  1. I'd just like to thank all of the people that posted in such a timely manner. I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out.
  2. Peacekeeper all the way. My friend plays hoffman and loves that thing. I'm glad I got it for him. Despite the fact that it keeps chasing me down.
  3. Generally I buy Wyrd's base inserts because I'm not a particularly good sculptor. What you could do that I tried for my Pandora crew is take a base insert and paint it bright pastel colors to get an other worldly feel, but if its the actual shape of the base then you'll likely end up either sculpting your own or buying from another maker.
  4. Excellent job. I like the colors you picked for your show people. The reds and whites give it a very old fashioned theater feel. Break a leg.
  5. Seamus was my first master. I mean who can say no to zombie hookers? Though I don't run him much as I vastly prefer to play with Zoraida. However, here's my two cents. I generally will start out with two belles, since my third one's arm keeps breaking off and needs to be pinned and I haven't gotten around to it. I never really have to use more than three. But depending upon the objective I guess more are nice to have. I also recently bought some crooked men and am looking forward to trying them out. One model I really, really would suggest playing with is night terrors...when they come out. Not many models have a range hosing ability so that just makes those guys stand out to me. Plus they're 3 SS apiece. And they're significant.
  6. And the Necrotic Machine, but that comes attached. I'd pretty much only run Molly with Seamus so I don't care much about horrors. Though I did notice a definite lack of them.
  7. I'm a bit of a stranger to The Dreamer, but I do run Pandora whenever I'm feeling cruel, and I do have a friend that runs the Dreamer. Most of my suggestions on running Pandora have already been said. From looking at your list I notice that you seem to have a lot of models that want to go first. Since Woes kind of need to go first or close to it in activation order. (Thanks to Pacify/Incite) So be sure to keep in mind that you'll lose a lot of control power later in the activation round. One thing I learned from running pandora is to never forget the power of the Mental anguish trigger (MAsks and crows on Ca) It can really turn the tide if your opponent decides to rush you. Make your opponents heavy hitter run for cover and the rest likely will as well. One more thing is to use project emotions often as it can screw up tightly packed crews very easily. Be sure to field a totem as well. Both of pandora's choices. Are great models for channeling her abilities. I chose the Primordial magic because I cheat often and so I like having the extra card. Plus I like its Ca of five. The highest of any totem available to any master. I'm pretty sure on that. Correct me please if I'm wrong. Now, the dreamer. My suggestion is to field exclusively nightmares. I know that Candy and Kade are both good models in their own right, but when combined with the dreamer nightmares are much better off. Stitched Togethers are always a good idea as their gamble your life ability is very powerful if you play your cards right. That said; the bulk of your crew will likely be determined by how your opponent plays. If he spreads his models out into groups of one or two with 5-6" between them you'll want to run some of the bigger nightmares like Teddies, Lelu and Lilitu, as they can easily demolish isolated models. If he/she runs their crew more closely together. Having the dreamer pack a couple alps, Coppelius and some Stitched Togethers is likely going to be your best bet. As Alps will suffocate groups of weaker models that are close together; plus Coppelius can make more of them for a single eye counter. The Stitched together are there for some meat and hitting ability. There's my advice. Though be sure to come up with your own strategies too.
  8. I have a friend who plays Rasputina and really wants a pair of Silent Ones. It will be his birthday in a couple weeks so I thought I'd get him some, since he gave me a pair of Stitched Togethers that I badly need to start painting. Unfortunately my FLGS hasn't been ordering the latest couple waves of malifaux minis and so doesn't have them in stock. The owner offered to special order some just for me, but said that it might take up to a week and a half to get them here in Vermont. However, I am traveling down to Boston area one Monday to stay for a couple days visiting colleges. Now here's where I pose my question. Are there any gaming stores in or around boston that stock malifaux, and are likely to have some silent ones in stock. A short list of names will suffice. Thank you to any who respond.
  9. Do your models happen to support breast cancer research? I like what you did with your teddy, I've done something similar. Except I made him blue with a pink heart. I should start posting my painted models again.
  10. Shet, Lord Chompy Bits is huge. Nice work on the Teddies too. I'd keep the proxies they're a nice take on the daydreams.
  11. Hehe, I liked your take on having her as Delirium. Please promise me that if you ever paint Zoraida you'll make hey look like Despair.
