  1. The metal Nekima. The sheer amount of pinning and green stuff required... *twitch* I had to extend her right arm by a full 2mm and bend the left arm a smidge to get the sword to fit in properly.
  2. This one's been languishing in my basement for years, so I dug it out and decided to build her today. Having an issue, though, because the arms do not quite match the position depicted in the photograph - in any position I can fit them into without massive modification, they end up about twice the distance between the wrists as there is on the hands attached to the sword. How is this actually supposed to go?
  3. I ended up with the alt-sculpt Kaeris. Sweet! (Still willing to kill for Santana Ortega.)
  4. One that was suggested to me recently: Put a swath of white across the eyes, and a narrow stripe of dark down the middle of each. Then paint skintones around them, and finally add a teensy drop of darkwash - nuln oil or the like - to each eye, to outline it.
  5. Yeah, there are a few sculpts I wouldn't mind having in something, say, six inches tall. Rasputina, for example. Especially if the first-run metal sculpt was available, that one was pretty cool.
  6. Ugh. I -hate- building Ten Thunders Archers. Gah. Could you guys have possibly come up with a more annoying way to handle the heads?
  7. Doesn't help much when it flies out of my hands and bounces off three different things before falling behind something else.
  8. Yeah. Problem is that my best painting/assembly time is actually in between busy moments at work. So I don't have a lot of control over the environment. It doesn't help that I have large hands and fairly thick fingers. So dealing with those delicate little plastic bits is ... frustrating, at times.
  9. Well, I found it, then I lost the face off of a Metal Gamin. Not my day to be building, sigh.
  10. My Acolyte seems to have lost her head! Can anyone help me find a replacement? Serious offers only please.
  11. I've looked at KR's stuff. It does look impressive, but I have yet to find anyone in the US who carries it.
  12. They do, and they are re-releasing it as such. That said, I'm sure Savage Worlds could be adapted neatly to run a Malifaux-themed game with minimal tweaking.
  13. Reaper's case holds more, has wider selection of trays, and runs for about $50.
  14. ... Seventy dollars for a bag and three trays? Sorry, I wouldn't pay more than $40 for that. Not going to sell here.
  15. I have one of these, and it's... the compartments are not the right size. Most of the minis, the top of the head pokes out above by several milllimeters, and same if you try to put them in lengthwise - they squish into the foam or won't fit at all depending on size.
  16. A preview of some of the book 2 material would be nice....
  17. Highly Recommend: Charles Stross, The Atrocity Archive and The Jennifer Morgue. Bob Oscar Frank Howard is a senior IT geek at The Laundry - the British top-secret spy agency that deals with Lovecraftian weirdness and occult dangers. Then he gets volunteered for a bit of field work....
  18. Fool; how did you tweak the Savage Worlds magic system? Also, a thought I had for expanding the role of the cards in SW/Malifaux. Instead of Bennies, each player has a Control Hand. When they'd gain a benny, they draw a card. You can discard a card for a re-roll (like a regular benny), or to replace the dice roll.
  19. Fat Dragon makes a series of PDF's you can print out for Western-themed papercrafting... I also recommend World Works Games' victorian mansion.
  20. Normally that would work fine, but the Judge has his feet on the ends that would have to be cut off. It gets annoying.
  21. Has anyone else found several minis where the tab at the feet just does -not- fit into the slot in the base? I've noticed this especially with the Judge and one of the Death Marshals and it became mildly annoying. I don't often do much in the way of fancy with bases - tab into slot, glue, fill, flock, and that's pretty much it - but this is making things complicated.
  22. For YMMV definitions of 'well'. I haven't tried it yet, but supposedly refrigerator magnets stick to it just fine, I'd guess those little neodymium magnets should work just as well.
  23. Sure. Tuck a couple little magnets under the lipped base, glue a washer to the bottom of the other (or spray it with magnetic paint)....
  24. Just to introduce myself... well, my handle comes from an old classic sci-fi novel I was very fond of. C J Cherryh's "Downbelow Station", if anyone's read it, and the starship captained by Signy Mallory - ECS-05 Norway - driven to turn renegade on both sides out of honor and duty. People constantly see the name and assume I'm Scandinavian. I have to giggle at that - my family's actually Croatian in origin, although I'm third-generation American myself.
