  1. A belated Hey Babe! Welcomen:wavey:
  2. We have "in a pickle" for being in trouble. Where the heck does that come from? That's always been a weird one.:vb_tongue
  3. I'm too rammy, only about a week, then I'm moving on. Not to say that if I'm bored I won't pull one off the shelf and fix him up a bit.:tongue2:
  4. Cops get paid to go to court all the same as being on the street so its no big deal for them to show up. However, no cop is going to cancel their hollidays to come in to trafic court. Close to xmas, you might get luck and they're a no show. That's about your only bet to win on your own. However, you can ask the judge for a break on the fine by asking to make payments on it instead of all at once. I have seen them grant it up here. In other words, if the cop is there, just plead out on the charge and request a payment deferal of the judge based on financial hardship (being a father of a big family, being a student, high debt load, you name it), so long as it is reasonable. He may even decide to lower the fine himself- it may be rude to ask yourself for a reduction in the cost. Just cover you ass for being there. However, go ahead and fight if the cop ain't there, then you could win. Its worth showing up to see. No matter what- kiss that judge's ass and don't piss him off lol. Another alternative is an inexpensive lawyer/company that works based on only if you win. They are worth it if you are low on points left over on your license(otherwise screw it). They are called POINTS up here. I'm sure you have a lot of those guys in your area too, just look in the yellow pages. They usually know every play in the book. ps... the worst ticket I got was for about $350 in one shot, ouch. The cop picked my car apart and found even crap on my license that was wrong and he could fine me. I was going 6 mph over, but the rest was the crap he could nail me with. Bad mood or what. The above was stuff a lawyer pal told me to do too after I got that one. Godd luck anyway you slice it.
  5. Naw, if he's honest he'd offer a suitable replacement or a total refund no question. I screwed up shipping just OK, something I should have taken insurance on and the guy told me the terrain came busted to crap. He wasn't mad, just sad. I told him straight off I'd make him a new one pronto or else give him a full refund. He took the replacement and go a real nice one shipped in a double box that time. The customer is always right. He had a good ebay rep, so no reason to doubt him and he left glowing positive feedback, even recomending me to friends and i made tons more sales to his gang. He needs to refund you the rest of his cash, you don't owe him squat. His problem if he shipped it like that. I would furthermore call the ebay dispute people regardless and let them write him of your concerns. Usually shakes them up a bit too. Then leave absolutely no feedback keeping him guessing, until he satisfies your loss. Then it is your discression if you finally leave him with positive feedback. I would leave him positive only if he is quick about the rest of the refund or sends you another mini.
  6. Cool man, that cleared it up for me too. :thumb: I agree that PC just goes nuts sometimes. Now if the wolfcriers applied those imaginations for something good...
  7. Man those two flicks aren't even in the same category. Cool Japanese/foreign influenced non-Hollywood v. schlock. It wil be a bit ruined by the fact you saw #2 first, but it will stand up in the acting/directing category still. It was mega scary and I don't scare easy in flicks. Wayyy more suspense. So do ya have pics yet Eric or are you still in planning mode?
  8. "Alas, earwax"- Prof Dumbledorf Maybe they were watching simpsons and saw Homer go- mmmmm, butter. Then thought, YESSS. I saw Hommie butter his milk duds once.
  9. So is this like the Ring where you have to make a creepy recording of this post and make someone watch it within 7 days or croak ;(
  10. Sounds like a good use for that Bag o' Zombies I saw. There is this bag of 100 25mm plastic zombies out there for sale. I laughed, they weren't bad. Done in clear plastic too. I can't remember who puts them out.
  11. You could come up with a pun with right or right hand and thumb in French n'est pas. "Les driots des pouce ou ta pouce droit...?" (One of my Grandpas was at least part Englis, though they both spoke French, and I came out Metis, go figure.) Sorry cheap joke in French no less. And... my personal saying, "can't be built with a chainsaw, can't be built."
  12. Plays that Stevie song, " Very superstiscious, wrtiting on the wall. Thirteen month old baby..." I asked the same thing on CMON and basically got called an idiot, or seriously warned not to do it. Like as in " bad things" :nutkick: will happen to me if I did post it up and talk about it lol. I never knew that painters were that superstiscious. Yeah, I know rules, rules, but still... I'd love to give you my 2c on whatever you had. It'd be a cheap thrill for me at least to see a champ in the making.
  13. ...back to the rule of thumb, my Grandfather said it was used by carpenters to estimate an inch since the time of his Grandpa and before. That would put that info from in the 1800's for sure, and I have never seen that law in print, though I've heard FF's explaination too. My thought is that there individuals (stressing not FF- he's magacool) that have twisted an innocent saying to their own ends like so many things. I think its not the saying furthermore, its the intent behind them. I mean there are some things that are outright racist, but I think this has none of that connotation. OK- here is one of my own sayings, why the heck do we say HELLO- when we answer the phone. Monty Burns says HOYHOY. I think that was an option of greatings. I'll have to consult my bathroom reader for some facts on that lol. I also like" not the sharpest tack in the board"..or,"knife in the drawer"
  14. Where have I been- Nova Scotia, that's just about as far east away from where I live as possible and still being in Canada. I'm back home now trying to get my hobbies lined up before winter- which is like tommorow around here. Hope to dash in and chat once and a while in these here hills once and a while.
