  1. I pin everything. I'm super careful about my minis. I take a lot of time assembling so I don't have to repair as much. So, GreenStuff is a must for me too so any gaps are filled.
  2. Nice start. I appreciate the step by step as I haven't bought this set yet and hearing the flaws helps me get ready for them. So, thanks for tat. I'll look forward to watching this thread.
  3. Nice models. I love the perdita the best though. sexy jeans.
  4. The instructions above are good. The only thing I'd add are once your mold has cured, you press another blob into the mold and remove it before it cures. If you have a cured mold and a cured casting together of the same material, you're going to have a good chance of destroying one or the other when you remove the casting.
  5. I don't know that I'd call it the weakest. It just has a finesse to it. If you get it, it's strong. If you don't...well it's not so strong. but, still fun to figure out . The above suggestions are strong. VooDoo is a must. JuJu is difficult. But, for certain scenarios, he's awesome.
  6. That's a good answer and the texture should be pretty good from the gate. Could maybe even just wash and go without priming.
  7. Um those are out already. I downloaded them yesterday. But, they've been around for a while I think.
  8. Actually it was plastic rod. But, otherwise spot on.
  9. If you want the figure to look like it's glowing, no lamp. You would just do source lighting on the base with the character as the light source and then use the glowing effect described by Magius on the character if you really want to punch the idea home. If you want the figure to be reflecting or be lit by light from another source, then the lamp on the base is a good idea or you could just pick an outside point off the model somewhere to put an imaginary torch or gaslight or the moon and paint the source lighting coming from that direction. Source lighting is a full tutorial in itself and there are plenty of guides out there. So, I won't go into more detail than that.
  10. Sad that I can't see all the new goodies in person. Glad that the money I would have spent on admission and hotel and gas can now be used on the goodies.
  11. mmmmm. cookies. I have to admit. I'm of the same mind regarding authority figures. Warhammer 40K.....every set came with space marines. Would I ever assemble and paint one....hell no. Warhammer Fantasy....Empire? Brettonia? I don't think so. but, my dislike goes even further. When I play games, I am escaping reality. In reality, I am human. So, I tend to be drawn to anything that is not human. So, Neverborn for me. However, I do love the sculpts for the Guild. So, I have them. I even have played a few games with them. But, they are not my favorite. They also seem very "one trick pony" to me. That may just be my inexperience. But, so far, that's how I see it. I like more tricks to my crews. So, I agree. but, not to the point of complete exclusion. Just.....when I get stuck in a rut will I play them.
  12. Holy carp! Those are excellent! I love the conversinos and the shirt and jacket...you sculpted those on? Nice work my friend. That's a bad-ass start to a bad-ass crew.
  13. Like him a lot. Looking forward to the crew. MAn I gotta get some time to paint.
  14. That would be awesome. Thanks much. I'll look forward to it. Nice set from the pic.
  15. Also Version 2 cards will be available soon. From wht I understand, you may wish to contact them then as you'll most likely want to trade in your Version 1 cards for shinny version 2. But, as said above. Gen Con unfortunately trumps all. I'd expect an answer tuesday.
  16. You're right. The stores could contact Wyrd or the Henchmen could do it. Not sure why it hasn't been approached. However, with Wyrd being at GenCon, I wouldn't expect a response until Monday or tuesday.
  17. That's a nice looking table. The framing is (as stated above) nicely done. The terrain pieces look like a good start. I look forward to seeing the completed table with terrain.
  18. That's my question. Anyone seen it in person?
  19. Agreed. The minis look good. The camera is fine. Two pointers: 1) more lighting with a daylight bulb is best. 2) white background ( a piece of paper) and then white balance the pic will make your minis pop.
  20. The distributors will know what stores are ordering Wyrd. I would assume most stores use a distributributor. I'm not sure if Wyrd supplies stores directly. Distribution is a sticky Wicket. As a producer, you want to sell a large number of your widgets to a single source to make shipping easier. So, distributors are that means. The few companies that are direct sale to stores usually require a huge order and won't do piecemeal things like distributors are able to. So, I'm assuming Wyrd only distributes to distributors (which makes sense for them). The distributors most likely don't provide Wyrd with each individual store that orders their product. So, that would explain why the "Where to buy Wyrd" only shows distributors.
  21. Gen Con isn't till Thursday. I know setup is tomorrow and probably they are there early. But, I also support your efforts.
  22. Now that's some good advice. I learn a lot more about my figs when I play against them and vice versa. I tend to get into a way of thinking about things and need to take a different perspective if I'm having issues with something.
  23. Nice. Are you using foam core fro teh walls and such?
  24. Hey Eric, Great job so far. Looking forward to the finished product. I was wondering. Does the model come with base insert? Or is that one of the victorian base inserts?
  25. I'd be interested in helping with demong and playing in the tourney
