  1. Hi there! i finally finished (i actually have to fix some cracks on the sewer water, but other than that is done 🤫) the scenic base, it has been my “sixtine chapel”. I’ve put a lot of effort here, from planning, to building and painting, and i’m glad the whole thing worked out as I expected. SS wise i think it was about 30ss, could be 100 if you ask me XDDD Here are some pics (I took dozens of pics, I have a dormant thread with my stuff around the forum and i’ll upload there more pics to avoid spamming thi

  2. Mrs. Lynch Hello, I got troubles with the original Jakob Lynch figure (M2E): after many efforts and hours I catched out a very flat and anonymous miniature so I dedided to after something different, replacing him with a female figure from TTB Female Multi-part Kit. As a result I got Mrs. Lynch you can see in the pics. In last pic the Alt. Hunghering Darkness I pledged previous month. @Caedrus, I guess my efforts should be worth 15 ss, beeing anyway a Master mini.

  4. Ok regardless of card previews or lack thereof, this is a really fun adventure. I can't wait to convince my Fated loading themselves into a giant bullet pointed at the cursed moon is a great idea. It even has Star Trek references!

Some lovely looking minis by all this month, as always! Desper LaRaux - 8ss Huckster - 6ss Making my total for this month 14ss.

  9. @Caedrus Made my August pledge a little early this month. Here are my two Cyclops (14ss total) to close out my Savage key word (at least all the models I have). In addition I finished Mr Cooper (15ss) and Baritone Lola (8ss) for my first Nightmare crew. Hope to finish them in September. That's 37ss for the month. I might get more done but we'll see. Thanks again to @Stranglelove for the great photos!

  10. Good news everyone! After some success and growing interest of the community on my bayou gremlins painting topic I decided to share my progress on LJ and her butt-hurting department with ya all. So LJ are coming to punish ressers and undead things. I’ll upload all my progress on painting marshal keyword and will appreciate your support folks!

  11. Hi Guys This is my first post in this Forum. I'm a Malifaux and Malifaux-painting newbie with some experiences with other tabletops. Let's beginn with my first finished miniature, for me it was a speed paint and some experimenting with no color brands. Hope you like it!

  12. I love Bad Juju. I love the model. I love the idea of the swamp come alive. I use it whenever I play Zoraida no matter how bad the community says Bad Juju is cause I love the big, mushy, mossy lugg. In M2E I had a good handle on it because I always took the upgrade that summoned Juju when a swampfiend died and dared people to kill my fiends. Fun. I'll admit I haven't had an opportunity to play much M3E. But felt Juju's big attack, mixed with Regeneration, Hard to Wound, and Demise (eternal) was decent and playable. Tricky with the 3 def, but playable. Then I played vs a crew with Mo

  16. Scarlet Temptation is pretty much a non issue in the list. It doesn't do much. I mean it's nice but mostly forgettable. As for Bete, it's purely a not enough bang for the buck. Look at models like Mr. Graves who at least up to the last time I played was regularly derided as not being good enough in most lists, and he is almost but not quite another order of magnitude more effective than Bete. You are paying a gigantic premium for her supposed survivability. But that survivability only matters if she is repeatedly and reliably able to bring her lower impact abilities to bear. You aren't g

  17. How to put pressure on Transmortis: a) They are very trigger dependant, especially for dealing damage. Stunned is gold against anything other than Schtook himself. b) They use pushes for their mobility, therefore Staggered mitigates that. If you can deny placing, it's even better. c) Transmortis has only light healing capabilities, usually they don't have enough SS to include any or at most one healer. So hit them hard, Armour 1 can do only so much and it's not even on all models. d) Handling Transmortis summoning is easier than against dedicated summoner, good play is the

  19. Falling was clarified because the rule book doesn't actually tell us who would count as killing you if you die to falling damage. You can infer that it was the person that controlled the action or ability that moved the model that has the claim, but it wasn't spelt out. (And other things don't follow the same logic, so claiming that my push killed you from the fall is hard to convincingly argue when the rules clearly say that if I pushed you into a pit trap I didn't kill you, and if I set you on fire I didn't kill you). It is spelt out who counts as killing you if you die to hazardous ter

  20. Hey Wyrdos! As you all know, Waldo is something of a cheese connoisseur. Everything from cheddar and spray cheese to those little plastic-wrapped single slices, our office imp just can’t get enough of the stuff. But this week, we saw him taking a break from his usual midnight feasting to stare up at the moon. Fearing another evil plot being concocted, we asked him why he was so curious about it. Waldo claimed he heard legends that the moon was made of cheese, and that was all he could focus on. We didn’t really have the heart to break the truth to him. But that did get us thinking a

