  1. You definitely get more mileage out of Bandits than other models, I tend to run at least 2 Bandidos and Mad Dog, and oddly enough this is the one crew that I rather like Hans in, map depending. Even if Johan and Sue don't get into position until turn 2, your screen of bandits has probably bought you the time anyway. A Performer can also be solid, since you are dropping scheme markers near enemy models like candy, so she can lure your models and blow up markers without a care.
  2. Oathkeeper, Scout the Field, Coordinated Heist, almost always. The sheer amount of positioning I can leverage out of this is astounding. Whole crew gets a free Scout the Field move, burn Oathkeeper turn 1 for Fast and to free up an upgrade slot, which also gives you back the stone you paid for it. The term 'Ambush' just doesn't do it credit. Depending on schemes you can 5 Finger Discount into either Black Market or Highwayman, usually Highwayman, often without paying for it since with 4 Ap and a free move its pretty easy to get a scheme marker near Parker to steal for the upgrade and then since you have it you either draw 2 or get a stone. And thats just Parker. Scout the Field and Coordinated Heist are then easy to cycle into something else, while providing useful benefits in the meantime.
  3. Ah, I was searching for posts involving multiple models pushing or fearful whispers specifically. That's unfortunate, though I suspected it was the case. I was really hoping it was worded in such a way as to allow as many models ending in base as possible since it's a pulse. Ah well. Thanks.
  4. I am thinking of Montresor's Fearful Whispers upgrade specifically, though I am fairly certain that there are other models that do the same thing. Fearful Whispers says that all models within range must pass a WP duel or be pushed into base contact with this model. My question is do all models affected push directly toward Montresor or do they push in such a way that as many end in base contact as possible, obeying the other rules for pushes as normal? The Pushes section of the rulebook (RM: pg 46) states that 'Some game effects require a model to pushed in relation to another object, such as towards or away from another model. When this happens the model must move in a straight line while obeying these restrictions, moving directly towards (or away from) the specified object.' My question is: Is the 'moving directly towards (or away from) the specified object' part of the rule example text in relation to the example earlier in the segment (such as), or is it a inherent part of the rules of pushing a model in relation to another object (obeying these restrictions + moving directly towards the specified object)? More specifically, as Fearful Whispers does not specify 'Towards' but rather 'Into base contact', must models be pushed directly towards him or just end in base contact? If this has been answered before I couldn't find it, but I may have just been framing my search the wrong way.
  5. Scout the Field for most/all of your crew is basically Nimble for everybody turn 1, That is a BARGAIN for 2 stones, and I can't think of any situation where it wouldn't be good. Especially with the way he cycles his upgrades like candy you're not even stuck with it. Honestly that upgrade wouldn't be bad even it was just the scout the field half.
  6. All of my cards, as well as the book have Assaulted +2, deal +2 damage ect. It reads the same as Burning but triggers on activation rather than end of turn. So yes, it would be 4 damage if you hit a the trigger twice.
  7. @4thstringer You have to discard Curfew and a stone to use it. Its a once a game thing unfortunately. EDIT, oh, I see, Terracotta Warrior. Clever.
  8. @Da Git Lucius can smack Terracotta Warriors as long as he has cards in hand for no damage. I would also never run Lucius without Secret Assets, as I have had WAY too much success with that sniper to do otherwise. I also think that Secret Objectives is worth reconsidering vs the new masters as there are scheme markers all over the place now and Lucius putting out 4-7 Backstabs with the Emissary in play is not to be sneezed at as you put out min 4 damage on a crow. Planning around Curfew is a trap, it has the potential to even out a losing game though. Plant evidence is worthless in GG2016 for the most part.
  9. R.E Master of Malifaux: The terrain still exists on the table. I read that as she is not affected the Severe, Hazardous (and blocking when casting or charging) terrain traits, as these are all codified rules terms. Lilith does not treat the terrain as not existing, as she can't end inside a wall or something to that effect. I had a whole big post about how I basically considered ending as entering and my support for that. However, after much thought and rereading rules, I think I've come down on the side of they don't take damage. I would argue that the Incorporeal rule ignores terrain (and by extension its associated traits) for the duration of a move or push action. This would include the beginning and end of it as the only time the Incorporeal rule would not apply would be, logically, when you are not moving or pushing. It is functionally Hazardous terrain is being placed in contact with you after the action has resolved rather than you being placed in contact with it. There are other instances of this where you do not take the damage such as Jakuuna walking up to you or Ama no Zako casting her aura. Flight however is slightly different, you would ignore Hazardous in the case of movement effects, such as your own walk or a Lure, however, you would not ignore it in the case of pushes, as pushes are not considered to be a 'move' in the rules sense of the term. Both Incorporeal and Flying models would take the damage if they were placed in contact with Hazardous terrain, as placement effects are not movement effects either. (Rules manual, pg 60.)
  10. I like Phiona's upgrade, and I have some theories about Nellie that I'm going to test out tonight. I intend to run her with Delegation rather than Misleading Headlines though. I think I'll get more milage out of it. Guild funds and Embedded are too good not to take, even if you aren't taking mercs.
  11. I had this problem updating my Levi crew to 2nd Ed. I didn't really want to buy a box for 1 or two cards out of it. Still, the only other option is to see if anyone in your local area has a spare card and buy/trade for it. I don't know of anywhere you can get singles.
