  1. Thank's to all for the comments The owl isn't finished yet. I do have some problems painting it to look as real as possible. I'll paint all the other gremlins first and paint it at the very end I am afraid to give the pig a last wash/ highlight. It is always the last step which destroys the whole paintjob and i am verry afraid of such thing to happen. At the moment i'm painting a piglet and with this little thing i'm going to try out some last steps to let it look better (to repaint a piglet isn't as much frustrating as repainting a whole warpig ). PS: I love the fidler too, and decided to make a whole music group with the next bunch of gremlins. There will be two more musicians, one with the banjo and the other will use the rum cab as some kind of flute :musicus::laugh:
  2. Hi there. I want to show you my first Wyrd-Minis, though these are not my first painted minis A few history about myself: I started to paint wargame miniatures back in 1998 with the new 3rd Edition of Warhammer 40K. Before that i allready painted some revel modelsoldiers (well, because of beeing very young at that time its wrong to call it "painted" it would be better to say: The attempt of using different colours on some kind of 3d surface ^^). But now many years have passed and i earned some experience in using different colours and how to shade for a realistic look. But this shouldn't mean that im perfect. I know that i make many faults and i do not want to be one one the best, i only want to paint the models as i like em, so please dont mistake this point I am not narcissistic And now i want to show you some of the models ,i've allready finished: I love the gremlins. Their style is just marvelous and i love swamps. I feel, that the gremlins (especially Somer Teeth) look like kind of toads. Thats why i tried to paint them like real toads with an oozy green and with big, yellow/black eyes. Somer Teeth is one of my favorite models. I tried to put his background of beeing a wanted bandit, acting like humans and the appearance of his model together and therefore i used the bayou base set to give him a little wanted signpoint leading directly to Malifaux. Another matter, why i like the gremlins is their, well i call it "redneck" style . Thats why i build the following model: And of course i painted big eyes Another fact why i like the gremlins is the movie "gremlins" I love those funny, little comic-like monster-Gremlins. Thats why i painted the following little guy a bit comic-like (look at the iris showing scope ) And next to this i thought it would be time to show the gremlins liability to rum and wine. And the last model to show is the enormous Warpig. I like the mien of the rider very much. So I put the "owl-tree" from the bayou base set next to the face of the gremlin to make a little diorama. It should look as if the rider tries not to fall down, making a very scared face while the owl is looking not really impressede of this. This should be a little funny scene. I hope you enjoy the pictures
  3. Thanks a lot. @gunpowder saint: This is exactly what i wanted to know. Thank you for explaining it to me. One last Question: Due to the fact that Hamelin now can be both, either master or henchmen. Will there be a new Pack of him containing both character statistics? Or will there be a complete new sculpt for the master-version? Regards Yggdrasil
  4. Hi, First of all i have to admit that i'm not owning the new expansion rule book yet, but i've read some interesting stuff about it on this board. I'm dealing with the thought of starting a new Outcast Crew, the human mercenaries, containing: Vikoria(s) Hamelin with a HT1 Model ( Neverborn Terror Tot nephilim) Bishop Hans (due to i like their models) My questions in detail (sorry if they are stupid but im new to Malifaux): #1 I have read that Hamelin will be a Master in the new rulebook. Is there still a way to play him as minion? Or will there be a simmilar character witch I could use instead? I really like the model and it would make me sad if there is no way to use Hamelin with Viktorias as Masters. #2: If there is still a way to play him as henchmen referring to the old rules: The Ability of the Viktorias say that i'm only allowed to hire characters with the "mercenary" rule during scraps (my preferred gaming size). Does this really mean that i could not hire a ht1 model from another crew with Hamelin in the Crew? My plan would be to hire a Neverborn Terror Tot, witch could grew up during the game to a bigger creature. #3: And one last question about the sisters in spirit rule of the Viktorias. Does this mean that i could oush one viktoria from anywhere on the table into 3 inch of the activating one? Or do they have to be in a certain radius to do so? thank you
  5. Ahh, ok now i get it. Sorry that I have totally missunderstood the question, english isn't my mothertongue, so please pardon me @ (real) topic ^^: I agree to Kagelong. Someone who mentions some "new" backround/ rules stuff anywhere on this board could write
  6. Well my english isn't perfect, but i hope you will be able to understand my post: Games Workshop do show the unit's profile, thats right. But they don't show the pointcosts per model, nor do they show the additional wargear the units could be equipped with(eg Options) nor do they show the units specific rules in Detail (Special Rules). In fact, the "customer" could see what the units could effort due to it's profile but he do not know if this unit is worth its point costings or how you could equip it in Detail (Flamers, heavy Guns...). So the only thing given as information is the same as printed at the back of the Warhammer 40K/ Warhammer Fantasy Battles rule book. In Malifaux the whole stats (including all specific rules, the ammount of soulstone you have to pay for the character and all specific Abilities) are noted in fully Detail in the core rulebook. So the "customer" knows everything about a character, there is absolutly no need to state the stats in this forum (or anywhere else) because every player owning a Rulebook of Malifaux knows everything he needs. And beginners don't have no use for that stats ( be it games workshop's stats or Malifauxstats) because without the knowledge of the core rules the beginner isn't able to categorize the information given at the web side.
