It appears that I have never made an introduction thread. Oops.
I started playing Malifaux last Septemeber. I run mostly a Seamus crew with The Hanged. I also started up a Gremlin army but I have been as interested in it as the Seamus group.
I recently picked up Puppet Wars and it has been a ton of fun. After checking it out at Gen Con, I was hooked. I love the simplicity that it can offer at the start and the complexity that it offers once you get a better understanding of the puppet abilities.
I play in Indy with three other friends. The group hops around between several miniature games but the main game over the past year has been Warmachine / Hordes. I like the skirmish size of Malifaux compared to the somewhat larger battles in WmH.
Outside of miniatures, I am an amateur photographer, enjoy wine, and work in accounting. I also have a wonderful wife and two crazy dogs.
I think that sums me up.
I haven't had a chance to play Marcus yet. I do like his relationship with stuffed animals (moleman, guild hound, Teddy,Zombie Chihuahua,Silurid, December Acolyte, and Razorspine Rattler.
Wow that is very impressive. I like the wood planks for the work benches. Will you have a marker of somesort to know who controls which workbench? I think that may get confusing at some point.
It's great to hear you are enjoying it so much already. I've really thought about adding the mole to my crew. March him up the board with the Death marshal next to him on the safe side of the impassible terrain. Now he is sitting at 12 defense and 5 combat. Not too shabby. Now think about having the austringer in the mix as well. That could be dangerous for the enemy cast if they happen to be near that mole.
Monticus,
That sounds pretty awesome. I can't wait to see the pictures of what you come up with. Don't forget that my mole can go on impassible terrain. You could probably swap your awesome cork/thimble with a token until the mole gets done.
Does the target puppet have the opportunity to dodge this attack as normal?
I think I played this wrong last time and just flipped a card, replaced it with a 5, and then discarded a crow. Then I tore apart the target model without going through the whole attack phase.
