  1. A very important question comes right here! Can I combine the blood counters of two Nephilims to mature them? After reading the errata, I think the answer is YES, but I would appreciate a solid confirmation . By the way, I apologize for my confussion. I read the Querub's profile wrong! It is true it is a useful addition to a Lilith's crew. But the matter is this: Lilith is really good improving her Control Hand with her special rule Rush of Magic. So, one of the most useful Totems for her could be Primordial Magic, which can help her to have an even BETTER hand than the opponent. What do you think?
  2. Well, the main problem of the Querub is his lower Ca. This force you to keep a high card (and the suit needed) to cast the Illusionary Forest. You can do it, but it is hard and it cost a good card. I have only checked the Querub, but in my opinion, the best use for this winged creature is casting Love when Lilith and their children are in CQC. However, I have serious doubts about the Querub. I have to play with him, definitely. On the other hand, I have found the explanation about the Nephs very useful Q'iq'el. Actually, I have been comparing the Young Nephs' profiles against other factions' fighters. And, well, it is true: they are pretty solid. -Lilith -Young Neph (x 2) -Mature (x 1) SS- 22/25 SS pool- 7 What do you think about it? Oh, and some nasty questions for some dirty tricks! 1) Transposition, after the Errata, says something like target two models, then switch their possitions. The question is about the spell's range. It is 12 inches. My doubt is: Could Lilith point an enemy 12 inches at North and switch possition with an ally 12 inches at South? And, if it is yes, how much Wp flips are required? 2) Has Earthquake a trick or something? I think it is the worst Lilith's ability. 3) What do you think about this: -I have a Terror Tot separated by 2 inches of a Mature Neph. -It is my turn. I activate Lilith and her Mature as a companion (She is at 6'' of the other Nephs). -Ok, here we go: I have a really good card with the Mask suit ready to cast Transposition. I have enough soulstones to increase the flip, by the way. So, I decide to "bring" my foe to the kitchen. -I move Lilith 6'' ahead and cast successfully Transposition over, f.i., the enemy Master. I switch his possition with my Terror Tot, which is at range. Now I can fall back with Lilith (avoiding nasty ranged attacks) and my Mature Neph is ready for a boxing exhibition with (he!) 3 attacks at range of 2''! What do you think about this?
  3. Well, with Lilith's starter box, a blister of Young Nephs and the Querubin, this is my army for the match I have this saturday: -Lilith, Mother of Monsters. -Terror Tots x3 (9 SS) -Mature Neph (10 SS) -Querubin (2 SS). I have 8 SS in the pool. I know Lilith burns SS. But I also know this list has not punch enough. I am thinking about some changes: -Lilith. -Terror Tots x2 (6 SS). -Young Neph (6 SS). -Mature Neph (10 SS). -Querubin (2 SS). This way, however, I only have a 5 SS pool... Is this pool very poor for Lilith? Strategies and tips are welcome!
  4. Well, Seamus and Leveticus are, imho, two of the best Masters in the game. Seamus is a really nasty guy and Leveticus, if he is used properly, seems to be a headache. I hope I will be able to test Lilith's crew this saturday. In fact, I have thought several battle plans. My friends are choosing their army at this time, but I think they are going to play Resurreccionists, so I suppouse Seamus has real options to be the next enemy of my beloved Lilith. I will share with you who are going to be my enemies really soon. Meanwhile... How do I beat Seamus or Leveticus? Does anyone have a good plan?
  5. I haven't seen Pandora's profile yet. However, I have seen Lady J and she is a truly melee monster. Though, I think that, in an hipotetically match againts the blind female, Lilith has some advantages: -The Nephs are one of the fastest crew by themselves (Pandora seems to be the fastest of the game, isn't she?). So, you are more able to choose when you want to charge and which enemy is going to be crushed. -With a smart use of the covers and Lilith's tricks, Death Marshalls are going to suffer to get a clear shot. This could be the key to maintain a balanced fight when you get them! -It is true that Nephs are a CQC based crew. And it is also true that Lady J can erase Lilith. But Lilith can also kick Lady J's awesome butt if she charges the blind swordmistress first. Actually, Lady J's defense is not impressive at all! It is just a charge order matter. And Lilith is faster than Lady J. However, I agree Lady J is maybe the Guild's most menacing character against Lilith. But I will tell you a secret... I play both of them . My friends prefer others Masters. On the other hand, I have been watching the grass-dogs profile and they are a good reinforce for Lilith's crew, indeed. However, I think they are better in larger matchs, mainly because they are expensive. Two of them get 12 SS!
