as I used reckless too early and too often. I managed to settle down andUsed Ophelia, Raphael and a bayou gremlin to finish off Bishop, jhan and the last Victoria. The second game I used the bayou gremlins as a skirmish line using Pere, Raphael, and Francous as counterpunching pieces with Rami sitting back covering the group. Pere finished off lady justice turn 4. Being able to concentrate fire at12 inches with the boomstick has merit I'm not sure if the extra 4 inches of range matters enough to outweigh taking them over youngins? But I am loving the game. Thanks for this thread.
  15. My other friend who showed me how to play is David Jencks he has the Victorias and Sonnia Criid boxes. Then there are three or four other guys who play and have stuff. Just nothing organized going on. I have been reading the books like crazy and I almost have Ophelia completely painted. Maverickman, there are days up here lately I have been wondering if I've been playing with myself... WAIT! nevermind.. I've been working tons lately and the guys don't hang at the store much on sunday to play minis. Bowen, I lost your phone number when my old Cell tanked. It's great to hear from you and I'd love to talk your ear off. I am diggin the game, the story and the models... I'm really trying to resist picking up Seamus... Dave I'm sorry I couldnt make your event last weekend. I didn't know about it until saturday after it was already rolling.
  16. Hello all, I'm mike and I decided to check out Malifaux finally about two weeks ago. When I was at Gen Con I thought I wanted to pick up the Ophelia box to get started unfrtunately I got wrapped up in other things. Two weeks ago a friend of mine offered me his rulebook, lady justice box his Arcanist crew built around Rasputina and his two fate decks. Last week I picked up the Ophelia box, the Colette box and a few other pieces I wanted. I got to play a demo game using the Opehelia box against the victoria box sunday. Do you have any advice for an old time minis gamers new to Malifaux? Thanks, Mike:ophelia
