What's your opinion on religous related minis?
Sakura replied to green stuff's topic in The Hobby Room
But it's supposed to be educational, not art. I can't remember anyone saying it was art. Some people might find it entertaining, but some even find accidents entertaining... I so wanted to go, because I'm very much interessted how the body works, how organs look and all that. I'm studing biologie for a reason. But my mother wouldn't let me go there, thought I couldn't take it or something. She went there, though  -
I prefer classical music and metal as long as it's not death or too growly. I love Carmen, Turandot, die Zauberflöte and Bach, but I also listen to pop music, oldies and musicals.

Mistakes, errors, bad code etc
Sakura replied to Mosch's topic in Wyrd Board Help and Code of Conduct
Well, I don't have that problem. Everything is shown all right here. -
I like some of the greens and blues, but they don't have enough brown tones. The pinks are also nice.

@MOsch: You know I'd play it with you, at least once. ( If you read the rules for me). How can you call it quick play, if it takes 2 hours? Not exactly quick in my opinion.

Your likes and dislikes about miniatures ...
Sakura replied to Nathan Caroland's topic in The Hobby Room
Well, I prefer Fantasy or modern minis, but I sometimes buy other minis if I like them. If I just need 1-2 minis and can get them in one of the shops around here (mostly GW, Rackham, Reaper) , I'll buy them there, if I want Stuff from other companys I usually wait a bit any buy a load at an online shop. It doesn't matter to me if they have nice paintjops or something, I don't mind having only seen the green or bare metall. So I won't have any illusions about how it will look in the end. (I'll never be able to paint like the Rackham artists.) I usually buy 28mm, but I don't mind if they're a bit smaller or bigger. I have some 52mm minis, but I have problems painting them, so I only buy them if they really are gorgeous. I don't mind the bases, when I like the mini, though I hate Reaper bases (who don't). I substitute all other bases mostly with the Dark Age ones, or make fitting efaplast- bases Packing I don't care about, as long as I can see the miniature. Reapers packing works good enough, though they're allways bending the wepons. And I prefer if it's whole in the package, I don't like multipart minis much. I prefer single minis, but if I really want one mini in a box, I might still get it. I just buy what I like, though there are some lines I like much stuff from, like Hasslefree. I tried painting myself an Confrontation armee, but it didn't work. I just can't paint what I don't like, and all in the same colours and stuff. So, why do I like to paint minis: I'm not even sure about that. I guess it's for the beauty of it. Just to paint something so that it looks good. -
He makes strangly protruding cheekbones. Doesn't necessery look bad, though.

I barely know any sculptors and don't know which of my minis were sculpted by whom. I just think Werner Klockes faces look all rather similar. And most hands, by many sculptors, are a bit lumpy and unelegant.

NEWS: Groundforge Scenic Bases

A small amphibic creature, which is residental to the rain forest : -
The woman looks a bit like a demon or something. Perhaps it's some kind of summoning... :bird:

I'd like to be somewhere in the middle, though I prefer not to have Mosch follow me (but don't mind him to be befor me). Some kind of pre-generated plot would be nice and I like the "open"- option.

I like the Decking ones. The slates aren't bad either, but I wouldn't buy them, since I can make something like that myself with just some cork. -
Kids and Saturday Morning Cartoons
Sakura replied to Nathan Caroland's topic in News, Reviews, & Discussion
I still love many of the Disney- cartoon- series: Weekend Kids, big break, and the one with Penny. They don't run specially on Saturday, though. -
The Pirate captain is the best, the other all look a bit strange, the propotions and poses are a bit akward.

Movie - latest Harry Potter
Sakura replied to Nathan Caroland's topic in News, Reviews, & Discussion
Yes, that was in the new book. But if Snape isn't bad, well, he promised to help kill Dumbledor, or do it for Malfoy, and I don't think Dumbledore could forsee his own death so far in the futur...all very strange...I guess he was a double-spy all the time after all. -
If it ends up being Fantasy or Horror, I'll join, otherwise, well I'm not good with Sci-Fi and I don't like Cyber.

I think it would be a good idea if you ordered the smilies a bit. There are the craziest smilies in the panel, but if a want a simple cry-, or lol-, oder angrie-smilie, I have to wade through long pages of unorderd, basicly useless smilies. It would be easier, if you just put the often used, simple emoticon-smilies at the beginning, and all the bigger and more specialised stuff at the end. -

I just LOVE Severus Snape. Just don't like him to be the bad guy. And he's even better in the movies. *Droll* -
I saw them on eBay once, the KodT set, it went for 30€ or something. But I don't like the minis much anyways, I don't think they look much like the chars... or too much like them... don't know.

Sakura replied to Nathan Caroland's topic in News, Reviews, & Discussion
Meh, she ruined my favourit char. But I hope I'm wrong and it was just a clever plot-twist. As far as I know, the books will end with the 7th. And if I may guess, Potter will die. It seems the only logical conclusion. -
Kids and Saturday Morning Cartoons
Sakura replied to Nathan Caroland's topic in News, Reviews, & Discussion
I allways liked to whach Saturday cartoons, since I was awake at the crack of dawn and and could sneak in the livingroom ( we weren't allowed to watch much TV when we where younger). I actually watched them till I got 18 or something, but they really got worse and worse, and many channels stopped showing them, so there wasn't much point in it anymore. -
Does anyone where to find a tutorial on how to paint fur, on animals or as cloathing?
-
Oh my, that's awful. Just don't let him come back. You'll surely find someone more faithful.

Sakura replied to Ritual's topic in News, Reviews, & Discussion
Nice, expecially the sorceress. The others look pretty ninja-like.
