  5. Sorry for the vagueness of the How to pics. I'm working on a much better version with step by step stuff and I'll post it over at a good buddies site with a link. http://www.gamedecor.com/abasworld/index.htm
  6. biggest piece of advice i can give for painting anything, and it's something i have to tell myself constantly, is slow down. I'm bad about trying to do it too fast and i always make a mess of it when i do. find your pace and keep it, speed comes form doing it over and over.
  7. Every good gardener knows that a well maintained set of tools is essential to a well tended garden.
  8. Thanks for the comments guys. The bamboo was fun to make. I wanted her to have the garden feel and I plan on using that theme as I go through the box. I'm thinking a couple paper lanterns or a bonsai tree and a Koi pond. If anyone is interested how I made the bamboo stalks I'm happy to share.
  9. Howdy this is the start of my box for Spirits of Vengeance. I really dig the colors on the box but left out alot of gore. comments always welcome. Here is the How to for the bamboo shoots I did. enjoy.
  10. Good job with the Hirst Arts stuff. I've been using them for years now and they make all sorts of great stuff.
  11. My watch Parts are not in fact watch parts, aside from the actual clock which is just a small insert clock you can get at just about any wood craft store or place where you can buy pieces to make you own clocks. I believe it ran around $12. The gears are actually from a company that makes scrap booking stuff. I found them at a craft store. They are made by Tim Holtz from his Idea-ology line of stuff and run about $4 for a set of 12. Then were just attached and small brads used to make it seem they were riveted through the box. He also makes the inks I used to paint the box with. If you are looking for real watch parts and other steampunkish stuff for bases and what not try http://www.skullcrafts.com/. He has a Steampunk kit for basing that is really cool.
  12. well that is an interesting question. If you do the math it's alot. if Ramos is able to summon a spider every turn for 6 turns. that is at least 6 spider models. it takes 3 spiders to build a swarm model. Now if you have the brass arachnid and he stokes Ramos every turn you could conceivably summon 6 more spiders. So you're looking at 12 spiders and half that in swarm models. it's a ton of minis if you do it that way. As for the Electrical Creation you only need one as only one can be out at a time. However you don't need all that many really. I run with 2 spider swarms and 6 spiders and find I have enough models usually. while the idea of getting a spider or 2 out every turn is appealing it doesn't really work out that way and I find there are other things I'd like Ramos to do than finding scrap counters and making spiders but that's just me. I will probably wind up picking up another swarm and a set of 3 spiders just to cover myself if I need it, but that is some time down the road as my spiders don't seem to last long as I tend to blow them to pieces. So my typical starting set up is as follows for a 25ss game. Ramos (2 cache) Brass Arachnid --2 Steamborg --10 Arachnid Swarm --9 Arachnid --3 It's pretty much summon, stoke, summon and swarm. Then scatter and KABLEWY! Hope that helps.
