  1. I have recently purchased Hamelin's box set, and so have been getting familiar with rats, rat catchers, etc. By my estimation, with some luck and a small initial up-front cost, the Avator of Entropy (Leveticus) can make infinite soulstones. I have a suggestion on how to fix this (at the end of this post). Comment if you think that I have missed something. Let's say you buy 6 stolen to go with Leveticus and pay for his avatar. Initial cost: 23ss. Sacrifice the stolen to get some rats. Sacrifice 3 rats to get a rat catcher. Let's then say that you are lucky, and by round two you are able to manifest the Avatar of Entropy for (All). By this means that by round three you can cast Drain Souls to get a soulstone each time a living model is killed in range. The rats are living. Now you see where I am going with this. Rats can die an infinite number of times (with a lot of luck). The rat catchers can assist with this, of course. Requirements for infinite rat deaths: rat catcher or Hamelin and 3 rats. Steps to infinite rat deaths: 1) Rat catcher or Hamelin in range. 2) Rat A (0) action pushes into B2B with Rat B for 1 Wd. 3) Rat C (0) action pushes into B2B with Rat A for 1 Wd. 4) Rat C (1) action bites Rat A. You can use (0) Impetuous to improve the chances here. This creates a new rat A. If the Avatar of Entropy is in range, this will also give you a soulstone. 5) Rat B (0) action pushes into B2B with Rat C for 1 Wd. 6) Rat B (1) action bites Rat B. 7) Repeat forever and Profit! You can also get infinite rat deaths from hazardous terrain without having to cycle your whole deck a multitude of times. Hamelin's avatar can also add to this reaction. Of course, you need to get lucky enough to fail the resist duel each time. However, Hamelin, the Avatar of Entopy, and Rusty Alyce are great at boosting your control hand. AND the rat catchers can always restart this reaction if it happens to fizzle. So in summary for a minimum 23ss (and some great luck, which you can manufacture) you can get infinite soulstones. My suggestion to the Wyrd team: change voracious rats to the following. (This suggested change would also fix some other problems related to Hamelin, of which others have complained.) Suggested (paraphrased) new wording for voracious rats: each time a model is killed within range of this model summon a malifaux rat into B2B with it. The killed model does not generate counters of any kind and no other models may be summoned as a result of its death. Rats summoned in this way are paralyzed. To the Wyrd team: please fix this asap, since I am anxious to play Hamelin and Leveticus, and I refuse to be so evil to my opponents. Credit to DireHoarcat, the Wyrd henchman for Tucson for helping me to discover this.
