  1. Ramos is generally not played as he is a dead mans hand master. Due to the hiring change this edition, rasputina lists largely contain her thematic models, although you probably want to look to get kaltgiests ( which are in the box with her title alternative) as they act as mobile ice pillars.
  2. Vivid nightmares was added to the card as an errata because lucid dreams was too good without some form of control added to it. So it is intended to reduce the power of lucid dreams Lucid dreams will still improve your deck composition throughout the game, but now at a much lower level than was possible before. So the main use of Vivid nightmares is to stop your opponent quitting in disgust because you have a deck that only contains severe cards...
  3. It doesn't have a game purpose. It's intended for Parsons base as set dressing, but if you wanted to put it on its own base and use it as a scheme marker you certainly could.
  4. I think they do different things, so its not a case that you can build a list and just choose between them. Personally I prefer workers champion over rage machine, but kang then really needs your crew in a certain area, and with a supply of scrap. It also gives some activation order considerations. With the new GG out, it might be a case that the pound to dust on the pork chop is very useful because there seems to be more scheme markers out there ( although will need to see how it actually turns out). I probably am more likely to run gamin with Kang, both for more scrap, and the chance for increased mobility. ( the pork chop does also like more mobility, but has some more tricks self built in).
  5. The faq does say that strategy markers can be chosen for schemes, so it is allowed, but it does make it a free point, so I'd probably suggest in the specific load em up and crushing candy scenario to agree to nort allow them.
  6. Wyrd does a very basic over view on their web page for each master, Lady Justice — Wyrd Games (wyrd-games.net) is the Lady Justice one for example. It gets complicated to go much more detailed than that, as crew composition can be very varied, which may change a lot of the "basic info". People have tried before, but I can't remember any that have got as far as comments on all the masters. It is quite a lot of work, and has limited use
  7. I'm pretty sure that's the M2e plastic sprue with a new box. So probably just to be able to sell already made stock. Of course no one knows what the future holds, but I'm not upset if we never see collodi again, I found every iteration I've faced to be boring to play, and generally to easy to be powerful. It may return, but it also may never be seen again, and I would only buy it on the understanding that it isn't supported by the company and may well not exist when a new edition happens.
  8. In general I'd say hinamatsu is going to be a better choice than teddy with collodi, but I can see circumstances where you might prefer the bear, or even might want both. ( 10 attacks a turn is unlikely to happen, but its fun when it does. 😲)
  9. I can't see much synergy when I look at the cards. Neither really do much construct related. That said I generally don't see teddy needing much in the way of support so he isn't a bad choice in a puppet list if you want a big hitter. I don't think many people use collodi, so it may be that no-one actually knows if teddy works well, but I don't think he's a bad choice to try.
  10. it's just counted as a blast for the section "all models, apart from the original target, that are in base contact with one or more take damage that is 1 segment lower than the category of damage flip against the original target. " If you are in base contact of the scheme you suffer the blast effect. I think that the way it is written you get the reformed healing from the removal of the marker.
  11. One thing I would add is that Hazardous will occur for one of 3 reasons You make a move that at some point you are in base contact with the hazardous terrain You resolve an action that you were in base contact with hazardous terrain at some point during the resolution A marker with the hazardous trait is moved into base contact with you. So resolving a defense trigger in itself isn't one of the reasons, but because the trigger moves the gearling it will. If your defensive trigger instead was "good shot my turn" which just does damage to the attacker you wouldn't suffer hazardous effects. Resolving an action means you are either doing one of the general actions ( Walk, Charge, Disengage, Interact, Slam or Assist) or one of the things on the back of your card. Doing something from the front of your card doesn't count as an action
  12. The main use of it is probably to let Yan lo obey the model holding the Reliquary, but he can also attack a nearby model. It is also allowing yan lo an out of activation obey, so it sort of bypasses the once per activation limit on the target of obey ( in that he can target a model that ge also targets in his activation since the 2 obeys would very in different activations).
  13. Yes. and will add additional rules/requirements to the attack, but the normal attack rules will apply to all 3 attacks.
  14. You have misunderstood dense. It allows you to draw sight into it, or out of it, but not through it. Thus means as long as the line if sight you are drawing does not both enter and exit the dense terrain it isn't blocked. Edit- oh I think I understand what you are asking now. If you are standing in a dust cloud are you still standing in a forest, abd the answer is yes. Adding a marker or aura to an area does not remove the traits that area already had. Jakuuna drowning Aura would not remove the severe traits from the terrain she was walking through, it would still be severe as well ad hazardous.
