  1. Has anyone tried magnetizing rats and using multiple as rat kings, like what people do with antacids and swarms?

That's what I did, as I already owned 12 Rats and I have never put more than 6 on the table in M2E. I just created 2 40mm bases with 3 magnets on each of them, and rebased 6 of the Rats with their own magnets as well. This way I can have from 6 to 12 Rats if needed, and up to 2 Rats Kings, which fits my play style, as I've never needed more than that (I don't usually hire them).

  2. Doppelganger mimics sewn fate onto a second enemy model. Then do all of the above on two enemy models at once...

The Ganger can't Mímic Hem, as it names the Voodoo Doll itself on its description.

  3. Wow, I had my very first three M2E Zoraida games yesterday, and that one was the very first combination I saw after reading the cards, it looked really obvious!

This allowed me to kill Sammy Lacroix on the 3rd turn of the first game, but only because my opponent forgot he could have just Interacted with the lot of Gremlins that were around him to get rid of Sammy's Burning. It did not happen twice. Anyway, there is always the option of killing the Voodoo Doll before Iggy or any other pyromaniac gets the chance to put the Doll on fire, or at least engage it do Iggy can't Ignite it from far.

It is a good combo, but that's it, when your opponent realizes there is the chance of suffering it, it is a lot harder to make it work, and anyway, it is usually even easier to just Paralyze Hem's target which is usually better, because in he end, the Burning thing takes a lot of time to hurt the target and your opponent can usually find out how to minimize it.

On the third game I even stopped working for it, but it is still a great tactic to use from time to time.

  4. I have used him a good number of times, as I use to play Hamelin with a Crew full of Lost children,a theme I just to love to play... But, lately I just field him on very "snacks and giggles" games. His performance has always felt poor to me, specially offensively.

He looks to have great sinergy with Candy more than anyone else, but I could never make their tándem work. Of course, it could be me, so I will keep fielding him from time to time... At least he is not expensive at 5 stones.

  5. Thanks all!

@Viruk: I've tried Papa Loco several times with Jack, but he keeps blowing down half my Crew in every game so far!

@Grim: Yeah, Jack's burned tree is scratch made... and yeah, I just hope Jack's is the Nightmare Crew this next GenCon as well!

@Hateful Darkblack: Sorry I didn't take a close up of her, it can be seen on the top right in the first picture, but as a Guilty I'm using this one:

  6. Hello there!

I thought it would be nice to share my Tormented Crew with you all. So far it has given me great times playing it, and I both love the theme and the models I had to proxy for it, although I cannot wait to buy the official models once they show up!

    Well, here they are!

Daw is the official one from first edition, and I painted it several years ago, as well as the Hangeds.

Montresor is the Carver, the limited edition model Wyrd sold last year.

Lady Ligeia is "Nocturna, Princess of Night" from http://www.nocturnamodels.com, an antonishing model, although I didn't make her any justice with my painting... well, after all, injustice is the theme for the Crew, isn't it? ;)

    Hope you like them!

  7. Rules Manual, pg. 32, Activation Phase:

"When it is a player's Activation she must choose and Activate a model in her Crew that has not yet Activated this Turn. A model may only Activate once per Turn unless it has the Reactivate Condition, or another special rule."

It looks like we're minority here, but in my play group we have always understood and played like Reactivating models can only be Activated for the second time on a Turn after all other models on its Crew have been Activated. Is it wrong?

Looking at the rules are written, I can't see why one Reactivating model should ignore that restriction... Unless there is anything I'm missing!

    (1) Raptor (Sh 7 / Rst: Df / 12): Target suffers 1/3/4 damage. This Action does not require LoS to the target and ignores cover. When this Attack Action gains the benefits of the Focus Condition, increase its range to (ranged)18

So, after having played tons of games against them, my Guild friend the other day found out that Raptor's Attack Action got no (ranged) icon unless it is Focused.

We are still playing them likeit is still a Proyectile Attack all the time, as we cannot truly believe they can freely shoot into engagements without risk of hitting friendlies as long as it fires within 12" and not Focusing. Not only that, without the ranged icon, The Austringer can even shoot his Raptor while engaged himself!

If Raptor is not a Proyectile Attack, then it does not even need its ignore cover rule as well, and by being able to shoot it even while engaged, Austringer does not really need his (1) Quick Retreat Action.

We can only believe the ranged icon magically dissapeared on the printer, and noone has ever noticed it since then, because Raptor has always been borderline broken on a minion of its cost, but ignoring all the Proyectile Attack restrictions would be just too much.

So tell me, is Raptor just somehow missing its Ranged icon, so it should be Errataed, or does it really work that way?

  9. If you keep going with Taka, I would just put both models on the same 50mm base, as there should be plenty of room for them (Taka in front of the Wrath). The Wrath should personiphize (sp?) the pain and danger one runs into get coming close to Montresor.

Still, Montresor is Ht 2, so Taka alone may be just too small for him.

My take on Montresor's proxying is Wyrd's exceptional Special Edition Carver B)
