  1. Good evening, Lately there has been a lot of flak aimed in the direction of Cadmus' keyword because it is a strong keyword which provides a unique challenge. I've spent alot of time thinking about the general match up and have played over a dozen games into the keyword (outside of beta in it's current form) against some of the best players in the world. This might be preliminary or even outright wrong but I thought I would try to provide another potential perspective on how to deal with this terrifying crew.   3. Chi certainly helps, but also Fuhatsu has an inbuilt so he's less card hungry than he looks. Sensei Yu will often wail on Fuhatsu for the Good for a Laugh trigger for draw 4 and discard 2 which is usually enough to keep the crew operating well - and then Juggernaut/someone else heals him back up.

  4. Hey all, I’m new to this painting forum- literally been here 5 minutes. I’ve been painting for a few years and desperately trying to get better.   8. What i see, in general: -Low willpower. -They have no easy condition removal: Hopeful Prospect (bonus), Cryptologist (trigger on his bonus) and Spelleater (trigger on his attack and is Once per Activation) -No easy access to healing (outside of Jedza).

  9. The effigy is an enforcer, so you can't just put magical training on it. You still need a minion (although a steam arachnid + magical training is still the cheapest way to get arcane reservoir).

  10. A 2 stone model that they can very easily summon 3 of a turn which is even worse but I think people ignoring these models is when Cadmus starts to feel too overwhelming. The cadmus keyword itself is fine, it's when people bring the non keywords and abuse the mechanics is when it becomes a NPE. Cryptologists bring extra husks, the emmissary provides additional healing and Toro obeys to let you give out more parasites. I would disagree on time limit though. If the cadmus player knows what they are doing and executing their game plan, people can get games in a timely manner. I think my

  11. Euripides is host unto himself. There's a good variety within the Savage keyword and that can lead to very different lists and play styles. Even those who've played him before might be surprised by him and what his keyword can do.

Terrorize would be good except its directly away and its very easy to position big based models to where they won't push off the idol whereas lure is a move towards you which as long as they don't go backwards, they have to make the move. Have not declared Reva yet and probably won't. I play pyre heavy and the emissary just ruins my day. It's guaranteed to see the table too. I think its doable to get a marker up to the enemy model but it requires way too much setup for my liking lol.   20. And in a flurry of activity, I've finished off the English Ivan core box! Already posted this in a few other places so sorry if it's old news. Basic idea was to do a strong white zenithal highlight and then gradually darken things with contrast paint before adding some directional lighting also with contrast. To keep things fresh, all the living crew have lamps on their bases while all the shadows are entirely in darkness.   21. That's actually a good idea. I hadn't considered the HRMs as they're already painted, and I was planning on saving time by just rebasing them. Breaking one into a WRM along with a LRM would give me two of each. Great advice, thank you!

  22. At this point, despite being 3-3, my opponent had only left Misaki, Shang, Minako and a torakage. And it was pretty difficult for him to score second point of Breakthrough and Spread Them Out (which was clearly his other scheme). So he was about to concede, but we decided to play the 4th turn. Summing up, only Misaki survived and took control the bottom left ley line. (We agreed the lodestone should pass to her after the last model was killed on the table).   23. I think I'd let them pick out the crew they think looks coolest. The starter boxes are pretty neat in that they include a henchman and three minions. Generally that means you could run them in Henchmen Hardcore and/or low point games with a Henchmen leading. Even the most complex crews are a lot more manageable with only 4-5 models in the table. The soulstone system is pretty ideal for slow growing up to the 50 point standard.

  25. Hi, cutting in here pretty late as I took a sabbatical from the forums but good job on the tactica. A couple things to consider. 1) Always try to summon a bayou gremlin along with whatever else you are summoning. It pretty much makes the summon free when that BG eventually dies. Its like banking a card for a later turn. 2) Shouting Order is absolutely the biggest reason Cranky makes it in the crew. G&O are at their best with Focus. I will often take IC on them and first turn walk get a focus, concentrate, then next turn should be in place to shouting orders after using both focus for

  27. Part of why VS is good into shen long is because he turns off upgrades :). As for diving to remove the ball carrier t1, the best option is to bring a rotten belle, move her forward with something and lure them off the market. It's gonna be difficult to do anything else in corner except seamus. I'm into Bayou which instantly kills my reva list making :(.

  28. Step D of Damage Timing says after a model is killed you remove the model, stat card, and Upgrades from the game. If the Card is removed from the game I'm not sure how you can argue that the ability on the card stays in Play? d. The killed model (its model, Stat Card, and Any Upgrades) is removed from the game.

  29. I'm a big fan of saying I'll only collect a few Masters and weakness covering models. Then slowly convincing myself that I do in fact like all of the Masters and will probably get them one day. Unless something shiny in another faction gets me first.
