  1. Thanks for all of the advice. I have some techniques to practice with
  2. Cool. Thank you. 've ben using Zap a Gap. Is plastic glue working better? I ussually end up with it all over my fingers and destroying the model with it.
  3. The dynamic poses of some of the new plastic are fantastic, but with just toes or other small surfaces touching the base, they are too small to even pin. Any advice on how to base models like the female Totakage and others like this?
  4. Your blog is very well written. Thanks. Except for Miss Terious, it's all models I don't have. More to pick up I agree with everything you wrote about the new plastics. Not perfect, but they are very nice models.
  5. I received my Thunders boxed set as well as the Ten Thunders archers and Miss Terious. These are the first Wyrd plastics I've picked up and I have to say... The Good: Taken individually, the models are beautiful. Great proportions and detail. Flash and mold lines are almost non existent. In fact other than Miss Sterious, I've seen no mold lines at all. Very impressed with these new sculpts. The Bad: No assembly directions. I've been gaming and modeling for many, many years. While I did get everything together, it was not without some frustration and head scratching trying to figure out which bits went where on which model. Especially with the box set that contained many different models. The Ugly: While I absolutely love Wyrd miniatures (I bought several before Malifaux was ever releleased) I believe Wyrd has always had issues with producing in a consistent scale. I'm not talking about the difference between a tall man and a short man, many figures have been produced noticably smaller or larger than others. The plastics seem to have increased how obvious this is to me. One example is that the torso and head of Ototo are twice the size of the archers & toracage. While I realize that there will always be some variation between models, when it becomes so pronounced, it really takes the joy away from seeing the models on the table as a whole. In fact there are some I would love to own, but won't buy because the scale is so off compared to the rest. I think this really diminishes the quality of Wyrd miniatures as a line for a specific game. What do you think?
  6. Odd. I was just thinking that other than the new store format, the site seems to be lacking updates. It used to be updated much more often. This is the 12th of September and nothing about this month releases. The last update in the news and events section was July.
  7. I realize that it would be illegal for a non-Wyrd entity. I would never do it myself or look for a source other than Wyrd. The Rules Manual is a free PDF or you can buy the book as I have. I was hoping Wyrd had released or posted something that I may just not be aware of
  8. Any chance that there is a PDF that has all of the story from the rulebooks in one spot? I would love to just sit down and read it all the way through without flipping through pages to find the next installment and having to change books.
  9. I use the ManHunter variant from Privateer Press. It's a Khador Solo
  10. My wife bought me the the Von Schill crew box for Christmas. Once I had it open and was pulling out the mini's to take a look at my new crew, imagine my surpise as I pulled out the Miss Pack (Nurse) figure. All the Freikorps that where supposed to be there there where. Miss Pack was extra!!
  11. I'd love to get my hands on a few novels. I love the fluff!!!
  12. Very nice. I can paint well, but they look like crap when I take pictures. I always envy a high class painter that can take quality pics.
  13. Fantastic!! I'd love to see the other two. Can you post links?
  14. I switch the bases on mine. I don't use magnets though. I just make sure that the pin from the base to the foot is a tight fit. Works pretty well. If the fit becomes loose...I put some paint on the pin.
  15. I figured it out. It was too big. Changed it from a bitmap to a jpeg and it worked
  16. I resized the Avatar picture that I want to use so that it was the right size. Below is the message that I got. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? "The Dimension limits for this filetype are 100 x 100. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 100 x 100."
