  4. I think you're looking at it the right way @Ogid. Driving into his table half certainly limits what he can do with his 4th AP. I do believe that you should, in most games, go after Seamus to take him off the board. You absolutely right that a good player can position Seamus to keep him pretty safe, but for him to do what he wants to do you should be able to reach him with Neverborn just has so many fast models and can win initiative when they need to. I have not seen a Seamus vs. Nekima matchup. It would be really interesting. Fly with me + move 6 with the mature means you should be able

  6. Hello again Malifaux world, we just uploaded another battle report but this time we did a Henchman Hardcore battle ( our first time) and we had a lot of fun with this format. Give it a watch and hopefully you enjoy and please provide feedback good or bad, we are really curious how it will be received https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HnOS1KS-lQ

  12. Feel free to ask further questions! There is also a few old threads that might help you: About your previous questions I agree with the answers given. AP is usually better in minions to get the card draw except in very particular crews and models. Serena covers this faction weaknesses well, so she is a very popular pick and good to have while learning the ropes. I don't like Bultungins at all, all that speed is worthless if they die before getting anything done... I've seen a Bultingin getting slaughtered in 1 activation by a Soulstone Miner for example, a model that doesn't stand o

  13. No it doesn't, all it suggests is that it's resolution gets delayed if an action is being resolved. In previous editions those kinds of text were never restrictions that it can only happen under that event, it just tells you to handle it different under those events than the default timing would suggest. Usually to prevent interruptions.

  14. One argument in favour of double Antipathy is that it explicitly says "ignored by the Antipathy Ability of other friendly models." If they meant for it to not apply twice, it would presumably say "ignored by the Antipathy Ability of friendly models" (dropping the other).

  15. Ty for the answer guys. Still an scary match up but It's good to see I'm in the good track. I'll report back when I play this one (with luck in a few months XD) Pandora was on my radar but I wasn't 100% sure about her for Seamus' Wp of 7 and the posibility to face Schtook that also has hefty Wp values; but even with that it's true she has potential. She may borrow his gun (once per turn tho), with a Changeling and a low crow she might get a crow to control him and other models; and she herself isn't the best target. A stoned mask in defense (or one set up before with the Changeling) will

  16. Stunned + Slow halves Seamus' actions, so that should lock him down pretty well (although he'll still be able to walk and take one shot, if he can't focus he will likely hit for four damage). That's another thing to note - make sure you're stripping his focus stacks if the opponent is the sort to stack a bunch of focus on Seamus. His cannon is not that scary when it is hitting for 4.

  18. If you're wanting to be competitive and money is no object... Get all four Transmortis boxes (a must, as having every summon option is important to maximise your gameplay), carrion emissary, and mindless zombies (either in the Residents of Rotenberg box or any other method). Then feel free to come back for advice on gameplay!

  19. For what it’s worth, stuff like “Stand Back, It’s Evidence”, Scamper, Hold ‘Em, Weight of Guilt, and Shimmering Lights do say “after resolving the current Action or Ability”. That does strongly suggest that “after resolving the current Action” won’t happen outside of Actions.

  21. I'm more or less and exclusive Foundry player, so ask me w/e. Things that super annoy me that havent been mentioned yet are A) Armored constructs. The crew can struggle against armor and their Hazardous doesnt affect constructs so they lose their ping damage. B) Moving me away from Scrap Markers. The crew can correct, but it takes time and effort. They have low movement so if you pull them away from Scrap it is fairly easy to trap them. The Hole in the World trigger has been used against me exactly twice and both times it lost me the game. C) As Adrian touched on, Obeys wreck

  22. Hi and welcome at the Coffin Stackers! 1) Von Schtook hands out Upgrades to his crew and whenever one of your models with one of those Upgrades kills an enemy model you can then summon a new minion with cost less or equal to the killed model's cost Purchases for Von Schtook are mainly the two new boxes for his keyword, available soon. 2) see: Purchases for Von Schtook are mainly the two new boxes for his keyword, available soon. The two mentioned boxes (Study Group and Honor Roll) should be enough for competitive play. I usually stay fully within keyword with Von Schtook an

  23. I guess what I love about them is that in card-hungry crews I'm always looking for models that can do their job with no cards fed into them. Aversion get close to that (only needing a card for frightening reminder). You can position so that there isn't a gap big enough for the model, but the LOS issue is definitely one I haven't found a solution for (other than still stopping 40/50mm bases). It'd be ideal if Pandora was incorporeal, so you could just push the enemies through her xD

  26. Huh, I just noticed how useful Jaws of the Beast is. It doesn't just ignore the from Friendly Fire, you just straight-up ignore all negative modifiers. Manipulative? Engage with the Worm and boost your whole crew's shooting against them.

