  1. So far these models aren't actually for Malifaux and are just part of the mini line that Wyrd put out prior to releasing the game if I understand correctly. No clue whether this will change with the release of Book 2.
  2. Well, you can always give Joss Frozen Heart with December's Touch, or her Ice Queen aura if you'd rather keep him over the Golem.
  3. As far as I know, yes that is correct, unless I've missed an errata update somewhere. Back to the thread though, I'll probably end up owning pretty much the entire line eventually. That tends to be my attitude towards most minis games I play.
  4. Expanding on the above post: What about models that have abilities that require you to discard in order to use? Flurry and Rapid Fire come to mind.
  5. I've only been able to use the Doppleganger once, but it worked really well. The Emotional Trauma/Unhealthy Relationship combo was amazing allowing me to do 6-7 Wd per failed Wp duel (with only 3 Sorrows total, and only 2 on pandora). The problem came after I did it the first time and my opponent decided to concentrate on killing the Dopp. Still managed to use it one more turn before she was killed, and it took the heat off the rest of my crew, so I think I'll include her again once I actually get the model.
  6. You can choose to push past the target if you wish, but keep in mind that when you're required to move towards another model you can't finish your move further away than you began.
  7. So model Ht works differently than terrain Ht when determining LoS? That seems a bit odd...
  8. Ht 2 models block LoS to other Ht 2 models unless a Ht 3 model is involved
  9. My bad. I thought he was asking about taking them, not making them
  10. As Stampede says that you target the closest non-pig model in LoS for a Pigcharge, I'm pretty sure the intent is that you have to move at least into melee range or your full Cg, whichever is less.
  11. The errata changed Treasure Hunt so that you drop the treasure if you move by any action other than a walk action. No teleporting/pushing/charging with it I'm afraid.
  12. I was under the impression that blasts from a single attack could only ever effect a given model once no matter how many templates actually touched it. I could be wrong though.
  13. As long as it's undead too, then yes. So yes on all of the above
  14. Just wanted to point out that Incite/Pacify are not spells, as the word has been thrown around a bit in this thread without that clarification. As such you don't get to activate any Ca triggers, friendly targets can't choose to auto-fail the duel, and the duel acts more like a combat duel than a Casting duel (you both flip starting totals simultaneously, and the loser cheats/soulstones first).
  15. While what you say is true, it's also true of just about every other game out there to some extent. It even is true of CCGs and CMGs. Hell, it's even true of life in general: The more money a person has compared to you, the more options he has. If you think that's unfair, just remember this: The amount of money you have is a direct result of your own actions and decisions. If you don't like your lot in life, then do something to fix it. EDIT: The above might have come off as a bit harsh, but that wasn't my intention. I just wanted to post my thoughts on the matter and am not directing the above statement at anyone in particular.
  16. I don't play Sommer, but play against him regularly. Generally my opponent takes 2 Hogwhisperers, 1 Mosquito, 1-2 Gremlins and then fills out the list with Piglets. Occasionally he'll take a Warpig, but never more than 1. Overall this list does really well. We usually end up with a tie, and several times it came down to the very last flip in the game to determine whether one of us would win.
  17. I'll agree this is true to an extent if all you're doing is trying to wipe out the other crew, but if you concentrate on your Strategies/Schemes (and/or denying your opponent theirs) this really becomes less of an issue. Some games will be harder fought than others, but I don't think any match up is entirely impossible.
  18. I agree wholeheartedly. My LGS has the same problem with their distributor and it has forced me to make my last few purchases online. I really want to support the store that introduced me to this wonderful game, but the distributor is making it exceedingly difficult. They still haven't even gotten any of April's new releases.
  19. Sometimes it ends up creating some very odd situations: seeing someone soaking the damage from a direct hit with a chainsaw for example.
  20. 3x3 for a scrap. We usually use 4x4 for brawls though
  21. In other words: "We're kicking the idea around but don't want to get your hopes up". I don't work for the company, the above is just what I immediately thought when I saw that reply. That said, I've been thinking about using GURPS to run a Malifaux campaign. It should be a fairly straightforward port. I just wish I had more fluff to work with.
  22. You can have 2 Masters in a Brawl, so you could use them with Lady J in that case. Usually you get your 2nd Master for free, but with the Viks, they'll actually cost you 5ss to use alongside another master.
  23. I'd probably be a lot less resistant to that change as it still let's me cast without automatically leaving her exposed. She's way too squishy to leave exposed.
