A total of 77SS this month. 10SS for the metal golem. 15SS for the three metal gamins (5SS each). 4SS for the essence of power. 24SS for the three shastar vidiya guards (8SS each). 9SS for Kudra. 15SS for the three poison gamins (5SS each). I will be painting Apex in March.

  5. Hey Wyrdos, As you might already know, we’ve been actively working on a brand new board game behind closed doors. Playtesting and feedback have been going over extremely well so far. We’ve made a ton of breakthroughs and adjustments based on game reports, and we are super excited with how the game is shaping up. Over the last few months, we’ve been adding tons of content, and because of the amount of stuff in this game, we need as many playtesters as we can get to make sure that it is as awesome as we're aiming. This is where you come in! We need more playtesters so that we can get as many eyes (and hands) on the game as possible.   7. Thank you muraki! I made the crates from balsa wood and the tomatos and chilli peppers with green stuff. The assembly is supported internally with some metal wires.

  8. So, Mr. Graves is done. I like the sculpt but I wasn't really motivated to put much effort into him. Still I think he looks okay. I'm just glad I was able to stick to my stones level on March's home stretch. @Caedrus With the Beckoner from earlier this month the big guy puts me at 13 stones.

  9. @Caedrus At some point I'll batch do my bases, but I surprised myself by finishing some models last night. 18ss via 3 Yokai. I like the skull faces, but not sure about the orange (needs more highlights) and the blue & purple, one too vibrant and the other too dull/watery.

  14. Satin shadows are great imo. Glaze will be glossy if you use to much glaze medium (or ink). You can control that by mixing a hint of matt varnish directly in to your glazing mixt or by giving a coat of matt varnish to your whole mini when you're done (which I do for all my game play pieces since it help to protect them on the table top... I.e. playing with varnish mini make you flip the Red more often, it's a fact).

  16. You have 2 really good masters to face Leveticus: LJ and Sonnia. Spelleaters are great at completely negating the Unmade trigger while Sonnia can blast most of Leve crew from far away. Also Outcasts are known by their lack of access to condition removal. LJ has 2" + leap + easy access to Stunned, that combination is probably one of the best counters for Leve. Also, the lone Marshal hunting for the Hollow Waifs is a real problem for the Leveticus player. The spreaded HtW forces Leveticus to have focus to go on a neutral flip to the damage. Dreamer is an issue for many keywords and his late game is just bonkers. You have to play superagressive in early if you want to have a chance, because you are going to lose most of the flips of turn 4-5. Schtook is going to have an advantage against crews that don't generate resources, but Hoffman and LJ can be a problem for him. Kirai has been a struggle for me with all the masters I play, so I don't have much advice against her more than try to kill her and try to avoid the double Ikiryo. I haven't played enough against Cadmus to have an idea here.

  17. We already discussed that Bokor are OTT (over the top) but making them lose the glowy tokens it's stupid. The real change should be making Deja Vu once per activation. They will still be good, specially in keyword, but they won't be abusive as they can be now.

  18. We can set it up so that you get additional puppet sprues - so $300, $400, etc. you will get additional puppets. If you're interested in additional Eggapults and Eggs, they'll be available for purchase as well beyond the free ones at $100. Thanks!

  19. Heya folks! I've been painting miniatures for about a decade, and started taking it pretty seriously about 2 years ago. Initially I was only focused on Games Workshop stuff, but then I discovered the beautiful sculpts of Malifaux! So far I've painted up a few crews, most recently Lord Cooper, and figured I could share some of my work here! I'd love to hear what you all think and see if you have any ideas for color schemes/styles to try in the future! All the bases I use are from Micro Art Studios since they're cheap and are far far better than anything I could make on my own. Currently working on Yan Lo's crew (just finished assembling everyone today) so will try and have an update at least every week or so, depending on my work schedule. By posting here I figure I can stop spamming the fb group (sorry) and also show more angles/close ups!

  20. Hello, everyone! Been less than active on the forums lately, but with April around the corner (and a new MWS event) figured that I'd jump at making the thread for Outcasts this go around. The sign up is still open through 4/3, and found here: The player's pack may adjust (TO is leaving it open until 4/2 in case GG2 is announced), but for the time being we can talk about the rounds we currently have! Let's start with round 1: What do you think you'd bring in this setup?

Shamelessly copying the faction discussion prep threads from other factions, here's the setup: I felt dirty playing Ten Thunders last tournament (though I will admit Shen Long is quite fun) so I'm likely to just solo the God Empress for the tournament, but what are others of our kin considering for Round 1? Do those that creep along the ground think that Marcus might be a solid choice here? Personally I am afraid of what might end up being other factions' Recover Evidence choices, since that's probably stuff like... Schtook, Hoffman, Misaki, Jack Daw, Ophelia, etc. Thoughts?

  23. I believe all previous models are usable, although some have changed in unexpected ways. If you go on wargamevault you can even get cards with art for the previous versions.

  25. Tragically for Tara, I don't think I'm sweating her on Recover Evidence Though people who do play her I would watch out for, simply on the basis that if they're madlads enough to do it, they might be extremely competent. Or insane. Or both.

  29. Totally! This is a good idea to make mini war pig look a little bit bigger (I still can't believe that they did such an obvious sizing mistake). I like your pigs too (just a little bit more contrast could have bring more depth, but pinky pigs are always winners 😀 - if you want to try, just glaze a magenta toward the recess, it will do wonder for just a little bit of work).

  30. So what you're saying is : if I play against Reva, my crew must have a way to be in her face quickly (this combo take your whole turn to execute). Than the fight will be mostly in your deployment Zone for the rest of the game.

