  1. *Yells excitedly* One question... Is there anything you guys do that isn't awesome? Because you guys are awesome.
  2. Guuuuh... a day that will live in infamy. Don't forget the pre-measuring. As to the deck thing, at our events here, JMGraham and I have talked about deck inspections at the begging of each day of the event. Also, swapping decks with your opponent could minimize it.
  3. Hmmm... my first reaction is let him quit, and you get max VP to zero, but if that's not allowed... (I do think someone should always have the option of forfeiting, however). Was he frustrated with you, your crew, his crew, or what? I'd settle him down a little, ask him what is so wrong, and go from there vs just calling him out on it (not that I think that's wrong, you'll probably get better results this way, tho). Anecdote that may help: I suck at Warhammer fantasy, and one of our local players (who is an incredible player) and I were playing a game, and he was beating the pants off me. I am the worlds most competitive person, and was being a good sport about it (his words; not mine), so he told me somewhere around the time it became clear I was going to lose to just pick a goal- destroy a unit, have a unit alive at the end of the game, whatever- and try for that. If he is losing so bad, or doesn't know his crew well, you could suggest the same. I can't speak for everyone else, but I've played a few games where pretty quickly I was playing for a scheme and knew I was gonna lose. Just trying to achieve that makes the game enjoyable, and helps you learn.
  4. Is it the crew or the beard that freaks you out? Be honest! /insidejoke In all seriousness, Jack Daw+the hanged would go a long way. 2 crooked men would be sweet, because there's not much he can do about shafted markers, and they don't 'target' Pandora. Anything that does blast damage for sure. Alternately, since you know willpower is not in your favor, you could go a little more 'true' zombie, and lots of cheap models. But that's risky. I like the idea of Belles because then you turn the tables on him some- make him take some WP tests! At 35ss, here's what I'd take: McMourning Chihuahua- 2 Remains x2- 4 Friekorps Specialist- 6 Belle x2- 8 Crooked Men x2- 8 Nurse- 5 The specialist is perfect- Magic Resistance, armor, stubborn. The nurse could come in handy as well, but I don't know is she's your flavor. Also, summon constructs, not Necromancy's, as Flesh Constructs are immune to influence.
  5. And it hurt a lot. He is still an outcast (well, his body, anyway). All the resser master are living.
  6. I totally thought of lambtron, but all I got was shoe.
  7. Very nice work. I love water (blood) effects of bases. Lilliths cloak is excellent- very nice job on the whites.
  8. I hate it with all my cold, black heart, because JMGraham always summons it against me! That said, it is pretty dang good. I say don't pay the points for it up front; summon it (in fact, that's what I'd say about any high-priced undead). From playing against it, there are two great ways it can help your crew if it's summoned in turns 1-2: 1) as a beatstick. It's big, it's burly, two headed is awesome. Have it kill stuff. 2) As a distraction. If you can summon another baddy (killjoy, flesh construct, etc) before it gets killed, you can get your opponents crew out of position. It's such a massive distraction, they will want to kill it right away, and will often dedicate too many resources to the task, and then a flesh construct popping up where they should be... well, it sucks.
  9. Hai! :wavey: I'm a little south, in Bellingham, but welcome! Veskit has a good bunch up there. As far as playing, that's a nice haul. I mean horrible, you should give it all to me and start over. I would reccomend starting out playing Lady J, because she is the most straightforward of those masters and will allow you to better learn the game vs having to learn the game and a complex crew. Enjoy!
  10. I, personally, am pretty ok with keeping track of a couple threads that help make the game better. It makes playing the game much funner, and that's what it's all about (for me, anyways). So yeah, it makes sense.
  11. +1 to this... alternately, you can simply set the 30ss base on a 40mm base when it becomes a swarm, at least until you bulk up your spider collection (which you'll want to do). I find a convict gunslinger to work very well with a Ramos crew, as it gives you some much-needed firepower.
  12. I am running a Malifaux campaign for anyone interested in the Bellingham, WA area. It will be a 'location' based campaign, and last for about five weeks. It is faction-based, so teamwork is encouraged. Game sizes will vary, giving everyone a chance to familiarize themselves with their crews at various sizes. And, of course, there will be fun surprises along the way! If you're interested, PM me here, or email me at deanfortythree@gmail.com.
  13. Wow. Just... wow! Very well done. Amazing detail.
