  1. Well excuse the brain fart, you are indeed correct. I guess it's just the Def 4 that really gets me down about him. Perhaps time to throw him into more lists? Thanks, guys.
  2. I'm starting to believe that two Slop Haulers are too many, outside of Somer summoning lists where they're necessary to make Git Yet Bro truly useful. Apart from that particular case, it feels to me that they slow down the crew a bit too much since they're not very mobile when it brcomes time to heal. Sometimes it's like they lag behind unless they use Reckless to triple walk and make up for Wk4. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome but as more kits arrive I think they're going to move further away from an auto-include for me. As for Francois, he's neat and there's a nice synergy between his trigger and Stilts but when it comes to anything involving Willpower or Defense, he just crumbles. He's almost a bit too all-or-nothing for me. I'm looking forward to more Henchmen being available because I'm generally quite reluctant to include him over something a bit more durable and less prone to Wp shenanigans. Stilts comes with a couple of downsides as well for him since things like Toss no longer consider him a valid target. I can't comment on Trixie since she hasn't made it yet from Gencon to me.

    Looking to Start

If you're going to be summoning Gremlins with Somer, you'll probably need more than the ones that come in his box. Apart from that, that's a ton of models to start with.
  4. I want to take it more often but I have a hard time justifying the 8ss cost + ammo (or reliance on Lenny summoning). Launching's awesome but I often wonder would 8ss not be better on a couple more Gremlins or a dedicated scheme runner with an upgrade. What's the secret to its use?
  5. A joker in the hand is the same as any other card. You can hold onto the Black Joker and discard it at the end of the turn like any other card. The question is if you want that card to re-enter your deck or if you'd prefer what basically amounts to a single card penalty.
  6. Hi zFiend. Methinks this topic might be a bit too mad for me but I do give it the odd glance.
  7. I think it was actually broadcasted in America first whereas other territories had to get it via Netflix. Same thing with the last season of Breaking Bad iirc.
  8. Their point is the Nightmare edition model is massive and it seems strange that such a large model only has a 1" melee range. It's a good question, though - why does it only have a 1" melee range?
  9. It avoids soft details where things wrap around. Math's explained it well and it's the reason I'm happy to have a hundred little pieces as opposed to some blobby details. Wyrd started off as a mini-driven company so it's nice to see they kept their standards high when they shifted from metal to plastic.
  10. Ht2 includes the pole. Personally, I really like him at the size he's at. His feet are right to the edge at least and he's very hunched over.
  11. Damn, what a great looking set of models. The feet attachments look sensible, especially compared to the Bayou Gremlins I'm sweating just looking at it! I've been really looking forward to Brew since your original preview. The set looks excellent.
  12. Damn, that's just asking for a TTB conversion. Lovely model.
  13. I must say I am really enjoying this thread. Kudos to both of you posting your reports.
  14. I'm very much enjoying these write-ups. I'm glad you've come around to the Whiskey Golem as well. It doesn't really impress me on the card but I'll have to look up the performers which I'm not too familiar with.
  15. Absolutely, please start one, especially if involves the Whiskey Golem.
  16. I was hoping for some crew advice from this thread. They should be here, but they're not yet.
  17. Binder seems sensible to me because you can see at a glance. Since I have the Battlefoam Malifaux bag, I shove the cards into the deck-sized pockets at the top. Not ideal, but handy.
  18. I generally was of that opinion but I've given in. The thing about dice is that they can be knocked over, get messy when more than 6 wounds are involved, it can be unclear which model they're associated with, they can get left behind when the model moves and players may have a different preference about what they signify. Cards allow you to write conditions and other misc. stuff on them as well. Far handier.
  19. In a game of Dota 2, you can ban 5 heroes you don't want to play against out of a pool of more than 100. When you pick 5 heroes out of the remaining pool for your whole team, they all have potentially equal significance. Banning a master in Malifaux is totally different experience since it's the lynchpin of your crew. It's also a totally different format - alternating picks and bans isn't the same as just banning and then picking in private with no intermediate stage. I wouldn't be interested in attending such a format. Just my two cents.
  20. I'm impressed. I look forward to seeing them painted.
  21. Great as always. Your blog has become an invaluable resource. Actually, I do care! I was looking up the sets earlier and was wondering what it was. Interesting minis but not the team for me, I think.
  22. They look really good. Nice tutorial. I wonder how they hold up in tears of wear/tear.
  23. Looking good. Love the cards littered around the bases and I think it's quite interesting how you've gone for green over the more standard purple for Lynch and HD.
  24. Snip the sprue up and try to glue it together first.
  25. Depressingly good, once again. I love the color scheme. I'm sure they'll look excellent as a group.