  31. I'll paint alt Candy using only a kolinsky #4 oil brush (davinci brand I guess but I chopped the long tail a while ago, so I'm not sure)... and I'll use oil only. Since it's oil, I'll have to cheat a little and also use a old fading brush...

  33. Well, it's still painted Malifaux miniatures but I was in the mood for something more weird than mere undead humans, so I started to get some progress with my (started but) unfinished projects. Here's the first Order Initiate:

  34. I did it on vassal, let's see if I can remember... Carrion Emissary shoots both for 3 (BP 5, BN 4) and makes a mindless zombie near bone pile Corpse candle activates and attacks Bete once for one (BP 5, BN 3) Shieldbearer activates pulses focus and drop the burning marker over it and Bete (shieldbearer burning 1), charges Bete and pushes her 0 inches doing 1 damage (SB burning 3, BN burning 1, BN 2 health left) Shieldbearer attacks again to push Bete (SB burning 4, BN 1 health left with 2 burning) Bete noire drops token Manos activates and attacks bone pile (BP 3 health left), then siphons power off of bone pile to leap (BP 2 health left. Bone pile activates and throws a bone to Bete Noire to heal Bete Noire 1/2/3 (assume moderate heal 2, BN up to 3, BP down to one). Bone pile drops marker then eats a corpse marker (zombie) to heal two and is now at three. Reva activates, uses two bonus actions from swift action, eats 4 burning from shieldbearer and 2 from bete noire for 6 healing 3 to each bone pile and Bete Noire (BN 4, BP 6) Bete noire activates and heals 2 from GST. Attacks Manos to self bury (he regens next turn). (BN 6) And there you go, Bete and Bone pile each on six life The really tricky thing with building this engine was avoiding it being card hungry or needing precise damage hits. At no point in the chain can a model accidentally kill another model.

  36. Every time a model heals during an activation it can activate all the chronicles. Each models Chronicle can activate at most once during each models activation. You are right if the ability is a may you can choose not to activate your chronicle. if it isn't a may then you have to do it on the first heal of the activation. Its unfortunately a little more complicated. Auras of the same name don't stack when they are effecting the same model. if you have 2 lamplighters, then the healed model can only push from 1 of the auras. If you have 2 moorwraiths, then they both can push towards the healed model. (Because their aura only effects them.)

  37. Flank deployment and HOTR are also why the home-base camping with Basse isn't as great of an idea. Mind you, the Sand Worm isn't BAD in this strat; it just isn't amazing.

  38. It seems like something that would require a lot of break down. Like do you use just the range, or the threat range? Like Mad Dog's gun might have 8" range, but he like everything in the crew has Run and Gun for a much bigger range. No matter what you do, I think it's a really cool tool. I really appreciate all the effort you guys put in. @Hermit

Haha, okay okay: Reva & candles Carrion Emissary Manos Bete Noire with GST Bone Pile Shieldbearer This list can get both Bete and Bone Pile down to 1 hp on turn one (with 0 risk of accidental death from flipping all severes), and then heal them both back to 6+ health. The tricky part was figuring out how to do it without accidental death xD So you can drop two evidence markers in your deployment zone in the far back corner, then have two models that can teleport around the map (making Vendetta, Catch and Release, and Breakthrough all easy scoring options).

  40. Oh man so it’s been a crazy few weeks and unfortunately I haven’t gotten much Malifaux painting done (too busy trying to crank out my last few skaven models). But what I did do was paint up a ton of bases and then have a buddy paint some malifaux models for me. And here are the results! He’s a brilliant painter and now I can add Lynch to my list of crews as well as cross off a bunch of ten thunders versatiles. I’m very much looking forward to painting up English Ivan annnnnd I just recently got my hands on a HUGE haul of old M2E models that I’ll start working my way through after I finish my skaven army.

  41. I mind of dis it : Vintage Sonia using kimera colors (Blue, warm yellow, red + black and white)... I cheated for the base using contrast pain. How to take good picture still elude me... I had an hard time with this figs (the face is so weird and tiny and the blade is ugly). I was aiming for 3 hours but I end up spending around 5.

  46. They're also def 3 against a stat 6 attack with 2 relevant trigger for the damage boost (crit and no witnesses). I wouldn't describe this as "hard to kill". You'll be on a straight or better most of the time. You can cheat the moderate (50% of the time or severe 50% of the time) if you don't hit it naturally... I think Rami can realistically kill on or even 2 of them per activation.

  47. These are the only 4 Factions that don't have a Master that costs under 15 Stones. What kind of theme would you devise for a Master (and most likely Totem, as the most common reason a Master is discounted is because they have a beefy Totem) for either of these 4 factions?

  48. Aeslin is great for controlling the center of the board because of her built-in crow and her ability to drop markers from range. I take her when that is relevant (denying claim jump, scoring/denying leave your mark). Pairing her with the emissary can make her effectively a min 4 beater and the duo can project threat 8" off a well defended position. If I don't take her, it's because I don't think holding center matters and I'm usually bringing more mobil pieces in her place. Bultungin are usually not rated, and I tend not to bring them, but they bring condition removal and scheme marker removal on a fast, 5-pt body. If you treat them like fast support model instead of true runners, you'll get value out of them. Still, I bring only hire one in maybe 1 out of 20 games. I don't think that's a slot that really need replacing. Most of my Titania crews tend to be fairly elite with 6-7 models and it's that 5-point runner slot that gets cut more often than not. Some people like wicked dolls, but I'd usually rather have 3 stones.

  50. She is worst and most usles of whole band. Def 4 sucks. She works only vs some models with mandatory card draws or to counter things like "tools for the job" she has very low dmg potential. "Lascivious music" in statisticly helps your enemy. She has no free action like most other crossroads. "Seduction "is very situational. Only good thing she have is "Now Kiss!", you cen use it to place model near another enemy to make use of wrath aura.
