  1. For those interested, I've posted my first impressions of Malifaux on my blog here. Part two goes up on Tuesday, and part three likely later in the week.
  2. Bummer. Mayhap a replacement can be sent your way. At least the miscast on my Gamin's wrist wasn't too bad and easilly remedied - the entire hand was there, just had to glue the two pieces together. I do insist that you paint the rest of the crew up pronto though, so I can admire the niftiness.
  3. I KNEW we were made for each other! (just don't tell my missus... or yours, presumably) Thanks for the comments, folks. These minis were fun to paint - though the details were a lot more shallow that I'm used to with Warmachine minis. It was great that the mould lines were almost nonexistant though...
  4. Picked up Tina's box last week, sat down and painted it over the last couple of evenings while watching Young Ones. Twas fun. I'm not the best at freehand, and to be honest, I can live without the stocking stripes, so she gets plain grey ones. Considering how she loves to hide in a snowstorm, I would think that any colour is counterproductive, but the sash ties in with the base colour for the Golem and Gamin. Apparently I also randomly decided she needed to be blonde. I have no explanation for that. For some reason, I'm quite pleased with the two straps hanging down over the tail of her coat. I really can't explain that either. An explosion of drybrushing, with red eyes to stand out against the blues. I know he doesn't get a lot of love on the forums, but he killed the Judge in a single activation in the one game I've played so far, so I'm gonna keep him This guy had a malformed left wrist. The arm ended in a knob, unattached to the hand, while the hand has secured to the model by the tiny contact point between the thumb and knee. Since these guys aren't as evidently constructs as the Golem, more like ice gremlins, I slapped a wash over them to smooth them out.
