Just to keep you guys updated, going for Ophelia I couldn't resist a pig wearing goggles, what more could someone want from a faction... in any game!

Spiders or Piggies, now that IS the age old question hehe will have to have a good think about that one..... You guys have been amazing help, you really have! Yeah, I think Lilith would probably be my "If I love this game and choose a second master" choice as she does seem really, reeeeally fun! Say, what would you add to Lilith as "must haves" after the initial crew box? One final question while I make my choice, and this ones actually for my housemate! He's gonna buy a starter himself, and I'm 86% sure (arbitrary number) he's going to be drawn in by the Hired Guns starter as he loves that kinda look. Given that I'm picking spiders or piggies, how well would Hired Guns do against spiders/piggies, in a sense of "Would one dominate the other with ease?"

Sorry for the slow reply! What I've narrowed it down to: Looks Wise: Tara, Ramos, Ophilia Gameplay wise (after quickly reading the wiki's): Lilith (love the idea of creating terrain for some reason) From what you guys are saying, Ramos or Ophilia seems to be the best way to go....

Thanks for the (super fast) replies guys, now thats what you call a pretty damn awesome community! Out of curiousity (because I like see through stuff, aka translucent starters on the store atm), how are: The Dreamer, Pandora & Tara out of the box? One final question, if I could afford a single booster/mini as well as the starter, would the ones you've recommended still be the best to go for? I ask because some starters are cheaper than others, which would allow me to buy a model or two to go along with them!

So I'm looking to get into Malifaux and after looking at all of the various crews and masters, I think ALL of them look bloody fantastic! There strangely is not one I wouldn't pick! Now for the near future I may be limited on my budget, so will only really be able to get a Starter (This might change!) I understand some contain a lot lower points than others, but overall which could you get out of the box and do okay with without needing to add anything? Given this, what would you say are the best "Out of the Box" starters?

I've found something which could be an annoyance rather easily. In the cart where it says "Special instructions for seller", there is no character limit. So if someone wanted to be a dick, they could spam an infinite number of text in this box. Not that anyone would do that, but before someone (annoyingly) does..... Edit: Ooo Just noticed that the Transparant Rasputina box has the thumbnail picture as its second picture instead of the normal transparant piccie of the models Edit 2: Another bug! If you're in the cart and you click on the "Check out with Paypal" button below "Check Out" it takes you straight to the paypal website and no shipping costs are applied (I live in the UK, shipping costs were zero so knew something definately wasn't right!)

Just to let you all know, got my money back since Paypal decided in my favour. Still no contact from Bleeding Through, no nothing. Going to keep in contact with the guy who traded £300 worth of stuff and give him all the info I have on Bleeding Through, so he can persue it with my support.

As i've said previously, I would tend to agree and normally have given him the benefit of the doubt, but then the questions crop up again "Why won't he give me a tracking number", "Why won't he reply to any of my pm's, but other peoples", "Why hasn't he posted on this topic yet giving his version of events", etc etc... Just to clarify, i've messaged him on every forum I know of that he's posted, as well as emailed him multiple times, and nothing. This trade was first started around 4 bloody months ago, and when he told me about his hospital visit for himself, and then his mum, I said that it wasn't a problem and if I recall even wished him well -.- I was more than happy to let paypal dispute sort this mess out and leave it at that, but when he replied on there acusing ME of trying to scam HIM, claiming he sent it recorded delivery and that he knew I had received it, when I hadn't, and STILL refusing to give the tracking number. It seems most of the people who have been scammed by him are on forums other than this one, probably because he's the most active on here. The user "Snakecharmer" from Warseer sent him £300 worth of stuff, and is having the same treatment of silence that I am, and from others cropping up on each forum it doesn't seem to be an isolated event. Like I said, Warseer admins actually banned him since he's apparently done this before on another IP, same name, same address. Regarding the house visit thing, what else can I do? If someone has taken your money, and then doesn't send you the goods as well as ignores all forms of communication available, then the only option left is to talk to them in person and find out whats going on, and my friend is going to do just that and just find out what happened

Any chance you could post the link to the thread from there? Then I can fill in a bad trader report so he will not be able to scam someone from that site

See thats what confuses me, I saw the warning signs of doing a trade with him after so much lack of contact, and then him asking me to pay as a gift, but decided that i'd trust him, obviously which I now regret. I have been constantly asking him just for a tracking number, since you never know, it may have well been delivered to the wrong address and we could sort it out by communicating. But instead he has chosen to selectively ignore any and all messages I send him, with no regard for sorting it out, and according to the Warseer admins its not the first time he's done this. So all I can do is hope he will have the decency to post at least explaining himself, which I very much doubt, and that paypal refunds me the money after seeing he's lied. Luckily I have a friend of mine who lives near Gateshead, and a past trader who also had some problems just gave me his address too, so gonna get them to pop round and see what exactly is going on.

