Due to a couple of reasons the deadline for the wyrd event will be put back by 1 week so the deadline is now 22nd march. so even more time to paint something up!

I have pleasure to announce the first of a series of special painting contests over at WAMP.

this one is being sponsered by Wyrd Miniatures who have kindly donated the prizes.

The contest will run until March 15th 2009.

All entries must be wyrd miniatures previously un-published but apart from that you have free rein , be it single figure, diorama, whatever takes your fancy.

Judging will be done by one of Wyrd's very own painter Demonherald

how about a team contest? either say teams of 3 against each other with the scores added together, or maybe do countries - the wyrd world cup. you could use an average score from each countries entrants that way it matters less if one country has 20 entrants and another has one or two.

as for prizes, i think a mini or bust of jims avatar would be great or a cheaper option is a badge. (think blue peter!)

as some of you will know. Us folks over at WAMP decided to do our bit for charity and decded to raise some money for the NSPCC.

Now the auctions are all finished i can reveal that the total amount raised is..

just to let you all know the charity auctions will mostly close tomorrow (between 12 noon and 9pm gmt) 37 lots are still available 34 finishing tomorrow and the rest on friday morning. there is some great items in there, many are unique or rare including painted and unpainted stuff.

every penny raised goes towards the nspcc to help stop child abuse and cruelty.

its worth a look and you might see something you like..

even if you cant afford anything then help spread the word and raise as much as we can for this great charity

i like the model, but i know what you mean, if the tiara was gone she would look better. not too keen on the paintjob though - kinda looks unfinished in places
