  1. Don't know if they will restock these in the near future, the Ripples of Fate crew boxes are pre-releases that haven't hit the online store advanced orders yet. Might see them again during Black Friday though.
  2. Not sure I agree with this completely Blacks85, Gremlin's (the entire faction) definitely has a self destructive, high risk, high reward play style that is very reminiscent of the GW WHFB Orcs and Goblins. What I would offer is that thankfully we have access to a lot of good methods of mitigating that potential so it doesn't have to be as noticeable. I would wager you would find the most enjoyment in a Som'er Teeth Jones crew. It has a lot of the features you desire, insanity (crazy damage potential), hilarity (he has access to an action called Pull My Finger, Rock To The Head, and Git Y'er Bro, while the Gremlin's can access Ya'll Watch This), and complete disregard for each others well being (the cheaper staples usually have to declare a trigger with their attack actions and more than a few of those are damaging to either the model using them or models around them). The biggest downside is the higher cost of entry for him. You will probably enjoy the Pigapult as well and no one feeds the machine or squeezes out all of its potential like Som'er with Lenny.
  3. It has a consistency similar to Gloss Medium (Brush on varnish). It is worth adding some Flow Aid or distilled water to thin it a bit. Distilled water is very important as tap water usually contains minerals which can adversely affect the final look, particularly in "hard water" locations.
  4. I agree that the TtB Hannah model is an absolutely beautiful model (much better than the general release "Relic Knights" Hannah model where Hannah seems superfluous on the frame). I would also say the Multipart Male model was nicely done, however the female one (at least for those of us that got them via the kickstarter not sure if this is still true about the general release ones available now) had a major issue with elongated limbs. My only hope is that Wyrd has learned from that particular Kickstarter campaign. It would seem they have already taken some very positive steps toward remedying a lot of the issues with that previous campaign though. The "bag" announcement coupled with the fact we have already seen some of the titan models strongly indicates this isn't an "I have a neat idea" KS that will require not just the production capital but also time for actual development of the idea. This also means we might see an actually realistic delivery timeline for the product instead of the usual U.S.E.W.A.G. (un scientific extremely wild ass guess) game industry KS promote. Wyrd lost a lot of their previously good reputation with that particular KS campaign. I for one am willing to trust them again. The company is very different than it was then.
  5. Vassal is a good method of doing this.
  6. You might be able to locate her at Gadzooks Gaming. That is where I was able to get mine for a reasonable price.
  7. Getting there and in is the lowest cost of attending GenCon.
  8. Given that you are looking at the starter set and like the Neverborn and Gremlins, I would look at Zoraida as a good next purchase. This is a dual faction Master that can play in a lot of different ways and will allow you to collect/ expand into both factions gradually. For the teens I might look at Rasputina (Arcanists), Seamus (Ressurrectionists), Lilith (Neverborn so you can share a pool), the Victoria's (Outcasts), Ophelia (Gremlins so you could again potentially share a pool of models), and Misaki (Ten Thunders). All of these are fairly straight forward and largely self contained (read as low cost of entry). These can also be fairly competitive.
  9. @Full_AtomicHave you thought about using a textured paint product? You can purchase these (though they are often fairly expensive) or mix your own. I prefer to mix my own using a PVA Drywall paint (2 parts), play ground sand (1 part), and White glue (1 part). It seals and textures everything in one easy step. You can add a tint to the PVA Drywall paint if you want or if you want something more durable that shades and highlights itself just use Miniwax Polyshade as the final coat right over the top of the white/grey PVA Drywall Paint. This 2 step process makes some very durable boards.
  10. That [blank] is so broken with [blank] I can't beleive that got thru play testing, there is a reason after all [blank] hasn't had access to [blank]!!!
  11. Likely adjusted the stock numbers remotely from GenCon. By the way love the look of the booth that Eric posted on his twitter. Any chance of getting a front view of Teddy? Man I wish I was there, my daughter is even offering to pay for gas, admission, and a hotel room if we make the drive. Tempted to take her up on it...
