  1. More like cavalry hatin'. In every system I've ever played, cavalry end up clumsy and ridiculous.
  2. Hey Huffdogg...what part of Indiana are you in? South Bend here. Let me know. Later, Chris

  3. If by "Mordheim" you mean "any miniatures game" then I agree
  4. lawl. just goes to show how totally subjective this all is. I read this AFTER I voted for that name as the breakaway fave of mine.
  5. How's the widget?!

  6. dear god no. it looks appalling and I've heard nothing but atrocity about it.
  7. IMO any constructible game has always had this to be true. From the earliest days of M:TG, one's ability at assembling a killer deck was at least as important as how one played in achieving success. Miniatures games that I've played have followed suit to a much lesser degree, but army compo is still very important. I've never yet seen the minis game that was so perfectly balanced that I could say with confidence that any game composed of equally-pointed sides constituted a fair match. That, IMO, is the holy grail of game balance, but it likely would require watering-down rules systems and special abilities so far as to make the game largely uninteresting.
  8. I'll take their allotment of stuff
  9. That is pretty much how I was desperately hoping to find out it would work.
  10. I have to agree that the post was difficult enough to read that I simply passed on it. Even the edit is a bit too daunting for me, personally. Not trying to snipe, just offering what I hope is constructive criticism.
  11. Yeah our local area has a small convention every year at which I wouldn't mind trying to do some Malifaux demo goodness, but that would require finding out some crunchy details about the game
  12. Kel, there is a special place in each of the nine hells for you.
  13. If you swap the positioning of "steam" and "punk" at opposite ends of the word, it will actually wrap around in an infinite loop.
