  1. Wow, that nurse is just stunning! Love the job you did on her needle especially. Very nice man!
  2. Very nice man! Love your Silurids and the cloth to fur work on the Acolytes! Hope to see more of them soon!
  3. *fires a net over Shaper, dragging him off into the same woods and burrying him next to AB* Anyone else?
  4. *jumps Ab and scoops him up in a sack before running off to some far off empty woods and burrying him* Morning all
  5. *wanders in with a new Monolith behind him. This one is smaller then the others but has a Monicole over it's.... well where it thinks it's eye is.* Alright AB.... this is the last one. *points at him and glares* No more Monoliths after this. So here ya go.... Wine Monolith. *The monolith leans over Steamhammer and procedes to unleash a prevebial flood of wine all over him*
  6. Hey if there is a want and a will, we'll find a way to make it happen It's not the first time I've seen people asking about story/fluff summaries etc (its more like the 100th heh). So if we can get permission, we'll start on it
  7. It was pondered as an addition to the Wiki, but we'd need to purpose the idea to Wyrd and make sure we don't run aground of Copyright issues etc. I can look into this if there is enough call for the wiki to expand into carrying story content to. I'll post back later.
  8. For more Leveticus fun, see his Wiki Entry: http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com/Leveticus So much detail it will make your eyes bleed
  9. Old Spice Odder Blocking Body Wash is to POWERFUL for this argument to be Objective!
  10. Damn. Well best of luck with that man! If you were in the US I could point to some agencies that help protect you against this kind of crap :/ but I don't know how it works in the UK. Just keep the pressure on them though. If UK Insurance companies are anything like US ones, they will try to screw you as hard as they can... especially when they are wrong. But if you just keep fighting back hard, they usually do the right thing.
  11. Dude that sucks! Can you argue with the insurance company about it any further? Or are they just stone walling you on it? Don't give into depression man, hang in there and try to keep your head up! You'll find a way.
  12. Yup, perfectly legal. I've never seen a Marshal post contradicting this to date. It was one of the reasons why a few people seriously questioned the addition of Nightmare to the Night Terrors. Between the Dreamer and Coppelius you can do a good amount of shut down with this nastly little combo.
  13. I honestly don't understand the obsession with attempting to categorize Masters & Crews based simply of a perceived level of power when everyone's perception is inevitably warped. It serves no purpose but to inflate peoples egos and cause flame wars. +1 for Spiku's list, it may just as well be that.
  14. Anticccccccipation my friend Don't worry! You'll be able to get your hands on all those Puppets eventually.
  15. The word sir.... is Bird... Heh though on a more serious note, nothing official yet! But keep your eyes open, you never know when the announcement will come.
  16. *wanders up behind SteamHammer* Oh hello.... I'm just going to.... well... borrow your kidney *Grins all to wide, takes your kidney and wanders off* Thanks! Ill return it in a day or so!
  17. Seconded (or thirded in this case) on all of this. I (like Karavak) began Malifaux by picking up Pandora before I even knew the rules to the game. I had bought the crew based on the look and theme of them, evil babies, Pandora and her Woes... it was incredibly cool to me. I found out a few months into the game that she was basically a monster and as I polished my skills with her I found the ways to really break her. But even then, my opponent and I can have fun because I don't play like a dick. Its not about cheating people by not using their fullest extent, its about having fun. The same goes with the Dreamer. I grabbed him as soon as he came out, and absolutely love every aspect of him and his crew. I've got Nightmare LCB and his crew all done up and have this whole theme to them that I deeply enjoy. Yes you can play like a dick and a douchebag with him, but you don't have to. And no, it's not cheating people or "playing down"... its about playing so both people have fun. If someone calls me out and wants me to play to the fullest extent of my crews, fine. I'll take of the gloves and give it every trick I know and hopefully, that is the fun they were looking for. But all this Dreamer hate and grief is just getting so far out of hand. His mechanics are not so broken that he can't be played on a more even level. Again, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. I have 10 times more respect for the Dreamer player who goes into the game playing with honor and integrity then the one who goes in simply to win and crush their opponent. It's really that simple, "Don't be a Dick" Back on Topic: Karavak is correct, you don't need Rising Powers to play the Dreamer and your better off skipping the book unless you want it for the fluff. The stats in it are changed in many cases from what the cards say now. If your curious about what a model does, check out the Malifaux Wiki, linked in my signature. That will give you all the info you need on each model As to the original question. You can use the Download Rules Manual and the stat cards and play the game just fine. But buy the Rules manual, its $15 and has all the useful pictures, examples etc and your showing your support for the game and company. Start with his Box Set and then expand from there. Lilitu and Lelu are a powerful set of models to add and Teddy's are solid, fun, and well... thematically awesome, so you can't go wrong with 1 or 2 of him. But a MUST buy is a set of Day Dreams to go along with the Box set, they are super critical to him and basically he doesn't function without them. So basically, play what you think will be fun. Don't play like a dick and a douchebag, you should be fine. You will have fun and your opponents will have fun.
  18. I would sell you one if I had an extra. But consider posting in the trading forums: http://www.wyrd-games.net/forumdisplay.php?107-Trading-Forum Probably have more luck there
  19. +1 to all this, Nilus is on the level. Even then, he's considered top level because of a few specific abuses. I'm sure you'll become familiar with them over time, but I think it boils down to this: Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Ie, you don't have to play abussive with the Dreamer. His most basic mechanics are strong, but not abussive. It's what you can do with a few things put together that really make him one of the strongest masters. One of those stronger then the sum of his parts type of things
  20. Same here. I played this guy for his fluff and style long before the abuses surfaced. Even then, I consistently refuse to abuse the crew and play him as a casual/fun crew. Heck I didn't care what he did once I say Nightmare LCB and his crew, I just had to have him for his theme. Especially the Stitched Togethers, Oogie Boogie ftw any day. It's unfortunate what happened with him, but he's had several of his teath blunted already. It's also well within reason to think that something will be done to help even him out that last little bit. If nothing else, just don't use his abuses and play with integrity. People will hopefully realize this and if not, *shrugs* not worth your time in my opinion. Some people just always have to have something to bitch about. As an example, a frequent opponent of mine has never been bothered by the Dreamer's abuses for a simple reason... I didn't use them *shrugs*. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. So I wouldn't feel bad for playing him if your goal is to play for fun and thus bring a fun list rather then pushing his broken and abusable points. If that still bothers you, then come up with a House rule. The point is to enjoy yourself. Find what makes it enjoyable for you and your group and stick to it.
  21. Can't say much on this only that it has crossed minds. Wish I could say more but I can't :/ But that shouldn't stop you from basically doing the same thing just without the title for now I agree with Lalo's advice on it, I've found that works very well. I managed to get some players in my area hooked by consistent playing and it's done well enough for it's self.
  22. In general its up to you how to want to decide this. But if you REEEAAAALLLLYYYY want some input on this... there are a number of ways you could easily go. Since the other win condition is Work Bench control, you could base it on who had the most Work Benchs at the end of the game. Or if that is tied.... well then it's just difficult haha. I'd be inclined to say the person who was activating (ie the person with the Joss Upgrade) would win because it was through their action that the game ended like it did so I'd give them the win. But I would say... its then down to # WB's each player control and after that, whatever you want to make of it! For Gen Con events we vary a little bit, but it usually went like that. But there is nothing wrong with there being a tie in the end
  23. Any way... that's enough forums for today. I'm off! FWWOOOSSSHHH!!!