  12. I would bet that if the limited edition model is in fact out of stock then it will be sent later once they get resupplied. Wyrd is pretty good about that sort of thing.
  13. Would be a lot more effective if we had the required information though. With that said GenCon's been open for a bit now, where are all the spoilers and pictures (even Wyrd's facebook and twitter pages are silent which is odd)
  14. @Math Mathonwy Do you think it is worth including a link to the tournament tables I used for my last event as a visual representation of terrain density? Those tables were around 50-75% and all included multiple terrain types.
  15. Just to reinforce what Kobayashi stated in his post above, GenCon is a very different beast than Black Friday. GeCon entails the company essentially moving their headquarters/ Operations to Indianapolis for a few days, Black Friday doesn't require this. Historically orders have not often been processed or arrived in the order they were received (the reason I made my previous post). Every year after GenCon a thread pops up with people reporting receipt of their orders often with their order numbers, and every year there are people who start to worry about their orders because a higher number received their stuff while they have not. This has occurred with posters that placed multiple orders either on the same day (to get multiple limited edition models) or a day or two apart (forgotten items or unexpected financial windfall). While i am sure the desire might be to get orders processed in the order they are received, the reality is that this is often not the most efficient means of fulfilling those orders (particularly true if some items are more popular than others). There are a lot of factors that affect how an order is processed, International shipping introduces its own set of issues to the mix as well.
  16. Sometimes the older sets are made available again during the Black Friday sale. That is only a few months away.
  17. Just to set some expectations for the newer members of the community that haven't done a GenCon online order until now...dont expect your order number to equate to how soon you will receive your goods. Based on snippits shared by Nathan (the guy in the know) in the past, once they get back to the office they will print all the orders, round up all available personnel (seem to recall even Aaron being press ganged into orders fulfillment during this and the Black Friday sale) and begin orders packaging and shipping. Sometimes the pile of orders falls over mixing everything up and breaking the sequence other times it might be divided between available hands for efficiency. Rest assured you will get your stuff as quickly as they can get it out, but don't be surprised if a higher numbered order comes on here and reports they have already received their items before someone with a much lower order number. As far as I recall it has happened every year and usually Nathan chimes in at some point to reassure the worried minds.
  18. You might be playing the wrong faction then, gremlin's are notorious for shooting one another. Sometimes this is accidentally, other times it is on purpose, and still yet other times it is done to impress other gremlins.
  19. Be sure to take advantage of the Gencon online sale (or if you are lucky enough to be at GenCon the booth sales) in preperation of the upcoming league. All the newly released models will be usable during the league.
  20. It really is difficult to beat the efficiency of a single Slop Hauler. The only one that really seams to be able to provide healing on a similar level is the Lightning Bugs
  21. They typically shut the store down a few days before and after GenCon. It will be up shortly and should contain everyting that is listed in the news letter.
  22. Wonder why it is just this thread doing the double posts?
  23. Encouragement is absolutely worth it especially if you have a lot of models in the crew or you plan on using Bigger Hat Than You a lot. Also keep in mind it doesn't just effect the Attack flips but any duel that occurs as a result of Action, so Terrifying, Manipulative, etc. You will get the on both attacks from a Charge Action though I don't believe you can suffer 2 damage to get Typically if you are able to do that sort of thing it is written as 1 or more damage to gain for each damage suffered or something along those lines.
  24. Though it can work Scrap markers aren't common in Gremlins (even with Sparks once per turn Getting Creative ability) and it would still only be one Iron Skeeter (the trigger is once per turn). The Mechanical Pork Chop is a good addition if planing to use Sparks and Survivors. It provides an awful lot of additional benefit via Detachable Tail and Walking Rage Machine.
  25. While that could be a possibility, Sparks Wind 'em Up is a 0 action and also requires the Construct trait. No guaranties any of the Sky Pirates have that trait. Would definitely like to see it though.
