  1. Hehe, don't like to meet that cutie in a dark alley, maybe add a drop of blood to the scissors...
  2. Really nice paintjob - that source lightning just looks great!!!
  3. Man, they're really nice ... and I need to pick up that sewer bases with my next purchase!!!
  4. The same thought struck me too some time ago ... after noticing that i spent much, much more time at my paintstation than actually playing with the finished pieces ... changed it and had much more fun lately ... Really nice paintjob btw
  5. So any ideas what might be a good addition to the minis included in the Seamus box? Since I'd like to order soon, any hints are highly appreciated!!!
  6. If you're from europe, or just interested in alternatives to Testors Dullcoat, you could also use either Gunze's Mr Hobby Topcoat (which is acryl-based) or Tamiya's TS 80 flat coat spray (lacquer based - might change over time)... I prefer the TS 80, it gives the mini a really flat finish, and if you apply more than one coat you won't even need a gloss coat underneath... If you don't like spraycans you could also use a brush-on coat - from Vallejo (Matte Varnish, No. 192) for instance, just thin it down a bit, add a drop of dishwasher and a drop of isopropanolum and you won't see any brushstrokes... P.S.: Don't spray when it's too hot or too humid - you will ruin your paintjob, and always shake your cans/paintbottles well before you use them - otherwise you'll get a shiny coat because the talcum powder (that's the flatbase) isn't well mixed with the varnish ...
  7. I'd say ... I like it BTW: found this concerning flames/fire - might come in handy...
  8. Hmmm... Since I own a Proxxon Thermocut (http://www.proxxon.com/us/) I've cut through a few cubicmetres styrofoam but haven't spent a single thought on paper terrain ... it just doesn't look real compared to a scratch built piece, and the Thermocut is really easy to handle; a few blocks of thick foam, some artist mediums (Lascaux!!!), balsa wood and your victorian town quarter is already halfway built All you really need is a cheap source for the styrofoam, cause the thick sheets (5") are a bit expensive... P.S.: I'm already in planning mode - post a few pics asap...
  9. Man, I can't even remember when I bought the rulebook or my first batch of To-Tanem minis ... must have been 2004 or 2005 ... if they continue with that speed, I might risk another look at their website in 2019 :frusty:
  10. Thx for this primer and the others - helped a lot deciding which box's next on my list :top:
  11. This all sounds like lot 'o fun - I just hope I get my rulebook soon - I can't wait any longer to screw things up pretty bad...
  12. Well, I hope you'll make it there - perfect chance for me to make some chit chat with you to impress my local gaming group later  Anyway, thanks a lot for the nice welcome!
  13. That's exactly why I never gave up my own account  Great job, btw...
  14. Well, this is definitely on top of my list!!! But I'm experiencing some problems with the site - the top menus seems to disappear pretty often and I'm also not quite sure if all the items in the subcategories display correctly?!
  15. So'mer Teeth Jones for me... He's just the ugliest guy 'round here...
