  1. I run a shop in the UK and while I have some stuff, for new crews and new copies of the 2nd edition rulebook the message from my supplier, week after week is "delayed again!". I've got people backed up wanting to play this game...but how long before their patience wears out? Cheers Mark
  2. That's a shame. I used minion Hamelin (if only because I liked the model) so now he and Nix sit unused on their 50mm base. Maybe they could put something in Chronicles.... Cheers Mark
  3. Hi all. Just introducing myself and my game store about to open in Wrexham, North Wales in the United Kingdom. All sorts of miniature gaming at the store (with games tables available) but I hope to make Malifaux a regular feature. We should be open by the 25th May...or when the paint dries if sooner. Drop by if you're in the area! Cheers Mark
  4. Just finished painting my last unpainted Malifaux models (some extra Steampunk Arachnids). Now working on a Wagon Marker for the Supply Wagon scenario (as well as finally getting my Space Hulk Genestealers finished). Cheers Mark
  5. Looks awesome but I have to agree with those that have said it's wildly impractical to transport and to use on the gaming table. And how many pieces is it in? And how many will it be in after someone's bumped into the gaming table? I wouldn't want to perch her on uneven terrain. It would be slightly mitigated if the base and LJ herself were metal and the spirits resin... A triumph of style over 'fit for purpose'. Cheers Mark
  6. Last night I used Lady Justice for the first time. Turn 3 she winds up in combat with the Ice Golem and Flips a Black Joker to strike. Turn 4 she flips a Black Joker for damage.... Cheers Mark
  7. Agreed. Wargaming is for having fun with other people. No music here either. Cheers Mark
  8. Last night's (well, night before I guess) "How about when the f****** candy comes out!" had me saying "Too bloody right!" at the screen since we've our own bank bail out issues. Cheers Mark
  9. Good luck for the rally. I've been fan of Jon Stewart for several years now. The Daily Show is broadcast a day later in the UK and Australia and in an era where the exteme stories and the crackpots break the international news barrier it's good to hear a reasonable voice come through. Cheers Mark
  10. I thought the only people who thought card counting was cheating were people who owned casinos. It's just being very good at the game, and are you supposed to forget every card you flipped already? And also, I don't think it would work to well for this game, what with two decks, the Control Hands and the stats of the models. Sausages are best. Perhaps with a mild mustard. Cheers Mark
  11. Same deal with the Brass Arachnid. Tiny bits you can barely hold you're supposed to put together to form a durable wargaming miniature. I think Malifaux is a great game but I wish there was some consideration as to the assembly and use of some of the miniatures. Cheers Mark
  12. I'll be there - looking forward to it! Cheers Mark
  13. I'm a fan of the bases too, using a mix of sewer and streets (and lamp posts to fill out a small model, like totems). My only fear is drilling into my nurses feet for pinning. There's not much room for error! Cheers Mark
