  1. Fully painted Puppet Wars Unstitched board game. 43 miniature puppets, 2 puppet decks, stat cards for each of the puppets and various counters and tokens. 1 folded hex-tile playing board, 1 rule book. The box has been fitted out with foam for convenient transport and storage of the game. There should be 44 miniatures in this box, but the hooded rider puppet isn't included. UK ebay listing, but ebay GSP available. Link
  2. I won't be able to join in this year <shrug> I'll have fun looking at all the entries though.
  3. Hi All. I picked up Puppet Wars a couple of weeks ago, with the plan of getting it all painted up in time for a couple of games over the hols. Over the last couple of years I've painted about 2 or 3 minuatures. None so far this year. And 44 is probably more than I've painted in the last decade. I know - I'm prolific. So there's my challenge and here are the puppets prepped and primed from last weekend. Some of them were a pain to assemble. (not a great photo, but I guess it doesn't need to be at this stage). Updates as my quest progresses...
  4. From the album: truename's Puppet Wars

All of the puppet wars unstitched puppets prepped and primed. Assembly was a pain in places. Priming with an airbrush was a joy. Some underpainting was applied at this stage.
  5. Looking good. And a laser cutter too. I'm most envious.
  6. Thanks. The miniature is a hasslefree concubine. \aR/
  7. Nice fleurs de lys on the back and the decoration/texturing on the red is great. Top stuff. \aR/
  8. This is inspired by the malifaux doppleganger, so it seems only fair to post it here. I did this a few months back. \aR/
  9. Thanks for the compliment. I don't though - I don't think I'm consistent enough for commissions. There are some great sculpts in the Malifuax range, so there should be some Malifaux paintjobs shortly. \aR/
  10. Thanks all. For Alice, I used a white undercoat and then actually used black and white Vallejo acrylic with a wet blending technique. I can't quite remember if I mixed any grey's on the palette or just blended on the miniature. Largely just on the miniature I think. Using this technique was actually quite quick too - this is one the quickest miniatures I've painted. I used Tamiya Clear Red for the blood, which is _the_ way to go for blood. I just selectively stipled it on. Tamiya paints seem to get tacky quite quick, which helps. On top of that there is a good blood and gore tutorial on the Forum of Doom (the forum for Hasslefree and a few other companies - a place I usually hang out). I just didn't darken the red on mine - it seemed dark enough. \aR/
  11. Love the new one. Thanks for the bamboo tutorial too. \aR/
  12. Thanks. I quite liked the idea of trying a mostly mono mini and that Alice seemed perfect. The great sculpt from Kev at Hasslefree Miniatures hepled. \aR/
  13. Wow, great job for knocking them out so quick. \aR/
  14. Hello All. I haven't picked up any Malifaux miniatures yet, but there are some great sculpts, so I will be. In the mean time, I already have a miniature I can use as a neverborn proxy: Problem Child Alice. An maybe Alyx too: If I go down the neverborn route, that'll give me a good reason to buy that scary teddy... \aR/
  15. That's a Problem Child Alice from Hasslefree Miniatures \aR/
  16. A coupon for the subscription? I've seen coupons for the individual episodes, but I thought they didn't work with the sub (according to MM). Where did you pick up yours?