  21. Since the topic is not master specific, looking at what is most common in Ressers, those three points would be my primary ones: - corpse usage/hate - summoning - conditions In regards to corpse usage, some things are already posted. Depending on your own and your opponent's crew, your picks will obviously shift. Summoning can be mitigated by strong hand pressure (crew dependant) or handled by Anna/Vincent, which are OOK available for any master. Conditions are a pretty general topic, as many crews utilize those. So, if you play against something like McMourning or

  22. i personally would say it connects very well with ravencroft being atleast the henchmen, if not master... hear me out, oh and spoilers for puzzle box meridith was not first mentioned in her "reveal" but rather on a newspaper, where the recommendations to avoid a mysterious blackout sickness were as follows "keep dry, travel as much as possible, and read often" we also know some important information about spelleaters from the requisitions form: how they are made, a sub-standard use of the yellow crypt, not a virus but this "blackout virus" could be what allows them to "capture"

  26. I wasn't really thinking about the list as a way to do anything except get double focus on Seamus, the Dead Rider, and Emissary (plus whoever else is hanging around). That isn't that you don't want the other models to do something, but they don't have to carry the load for you. I would think that would provide a load of efficiency to the crew, but it it good to hear you've seen it in action and it has been less than stellar. I may very well try it myself soon to see if my experience differs.

  27. When I started, two of the people in the intro league played Kaeris and Rasputina. I happened to choose Molly. Was substantially unfair, but I never realised until now how unlikely that was. The kicker is that my third crew was Pandora meaning for a while I just thought marker removal was everywhere.

  28. Hiding a 30mm model behind a 30mm model is my most common use for it (although I'm not sure that is actually legal). Another way to use it is engagement range. I always state intent with models that don't have the same engagement range (I'm standing outside one inch so you're not engaging me but I'm engaging you). It just means more clarity, which makes for cleaner gameplay. It always improves the game IMO (as long as you actually measure and place the model correctly in addition to declaration. No sloppy measuring with rule of intent as an excuse). EDIT: I also often ask my opp

  30. I don't disagree with your points on crew construction, I even remember the first edition rules that allowed you to sacrifice your own crew to gain soulstones, and how that made so many schemes trivial to deny. I understand it might not feel right, but I will still say the difference between Hazardous and Falling, is that 1 of them is explained in the rules to not count as anyone killing the model, and one of them needed to be clarified in the FAQ who it counted as being killed by. I am saying is that it is much much harder to build a crew that can use hazardous terrain to deny bount

  31. I have not played him as a brawler yet, no. I usually play the Dreadnought as a gun platform, with either the mortar and one gunner, or two gunners, and one of the two processor assets, of which I like the anthem more. I was impressed with him, but it did not feel overpowered that way. I don't know when I will get the chance to test your loadout, I haven't played TOS in ages, as we are just now ramping up Malifaux a bit more again.

  36. So I am quite new to the forums, so I decided to make myself a hobby thread of some of the Malifaux models which I have painted. I am still quite new to the game only really starting to get into it a year ago, but have been quite hooked. First is my latest and main crew, Asami. I love painting these models... but am so happy I never have to do anything like Ama no Zako ever again. These were all done mainly with contrast paints which I just love for Malifaux models and then highlighted afterwards. The spiders were the biggest pain in the ass... so many legs!

Then internet cut out so the draft is just gone As for the spider legs its Probobly mostly asthetic. it doesn't follow with poisoning patents either when we know how they're made.

  45. Malifaux is a very complex game, so one can't simply take a good list from the forum and win. "Ultimate" lists are usually more complicated than just "take good models to do what they are good at". Deep understanding of how this list works (why was it built this way, when should it be taken etc) is required to get success. Power level of double master is overrated (mostly by people with little experience with and against them). My meta allowed double masters from the very beginning of open beta, and the more we play - the more I see high skilled players successfully running single mas

  46. I think there is a large degree of good players want control of things to make sure they know what is happening. Controlling things is harder if you have unknowns, like an opponent, messing up your odds. There is also a case that consistent good will win events, where as occasionally brilliant, occasionally rubbish will win games, but not events unless you manage to avoid the rubbish that event. (Or possibly that consistent good wins games when you don't make a mistake, occasionally brilliant may win games even when you make a mistake, but occasionally rubbish will lose games even if you don't

  47. I think there is too much of a "Guild is bad" meme going on. Dashel's crew has an engine that generates card draw, models, focus, condition removal, and fast. Not sure a keyword can get any better than that. In fact he reminds me a lot of 2e Nicodem. Lucius and Nelly are competitive too (Especially Nelly) and the existence of the Jury alone can prevent entire keywords from being picked. As for Neverborn being "Weak", Nekima, Titania, and Dreamer are overall faring pretty well. What we're generally seeing, I think, is a gravitation towards crews that can el
