  6. Cadilon's Fine Malifaux Auctions and Sales: Nightmare Edition Metal Teddy Read more about my auctions HERE. Here is something we haven't seen in a while. This is the Nightmare Edition Metal Teddy released at Gen Con 2011 (not to be confused with the NE Plastic Teddy released at Gen Con 2014). This item is out of print and with the move to plastics, you'll never see this in metal again. This is in NEW, SEALED condition. Item: Nightmare Edition Metal Teddy Auction Starts: Now Auction Ends: Last call starts at 8:00pm EDT (12:00 GMT), July 6, 2015. Starting Bid: $0.01 Payment Method: Paypal Shipping: Actual shipping via USPS Priority Flat Rate Box to US address; Actual shipping cost to other country. Description: It is in NEW, SEALED condition with no known defects in either the figure or card. Auction Terms and Conditions: - Introductory Information - This auction will run during the time period indicated above. - To bid, send me a private message. I will note on the forum the current high bid. - As with live auctions, I will make a final call for bids once it seems like bidding has topped out. 7. Cadilon's Fine Malifaux Auctions and Sales: Introduction I LOVE auctions! They are exciting. They are fun. And in theory, they are the most fair form of commerce. So when I decided it was time to pass on my Malifaux Vault to others who would appreciate these models as much as I have, I knew this is what I wanted to do. What items do you have for auction? When I say Malifaux Vault, I really mean, Malifaux Vault. I started playing Malifaux shortly after Gen Con 2010. I have far more models than I can ever paint or play. They include metal crew boxes, metal singles, and newer plastic crew boxes and singles. Most of these have never been opened and all have never been assembled or painted. I think the most interesting thing though, is my Special Edition box. I believe I have at least one copy of every special edition since Gen Con 2010, unassembled and sealed just like I got it from Gen Con. There are some pretty cool things in there, if I do say so myself. How will this work? Every 2 or 3 days I will list an item. The auction will run for a specified period of time. There is no reserve and bids will start at $.01. (Thats right, it is possible to win an item for one thin penny + shipping.) You will bid by sending me a private message. In turn, I will list the current high bid with the name of the bidder in the post. If there is a tie bid, the first bidding as determined by the time stamp in my in-box will prevail. At the end of the time period, I will call for final bids 3 times at one hour intervals. Just as in a live auction, if I keep getting bids the bidding will continue. After I call 'SOLD' the auction is over and any bids I receive after that are too late. I will then collect money, including shipping, from the winner and ship out the item. Its that simple. Why haven't you updated my bid yet?! Though I promise to do the best I can, I don't live in front of my computer. There will be times when I am away, perhaps hours at a time, when you'll PM me a bid but it won't be updated on the post. Rest assured, I will have your PM in the order the bid was made and I will update as soon as possible. When you think about it, it really is in my best interest to keep the bids moving as much as possible. I reserve the right to continue the auction until a later specified time just so I can go to bed. I am not as young as I used to be. In such cases I will always make it clear with the next final call will occur. How can I pay? Paypal only, please. So why not eBay? Meh, what is the fun in that?! I know this community will truly appreciate the models I have for offer and you should be rewarded for being involved in the forum community. Plus, I'd rather not pay eBay's fees. I live in [insert country other than U.S. here]. Can I still participate? I thought long and hard about this. I live in the United States. We aren't without our problems, but we have a pretty awesome postal system. The cost is very reasonable and its easy. And did I mention that it is EASY? I can hop on a web site and print out a mailing label and send a package anywhere in the U.S. for one flat rate regardless of weight. From start to finish we are looking at 5 minutes tops. When I look at this pile of loot I have sitting here that'll all need shipped, that is not a small consideration. By way of example, I recently had a request to ship something to another country and quite frankly I couldn't figure out which was their name, street name, or City. Took me 15-20 minutes just to figure out where the package was going, and that is before even estimating weight to come up with a shipping price. Having said all this, I don't want to be a jerk. I realize there are Malifaux fans all over the world. I am willing to give non-U.S. residents a shot at winning. But I have to warn everybody that if it starts to become too much time and effort to ship to another country, I'll have to restrict future auctions to U.S. only. So non-U.S. winner please keep this in mind. The easier you make it for me, the more likely it'll remain open to everybody. Ok, thats enough of my yakking, lets get to the bidding already!
  8. There have been a number of comments in defense of the band saying that Malifaux is already a mix of genres and despite this the fluff and the world still 'Work'; so why not throw in one more thing? But I think this line of reasoning accurately defines the reason the band is so jarring to me. 'Works' means that improbably all these genre styles have been mixed into a stew that compliment each other. Even the comedic Gremlins have found a spot that doesn't seem out of place. There is something for almost everyone and all those things coexist within an agreed upon boundary that doesn't conflict with players' disparate views of the world of Malifaux. Despite Malifaux's incredible flexibility in being able to stretch boundaries of disbelief, it is not unbreakable. Anachronisms within the agreed upon boundaries are still possible. For some people, me included, the band is asking us to go one step too far. And all of a sudden it doesn't just 'Work' anymore. By way of example of how some things may not fit into the world of Malifaux, I think most players would find that a new faction of armored space soldiers who drop from ships in outer space (sound familiar) into Malifaux would break the boundaries of disbelieve. No soul stone hand waving is going to fix that for a vast majority of Malifaux players. I know this is an extreme example, but it proves the point that anachronisms can exist in any world, even Malifaux. I know it's hard to believe, given the wide variety of craziness in Malifaux, but for me the whole concept of the band is just a little too ridiculous to fit into this world without it devolving into slapstick parody. For more examples of what I am getting at, watch Superman 3 and look at the introduction of the Draenei into World of Warcraft.
  9. Didn't know about it. I am getting back into Malifaux after a year long hiatus and literally this art was the first time I'd heard anything about them.
  10. Not to s**t in the punchbowl, but my initial reaction when I look at the art for the Crossroads Seven is, "Why?!". So a rock band, in Malifaux, being used as a crew/in a crew. Mmmm-k. Feels very "Jump the Shark" to me. Now having said that, I will keep an open mind and reserve full judgement until I see all the details.
  11. Thank you everyone for your PM's. Give me some time to review everything and I'll be in touch later today/tonight. Offers will be negotiated in the order they were received. Thanks

  13. Getting back into Malifaux and hoping to pick up a gently used copy of last year's book release Crossroads. Of course I could pay full price and get a new one, but I don't want it THAT bad. =) So let that guide you as to the price I am willing to pay. I am in the process of inventorying my metal models, but I know I have a sealed Colette crew box and 2 blisters of Coryphee. Might also have an Exorcist. Anyway, if you have a nice, gently used copy of Crossroads, we'll talk. Thanks!
  14. Thanks for the input! I'll get an inventory together and if something matches a request, I'll get in touch from this thread first.
  15. Hello Folks. Been out of the Malifaux scene for a while, but I am starting to warm back up to it again. Over the years I've picked up a number of 1e metal models, both NIB and some assembled. Of the older metal models, which ones seem to be in high demand right now? I am thinking Wardens and Guild Hounds, because some friends snapped those up from me in a blink. What else is in demand? Thanks
