Magcon is getting Wyrd! The tourney at Magcon is a go! Here are the particulars. The show will start at 11 a.m. on Sunday and be a three round 1.5 hour per round tourney with a half hour break after the second round. We are going to be doing standard Gaining Ground Tourney rules. This weill be a 45 SS tournament and there will be prize support with no entry fee! First prize will be a Terraclips terrain set with a set of clips included and there will be prizes for second, third and best painted as well! Malifaux is a skirmish level game that is fast paced and action packed with a great mechanic based loosely on poker and that you can use a basic deck of cards to play. The setting is unique as well a mix of steampunk, gothic horror and a western! I am bringing several factions so if you want to experience an incredible game mechanic utilizing cards instead of dice and an intuitive game play that is very action based please come by and join in! Well folks we are entering into the last weeks before Magcon here in the north Houston area and I have some bad news. Due to schedueling conflicts the Malifaux tournament has been canceled. The event planners apparently had a miscommunication and there was a double booking and we were the second commers to the slot. It was an accident however and the organizers are very saddened because they are huge fans and one was even signed up! So I am only going to do a 4 hour demo at the event. Speaking of demos I am posting the demo scheduel for next week. I have had to take some time away from demos as I am getting ready for a big move myself but I do have my scheduel for the next two weeks so here it is. Tuesday 03/27 I will be demoing at Fat Ogre Games form 6-8pm. I am happy to annouce that Fat Ogre has begun stocking our favorite skirmish game so you folks in the area please come out and support this demo as best you can! Thursday I am demoing at Little Wars from 6-8pm another great store that carries the game as well! I know the next one is short notice but tonight, Monday, 03/26 I am demoing at Texas Battle Bunker from 6-8pm as well!
