Well, I'm actually happy with this one. Alot of info here that I hadn't heard before.
-
Perfect! I was hoping, in my heart of hearts, that the title of this thread led to a picture of the Judge. Well played
Nice model too, by the way, ha ha. I do agree that the cattails, while fantastic, don't seem to fit with the base.
-
what i was considering with the (dead) doggies was to use them to fetch Corpse counters; Belles lure the target closer, Shamus / copycat / Sybelle shoot it dead (or in the case of the so'mer clan; him killing his own guys) the canine nips in, grabs the counter and runs it back to Seamus...
Yeah, dogs are good for that, unless Teeths big ol' pigs eat up all the corpse counters before you get to em! That's why I'm really liking the vultures, as they can do that, with a flying walk of 10, and pass them to Nicodem without having to make the treck back. But with Seamus, the dogs are a nice alternative Though alot of the time, Seamus has better things to do than summoning belles. Like poppin' a cap in someones ass. Seamus is such a gangster, ha ha.
Khail: I agree. If I was going for the bomb, and the nurse was something I was really attached to, I would definitely switch to the Necropunks. But the nurse is just a side benifit here. I would let her go in a second. No, this list is all about the circle of (un)life. Dogs go, dogs bite, dogs die, and the dogs become much more beautiful butterflys, like Punk Zombies and Flesh constructs. So the more bodies I have on the field to play with, the better.
-
Khail: Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I might just drop the nurse and whatever else to fit Sebastian in.
As far as the canine remains proxies, I had a coupld of reaper Hienas laying around, and they actually look really cool as Canine Remains. Looks like the undead meat has twisted them a bit. But, I only have two. So I can buy 4 more, or I can buy two packs of the actual undead dogs, which would be the same cost, and get me the same number of dogs.
blkdymnd: Those dogs are way rad, but they wouldn't fit on a 30mm base, would they?
-
So, I've been toying with this list for awhile now. I think it's going to be really fun, and also competitive. Now, I just need to decide if I want to spend the money for that many canine remains proxies
Crew Cost: 30/30 Remaining: 0 Soulstones: 3
Name Cost
Nicodem, the Undertaker 3
Vulture 2
Vulture 2
Bete Noire 9
Canine Remains 2
Canine Remains 2
Canine Remains 2
Canine Remains 2
Canine Remains 2
Canine Remains 2
Nurse 5
Basically, it's a big, fat, game of recycling. I'm doing my part to help the enviroment . The dogs will run in groups of 2-3, so they actually pose a threat. The nurse is there to get off the dog bomb, so a dog can go buzzing a crossed the field, and pop like a big Bete Noire piñata, to take out a key model or so, and hop around as long as possible. As things die, the vultures pick up the corpses, and give them back to Nicodem, who spends the game turning them into punk zombies, flesh constructs, whatever is needed.
What do you guys think? Do you think the Nurse is a good use of points? Anything you would change?
-
Unfortunately, that's our biggest weakness. We really dont have dependable ranged options in faction. Bette Noire has a nice weapon, same range as Seamus. Other than that, Convict gunslinger, Jophan or Hans would work. Ronin are also a cheap option with a very solid ranged option.
The more I think about it, I think this was done on purpose. We have the best and easiest casting of lure. How bad would it be if we also had highly proficient ranged options without the merc tax?
-
Yeah, sort of the same thing with Resurectionists and canine remains. Not quite as important as Ronin, but still a bummer not to have. Just find a good proxie, and use the book till the model is released. and yeah, the medium base works nicely.
-
How can you not like the punk zombies?
Do you dislike how the model works, or just dislike the models themselves?
-
Yeah, I was going to say that, but didn't have the time. He said he wanted them for their ranged capability, but it's not so great, so the Punks might be a bit better for that. But the crooked men are all about the shafted markers. They're really quite good for their SS cost.
-
Yeah, I'm not sure that the crooked men will be good for what you want them to do. I haven't really played them yet(I usually only proxy if I have a suitable model, and there aren't alot of undead miners out there) I think the zombies will be better.
-
I'll be the president!
But seriously. If you look at the convict gunlinger from any factiona POV, he's a really solid piece. But for the Ressurectionists, he just adds SO much that we need, he's that much more amazing.
-
I'd say you have a couple of good options.
1) Punk zombies. Nice, basic, heavy hitters.
2) flesh construct. Also a nice tough heavy hitter, but less money than the punk zombie pack.
3) convict gunslinger. This guy is incredibly usefull. Nice ranged attack to supliment Seamus's .50 cal. Suppressing fire is really great for depleting your enemy's hand, expecially when they're clumped up, like with Pandora and the woes.
Honestly, I think your best option would be 1 or 2. All 3 are awesome, but I feel the red chapel box just needs a bit more hitting power. But the convict gunslinger would definitely be purchase #2.
-
Heh, that was a really good report. I figured you had it in the bag, and actually made an audable "oh no" when things started to go sour, ha ha.
-
Yay for new websites!
-
Hey, that's new to me! Good find!
-
Plus sonia is incredibly rad, and Sam is a killing machine, so you're good
-
I've used the duplicolor enamel paint and the result was disastreaous.
guess this is not the product that you guys used
Yeah, completely different. You need the sandable primer.
-
What, no cerberus's running about? No Hoarcat Prides? Comeon man! Your collection is incomplete!
But that little Gamin looks great! I'm excited to see how your non ice beasts are going to turn out!
-
That looks great. Would you mind taking a pic with a model next to it? I'd love to get an idea of scale.
-
Seriously Grim, you need to mosey on down! There's actually no tournament on Saturday, so we're just free gaming. You should make come if you can! That way you can stay for more than 2-3 hours, and the drive is actually justified
Oh, and get the gunslinger. Now. Seriously love him.
-
I've used resin bases in the past. , not extensively, but I have. honestly, with the end product, there's really not much difference You just have to be careful with the inserts, as sometimes they have unsightly gaps.
-
Interesting. I've always been warry of 3 way games, as in every other miniature game I've ever played, 3 way games have always ended up with one player taking out another, and then the 3rd player clearing out what's left. I don't really see what would make that different in this game.
-
Yeah, the base inserts are awesome. I'm puting my whole Ressurectionist crew on Graveyard inserts, and they look amazing.

Yeah, I started playing pretty much the same day as the cuddle, and honestly, it's not that bad. I still resurrect plenty of stuff every game. There's just no silver spoon. You've gotta go out and do it.