  27. I agree BBS doesn't sound as an answer to Colette; but about the Focused. Have you tried an opening with Vasilisa+BBS? 2 Pulses of Focused from 1 BBS and a Mature in turn 1 (it requires 2 masks and 1 scheme marker so I usually include also a doll to put adversary in the model the BBS is going to knife and drop the marker). The other player doesn't have that much time to kill the BBS, it's easier to put Focused+2 in several models in turn 1 than when they took off, and from turn 2 you may play with a full Mature with 8 Wds. And with the Adversary is reasonably consistent. That op

  29. Hey, it's ya boi, Kharnage, back at it again with the God Empress Nekima. Good news to those of you who were dismayed when I faltered in my faith of Nekima; I have been restored to belief that she is actually still strong. Make no mistakes; Von Schtook is without a doubt the dumbest master in the game. If you want to farm easy wins and destroy morale, Von Schtook is the way to go. He has such a comically overtuned kit that I'm literally playing him to get him nerfed because apparently when I do well with a master they nerf them (RIP GG0 Nekima) But that being said, Nekima is still crazy s

Seems like with a zenithal light they'd have no shadow or highlight and I'm not sure directional lighting works for terrain. Think I'll break them up with some moss or something on future. You don't actually see that in nature, but I figure these caverns have been opened up by mining, so stuff from the surface can get down in there.

  31. Dang. I messed up by not reading the rules properly. There's nothing I can't field, but there are a few models that I've chosen to proxy, either because the legit model was unavailable at the time (Firestarter and Eternal Flame) and I was unwilling to pay for a new core box, or because the existing model didn't fit my crew (KORE). I also use an alternate Joss for Augmented to fit that theme, but I own a legit Joss in my Ramos crew (same as two Howards, but the alt is a legit Miss Step). Also, just remembered I only have the one Medibot and only two of the three Steamfitters (though I

  33. I enjoy the Pyre marker game with her, but it can be difficult to get going. Draugr are OK and can hit above their weight once they have Burning on them. Add in Focus and they can hit hard. However, they are not immune to Burning, so it's a tricky balance about how much you can keep on them. Getting them to have Shielded helps and there are tricks to get more than +1, but it takes more setup than is useful sometimes. I have had 10+ pyres on the table a couple of times though Reva really likes to have Burning nearby too to make her better. Sadly she can only pull from Friendlies and not

  34. There's a few of us on the forums that think Bete Noir should be Revenant rather than Redchapel xD Most Redchapel players hate her, but she is really strong when you've got the table covered in corpse markers. With Reva you can (but do not have to) focus on corpse markers, which really unlocks Bete's potential. Then you've got a model that is potentially charging for three attacks at stat 6. Not to mention she has some good utility with removing scheme markers if you don't bury her. I really like her, but she's a controversial piece - not everyone does like her. I used Bete to score Vende

  35. Welcome to the community, good decision to try out the game! I started with Schtook as well. 1.) First off, Transmortis (that's the name of Schtook's crew) isn't a dedicated summoning crew, it happens more "along the way", very rarely more than once per game. Most dedicated summoners have an action, with which the bring new models onto the table. Schtook instead gives a model the ability to summon another model, if they kill something. The bigger the kill, the bigger your summon can be. So there are a number of hoops to jump through to do it, but the opponent losing a model and you gainin

  36. Summoning in Malifaux is usually 'a model takes an action, which allows you to add a new model to the board'. Von Schtook on the other hand, does actions that give upgrades to his friendly transmortis models, and when they kill stuff they can remove their upgrades to summon models (effectively turning the death into another friendly model). If you're in the App (which you should download), look for von schtook, and the 'new student' and 'academic zeal' upgrades. In general, as he's a summoner, you'll probably want most of his minions, which means in addition to his starter box, you'll p

  37. @Necrosage Welcome to Malifaux and Neverborn and Savages! A couple general things: if you ask us for model advice, we are more than happy to pile on with combos and ideas! This is good, but keep in mind you don't NEED to purchase everything we suggest right off the bat. For better or worse, this game does reward having a deep model collection, as you can better select the right model for the right job, but I'd always say play 6 games or so first, then figure out, "what would make my life easier and fit how I play". The other recommendation I'd make is to build a core list for a maste