  12. I've determined that Pandora is going to be the next fig that I purchase, since I already have Candy and Kade. I've been meaning to purchase a clamshell o' Sorrows too but just haven't had the funds. But, any way. Which totem should I choose. The Poltergeist is great when you need to give Pandy a distraction to get away or hurl various breeds of paranoid schizophrenia at enemies. Plus its mass pacify and tantrum both incur Wp duels, for all models within its radii. However its only rocking a four Ca, which pales in comparison to the PMs 5(Mask,Tome) and ability that gives you an additional card. So which should I go with?
  13. Kirai is what we would call the Squishy Wizard. She preforms amazingly well when she isn't attacked directly and if you summon Ikiryo correctly and can churn out spirits whilst keeping Kirai relatively healty you should be fine. Though you want to watch out for direct bashing crews like Lilith's. Keep in mind that if things get dicey, Kirai can haul ass across the map with "In the Spirit World." She can also do this to lend healing and support to her spirit friends. Though, you do want to look out for Masters that have a lot of offensive spells since those cut through spirits' damage reduction. So Rasputina and Sonnia you want to be careful around. Along with Pandora. Lord Compy Bits. (love that name.) Is especially dangerous to Kirai herself since he ignores Pitiful/Harmless. And he actually gets bonuses against models that have those abilities. So if you see Him or the Dreamer trying to get friendly and close. Run.
  14. My take on The Philosophy is that it's likely a one shot weapon that you use when you know for certain the Molly is going to die horribly. Might as well take a hopefully valuable target down and die on your own terms neh? I'm pretty sure that Molly is a far better buffer than she is kamikaze anyway. Allowing your belles to go even faster.
  15. I too am tempted by the Doll Special forces. I've always been a big fan of Zoraida, but I've been kind of miffed that she didn't really jibe with many of the first set's NB models. Thankfully Rising Powers fixed that. (Sorta) I'm looking forward to running Collodi and stitched togethers. I only got the opportunity to look at the new book for a few minutes at a friend's house. I've found that Collodi, and his friends would be excellent at tarpitting enemies due to their tangled in strings trigger.
  16. I know this, that's why I posted "move into charge range behind cover." The forest can be moved by Lilith at any time during her activation can it not?
  17. Off topic I know, but has anyone noticed that the Ortegas are named after a taco brand? http://ozbo.com/images/T/00820CF.JPG
  18. The eyes! The eyes!!! Well, you succeeded in making her look really creepy, if that's what you were going for. Though her flesh looks a little too...florid actually
  19. Hmm...For some reason I saw that she had more than a passing resemblance to Slash than anyone else, maybe its just the top hat.
  20. Despite how over-complicated most players make it out to be, playing Lilith comes down to a simple formula: 1.Move into charge range from behind Cover (Illusionary forest.) 2. Charge 3. Smash, Face. 4. Retreat if you will be within range of any spells or ranged attacks during your opponents activation, or repeat #3 if more models are within range. 5. Use blood counters acquired to make your Nephilim bigger if possible. Q was correct in that Blood from stone is not a good idea early on.
  21. Ok, I have my Silurids done as well. These were fiinished before Bete by the way. Oh, and I named them all too; their names are: Harold, Bertrand and Winnifred; because even frog people that lie in a swamp are allowed to have dignified names. Ok, picture time! Bertrand: I did a lot of coats on ol' Bert' here, and he started to look really glossy; as if he were made of plastic. So I decided to do a dark brown-green wash to try and dull it down a bit, and I think it worked. Harold: Harold was painted by Raspy-playing friend, but its part of my army so I decided to go and upload him anyway. Winnifred: I think she came out looking the best of the three. I decided to go with p!nk stripes to go with the light green that her skin/flesh came out as. In other news, I recently found the one, single spot in my entire house that actually has decent lighting.
  22. It does help actually. Thank you for the feedback. I used that in my painting of Bete Noire (I have a Resser army as well.) It looks much better than my first paint job on it. My one mistake was forgetting to use the same hue on the high lights. (I had this awesome red-brown that looked like dried blood) But, Bete Chocolat looks nice too, oh and there's some spots on her that need to be painted over. I didn't actually spot them until now ^^;