  6. I am pretty happy with your answers. Actually, when I have read in the rulebook that Lilith is also a Nephilim... Whoa! These are definitely good news! I have some strategies in mind with her, but I still have some questions. Here I come! 4) (I am completing the list ) Who are the worst Lilith's enemies? In the book, reading the Malifaux background, it is obvious that the Guild is looking for her. In addition, Perdita and The Ortegas seem to be the Neverborn Hunters of the Guild. In game terms is this fact true? 5) I am really interested in one of your suggestions: Using the Doppelganger with Lilith can be interesting. I am thinking in duplicate the "imaginary forest". It could be a real pain to shooting crews, like the Ortegas . And combined with the diving charge of the Mature Nephilim... God, what a mess! 6) The Lilith's rule: Master of Malifaux. At the beginning I thought it was a total "OVERPOWERED" rule. You have to learn how to use it, it is true, but damn it, this girl is able to cross the battlefield like (Spanish expression ON) Peter at home (Spanish expression OFF). If you prefer, like Christopher Lambert in The Inmortals . However, I read the errata yesterday and the rule has changed quite a bit. My question about it is really simple: Is it enough to let Lilith charge through her own imaginary forest? If it is, it is very possible that I buy Lilith's starter this afternoon . Damn, I am going to buy it anyway! !
  7. Hi all! The thing is I am thinking buying the Lilith starter mainly because Lilith's miniature is awesome and her profile can be summed up with the word "POWERHOUSE". However, I have some questions about her and the Nephilims: 1) How to use her properly? Some tactica here will be appreciated . 2) Why does she need blood if, apparently, she does not use it?! This is mainly a rules questions I can't understand. I am starting to think it is an errata. 3) How much Nephilims do you use in the crew? Is it better to take small Nephs and start growing them into Mature ones? Thank you all!
  8. Indeed. It is pretty obvious that the rider of the Wyrd page is the "hooded rider". Actually, that's why I mentioned the snakes that "shake" the hair of the horse . In the book there is no illustration of this miniature. At least, I have not seen it yet. I have been reading the Neverborn minions after having lunch and, honestly, I can't find a connection between the rider and the Neverborn Masters. However, I am not worried about this because the profile of the horseman seems to be quite independent. What do you think about him? Have you use him anytime with a proxy? My first impressions about him are concise: Heavy hitter virtually inmune to ranged attacks. Pretty versatile. Really good maneuverability (God, what a word! ). I think it would be a good fellow for Lilith's crew. Damn, I want him for my Lilith's crew!!!
  9. That is the point. The hooded rider is in the rulebook and he has not seem to have special rules for riding a grim horse with snakes in the head . In fact, I think almost every model in the book has his miniature in the gallery. There are a few exceptions, of course. Like the rider. I think the rider would be a fantastic release. Maybe the miniature is sculpted and finished, but Wyrd is waiting the GenCon 2010 to astonish us with him... It is just a possibility. In any case, thank you for the fast replies. I play Guild now, but Lilith has caught my eye and I will buy some Neverborns sooner or later.
  10. Greetings! I am a new fresh-faced guy in this game. Well, I have gathered some info about it and I am planning to spread the word of Malifaux all over my region . Oh, by the way, I am from Spain. Said that, I was reading the rulebook when I saw the magical words: "The hooded rider". I have checked the store but there is no hooded tough guy anywhere... at least, not yet. Does somebody know something about this model? I will appreaciate any kind of info. Thank you so much!
