  1. Dear moderators, Please sticky this thread. It is still fantastically useful, and I've been playing for a while now. Thanks, The entire Ressers forum.
  2. Um, why? Rules Marshal says something's unique, it's unique. Do you need a fluff explanation? Sure, here's one: there's only one Molly. There's only one Seamus (and a Copycat), there's only one Mortimer, there's only one Centa, there's only one Dorian. In EVERY game I have EVER played, named characters are always considered unique unless a special rule says otherwise. Dorian: technically each model has a name? Seriously? Does a rulebook need to differentiate between "title/type/referent" and "given name" to prevent what you call "asshattery"? NOT HARD.
  3. It's especially funny when you Lure enemy models off of terrain pieces. In a recent game, my opponent parked an Austringer on a plateau that had to be climbed, so I just Lure-Lure-Lured until he took the closest path to my Belle - stepping off the sheer cliff. One severe flip later, and bye bye Austringer. In the words of my opponent: "Hey, t*ts!....CRUNCH!"
  4. Thanks, much obliged. Was short on time, so tried it here.
  5. Since I'm building a McMourning crew, and this is the place for information on the good doctor, I thought I'd ask here: Since sacrificing a body part gives McMourning "Fast", my assumption is that you can only take advantage of this ability once per activation. I've heard (and probably misinterpreted) the idea that McMourning can slice, gain a counter, use fast to slice again, gain a counter, slice again, etc., but I don't know how true that is. I might actually take him to the table this week, so answers would be great before I accidentally abuse him.
  6. I wonder if this doesn't gobble up too many SS, too. Nurses + Desperate Mercenaries + Canine Remains in a list you're running for McMourning anyway sounds like a fun bet. I can't wait for the models to come out...I guess I'll have to use PP's Saxon Orrik or something as a proxy.
  7. I'll suggest that Belles cast Lure at CA 8, so you're only at a -2 to Lure. If you know your flip/have a decent hand, you can actually succeed at this - the numbers aren't that far apart.
  8. Much obliged. That's exactly what I was looking for!
  9. ...that has likely been answered elsewhere, but hey, being in class doesn't give one much time to dig. Morale Duels, especially in light of Lady Justice and the Freikorps. Do bonuses like "Fear Not Death" (+2 WP in duels with the undead when this model is the defender) and the bonus that all Freikorps seem to get (WP bonus when defending, I think? I don't have the book) apply to Morale Duels? I'm likely to face Von Schill with Seamus soon (the other player is new, so I don't want to switch to a master he doesn't know), and while I know VS's (0) ability actually refers to Morale Duels, I don't know about what the other abilities work against. I seem to recall something being posted about Morale Duels *not* being defensive? But I'm not sure.
  10. Very briefly: I was reading the section on the Nurse, and I think that a liberal application of drugs to a Desperate Mercenary (especially if you have a nurse stab the guy for 1 damage beforehand) might give the Canine Remains a run for their money.
  11. I have a really hard time with Sybelle, too. With a Grave Spirit, she can really take the hits...but I have found, after 5+ games using her in counter-attack mode, that she's unable to return the hurt. Every flurry I've used has flubbed or done minimal damage. It's been a very frustrating experience, but only on the offence. On the defence, Sybelle + Grave Spirit generate the same frustration in your opponent. (I've picked up Sebastian, just to see the difference in damage output)
  12. Waaaaaaaait. Is this v2 official in any way? I thought that they kept Leveticus with the "summon" rule.
  13. Here's another one: Leveticus takes 1 wd at the start of the closing phase. His text reads "if Leveticus is killed or sacrificed during the turn, summon him...during the closing phase." Waifs return at the end of the closing phase (I think). Can Leveticus be at 1 wd before the closing phase, die to Unstable Necromancy, and be immediately summoned to a Waif, who will then be replaced at the end of the closing phase? It seems fidgety, but that's my take on it.
  14. ...and perhaps an ignorant one, but I'm trying to figure out exactly how the Hollow Waif thing works. Does the following work? a) Leveticus dies. Wee. Closing phase begins. You summon Leveticus to a Hollow Waif, then sacrifice all Hollow Waifs. c) Closing phase ends. You summon all sacrificed Hollow Waifs to Levicitus. I'm not entirely sure if "summon" is the right function here, as I don't have my book on me. Anyway, just curious. And I apologize for not digging any deeper, but time is short before work.
  15. Just curious to see if anyone's heard anything about release dates or model appearance for the intrepid reporter/undead masterpiece, just in case there's something I might have missed. I know that a few of us here are searching for her.