  15. I assume that the trigger effectively turns in into the following action This model is placed completely within 5". This move can not be used to leave the engagement range of models engaging this model. as that is replacing the move with the place, which is what the trigger states. It is still a walk action regardless, which will matter if you're facing Lethes Caress or similar.
  16. I read that as it attaches the same upgrade to the new model, not that it attaches a copy of the upgrade to a new model.
  17. Yes that is once per activation, so when a new model activates it can happen again. If you have 5 models in a turn then it can happen up to 5 times.
  18. No he doesn't gain the benefits because the aura specifies only other friendly pigs get the suit. He is in the aura, but he doesn't meet the criteria for it to apply to him. Just like if an auras said enemy models treat this as hazardous, the originator won't treat it as hazardous as they aren't an enemy even though they are in the aura.
  19. Yes, fleet of foot allows you to move during a charge rather than just push in a straight line. If you Obey a model to charge, then the push is generated by the charge not by the obey. So even an enemy model obeying a mercenary would get to move by fleet of foot rather than push.
  20. I can't see a rules reason why it couldn't, but it does seem an unexpected outcome of the errata to relenting.
  21. If the formation happens during the activation of one of the rats that is being replaced, then the activation continues, with the new model counting any action taken by the replaced model as part of its activation. If it happens outside of a replaced models activation then it depends. Had any of the rats activated before the formation or not? If not, then yes, but if any of them had activated, then no., it doesn't get to activate this turn. (page 33 step 7)
  22. That's a different case, in that the upgrades are moving to a model that can't have the upgrades attached already, so it will never matter which order it happens in (and also the fact that the original model is leaving play does change the decision space to make it not matter). Although, answering this did lead to a revelation (see below) As I read it, if McCabe tried to attach a timeworn blade to Sidir whilst he already held a timeworn blade, the second blade would be discarded and neither would gain shielded. This does make me realize at no time would McCabe attach a second copy if he targeted himself, so it is never going to fall foul of this rule. (this always attaches the same copy of the upgrade).
  23. This works if you are able to detach the upgrade before you check the validity of the target gaining the upgrade, but doesn't work if you check the validity of the target getting the upgrade before you detach the upgrade. I honestly don't know the answer, I don't think its specified anywhere. A similar question would be could you use treasure hunter to discard an upgrade from McCabe by targeting a model that already had that upgrade attached?
  24. You've had a bit of bad luck there. There are probably less than 20 keywords that are minimally affected by Undergrowth, and you have 4 or 5 of those in your store. This means that you are in a meta where fae is going to seem less powered than it is in a wider environment. That is tough, but wyrd changing the keyword to boost you facing those crews may well result in it being overpowered vs all those crews that do suffer severe terrain. (For the first couple of years Fae was considered one of the better crews in the game, and had many calls for it to be nerfed). Summoning is not that common an ability. All factions can do it, but its normally restricted to only 1 or 2 keywords in that faction (although its becoming more available as there are more releases). Its one of those things that can seem hard to face, but at the end of the day it often isn't as powerful as it seems to be. If you are facing a summoner you do need to consider that dead isn't always the end of a problem, but otherwise you just need to plan a solution to the problem. I don't think the game is perfectly balanced, and infact I don't think there is a way to perfectly balance it due to the nature of the crew selection and the ways to earn VPs. Part of the balance is in certain crews being better in some match ups than others and you are expected to make the most of what you own to hire the best crew for the "mission". This is something that does mean that sometimes your best bet isn't to start off by buying 1 full keyword, but rather buying part of it and then looking around for ways to fill the gaps, which isn't always something that each keyword can do, but almost always there is some way in faction that can help. Bulting can create underbrush markers near to each other using their homeward bound action, granted they can't touch, but they can be 1mm apart, which in almost all cases is as good or better than actually touching. (I can't think of any advantage you would get by the markers touching that you don't have with them just being 1mm apart, but there might be one) (as can Titania, Autumn queen in the start phase) On the whole I see underbrush markers to slow enemy movement (although in most of your games that won't work) and to boost crew abilities ( through the brush and tangling roots for example) and to get the power of the into thorns trigger, which is a pretty powerful effect, but doesn't need the markers near each other.
  25. The unbury of pine box is more a case if when X does something, then do something to X. I don't see that as an effect on the death marshal anymore. The alignment doesn't matter any more. Yes the death marshal does the unbury, but that isn't relevant to the ordering as I see it.