Whats he say? He's still ignoring me. Perhaps I should contact his work number (Direct Health Care, Inc.) and see what there policy is on employee's who commit fraud

I understand that it might take a while for him to send, and thats not a problem. But what rung alarm bells with me are: 1. Lack of contact 2. Still listing the items he sold to me on other forums for sale 3. Claiming he sent via recorded, but lacks tracking information 4. Claims I have signed and received them when I haven't 5. Asking to pay as a "gift", which would leave me with no means of getting money back if he did try to scam me (good call i guess on this one) Leeoaks, if you do go to his house to visit him could you please ask what happened to the user "Tooooon"'s items as well please? Edit: Just been informed by the Warseer admins that he's scammed people previously, and has been using different IP's, so he's now been banned from the forums

Well, sadly all I can do now is either hope he sends me the tracking number to confirm he is telling the truth (Since I haven't recieved the items, its impossible, unless he shipped to the wrong address), or Paypal refunds me the money. Until that time all I can do is share my experience with others so they themselves can make up there own minds if they want to trade with Bleeding Through or not :/ It's not about the £30, even though that money is bloody needed as a student, but the idea that not only has he scammed me, but he's now turning it around saying I am the one whos scamming HIM

This guy is a scammer... a liar AND a scammer. Let me share my long ass story with you guys and my experience with this dude from the Warseer forums thus far, and others from what I can tell. A few months ago I expressed interest in buying 2 Malifaux items (2 starters) from the user "Bleeding Through" from his sales thread on Warseer after agreeing on a price via pm. I asked for an email address to send payment to, but recieve no contact. Time goes by, and I recieve no message of the kind, so throw the occassional pm since i'm not overly eager for the items. Eventually I get a short response saying he was ill and is sorting everything out, which I say is also fine and again ask for an email address and express interest in some other items I wouldn't mind buying from him. Fastfoward to a few weeks ago, still no response, but notice others posting on his topic asking if anyone else had any problems with him, which Bleeding didn't reply to. I then notice Bleeding Through had made another topic on warseer, this time looking for an item to buy, so I post in that topic asking if he would kindly complete the transactions he currently has before making any more, which he shrubs off and asks why i'd try and deter others by posting. So finally get a pm from him, this time with his email address. He then asked me to pay via paypal which is fine, but wanting me to list it as a "Gift" because of "problems with other sellers". Now I didn't want to do this, since if I paid him the money as a gift and he didn't send the goods, theres no way I can claim it back via paypal, so paid normally instead. Since then i've sent multiple pm's letting him know i've paid, and ones while he was online asking when he would be sending the goods, all unanswered. I finally get a response saying he shipped the items on the 12th, so nautrally I asked for a tracking number, and again didn't get any reply. I get a message from another user trading with him letting me know that Bleeding Through had just made a new thread over at the Warhammer forums trading items that he has claimed to already send to him, as well as me. Figuring he was trying to scam me, I opened up a Paypal Dispute explaining the events that led me to this point. The next day, I log onto paypal to find he has lied on the Paypal dispute saying he sent it recorded delivery and that I had signed for it. I have done nothing of the sort, and is claiming that I'M trying to scam HIM! He says he hasn't got a tracking number, but yet claims to know that its both arrived and that i've signed for it! I am currently in contact with the admins on Warseer about it, and have still been trying to get in contact with him, with no avail. All I can do now is hope that Paypal realises the guy is trying to scam me, and refunds me the money :/ TL;DR He's made multiple trading topics still containing items that he's apparently sold, tried to convince me to pay as a "gift" so it would be impossible to get money back if anything went wrong, ignored any and all messages, blatantly lied saying i'd recieved the items and then had the ordacity to claim i'm the one trying to scam him! Edit: Oh and just to clarify, the items I bought from him were the "Death Marshals" and "Pandora" box starters, which he still has listed here for sale.
