  1. I'm still pretty focused on playing Marcus and Lucius at the moment. I really enjoy playing these masters despite their perceived power level. Fun is big for me... but, I do also like unlocking potential in KW's that appear lackluster on the surface. So far with GG1 I am a big fan of putting IR on Cojo. Here's the deal. Call of the Wild is NOT a once per activation. Cojo can charge multiple times in an activation. With Formidable horns he is getting a + to damage. He has a built in push on the opponent and can now, with IR, push when anyone cheats within 6". This also adds blade rush for

  2. Sorry for the total lack of interaction. Got some pretty sudden news early this month and been having to find a new apartment. Should be settled down again after August 8th, but things are a little wild. I still managed to do up Colette though! She's not finished, but she's tabletop ready and I don't have any spare time for the rest of the month, so here's my 15ss!

  4. How about... now! Hopefully just in time for some GenCon 2020 TtB purchases! I apologize for the slow update; I was on top of things when Chronicles where a thing. Now that they aren't, I've gotten lazy on the other publications. Should be current now; the only thing I neglected was checking which newer One Shots had bundled Fated character sheets. If anyone finds an omission, let me know so I can add the *!

  6. The goal of this thread is to be a one-stop index of all published TtB materials. I’ll do my best to come back to this and edit/update the original post as necessary. If there are any non-Wyrd blogs/groups/wikis/etc that you are part of that I’m missing, please let me know! Publications marked with "*" contain pre-generated Fated characters (flag me if you see any incorrectly marked/unmarked). Updated 5/10/21: It appears Wyrd has reorganized how they display purchasable TtB products, which is frankly far more aesthetically pleasing compared to my list below. However, I'll still keep

  10. Quick comment - It isn't a Heal, but rather a Damage Reduction. Very important difference in Malifaux. And no, you'd never really toss out a Severe unless you're in a pinch.

  11. For Guild it's definitely Dashel as the easiest. You don't have a lot of tracking to do. You play in theme, so you don't have a mix of abilities. The crew has synergies but they re mostly passive

  12. What I meant by Obey Swampfiend is taking Bokur & Criers, & Old Cranky, and Obey the beater, then Obey another model to Obey the beater, then Obey another another model to Obey the beater. Basically every action is the beater does something. Non-Obey centric is god litterally anything else! ....... I may have a littke ptsd about that build. But yeah, Freikorps!! Love them!

  13. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! Yeah, I remember playing M2e Lucius and finding the overlapping effects from Dashel, Queeg, Sergeants and the Riflemen being a bit of a hassle for me. Never got the hang of who was doing what, so it really slowed down my play. I haven't really looked, but I imagine that in M3e, Dashel's crew hasn't moved too far away from that shtick. The only main M3e experience I have so far is a tournament late last year, and I used Brewmaster for that, with Zoraida as a second Master. I found that okay to use, but it did drain me a bit, and I think I was real

  16. Whatever you take, an 'elite' crew may help. For example in Ressers you could take Molly +3-4 beaters + a minion for scheming and then you don't have to keep track of as many things. A crew with master + 1 beater + 8 minions for example is going to get taxing. EDIT: I also recommend sticking to one 'core' and keep roughly the same list each time. It will be much easier to remember model abilities. Also I have ADHD, so can totally relate to the mental fatigue. Hope the games go well! EDIT2: if possible, take a proactive game plan instead of a reactive one so you don't h

  17. I'd rule out Tri-Chi & Witch Hunters off the top.... condition markers are a maddening bookkeeping, especially since it would be your own models AND enemy models. Sooey, Big Hat, & Guard are summoning keywords so next highest complication in vast numbers of activation control. If your Swampfiend is built around all the Obey Actions where everyone is chain Obeying across the table, that's the next mentally taxing. Augmented has its own Power Tokens to keep track of, but that's rather simple, so next complicated. That leaves Freikorps, Outcast Infamous, Bayou Infamous

  18. I like the emphasis on Ancient Pact! Has always seemed like the strongest upgrade I've played with (if you can find a good carrier for it).

  19. I choose him nominally when I really want universal unimpeded, which is more of a map concern. And Neverborn Marcus has to let go of double-cat builds and accept that his true minions are the Order Initiates. By choosing Order Initiates, you solve many problems; you don't have to spend turn 1 scrambling to toss upgrades out; they already have at least 1, and they don't feel bad about ditching all their upgrades for + flips and suits, because they can just bonus action gain another one back at the end of their turn. This also means you provoke a lot more carefree card draw with Primal Domain. A

  21. It can be tricky to hit multiple markers but if there are markers super close to each other it’s possible. he really becomes a beast of a model when facing crews who want to drop scheme markers near your stuff. Also let’s mention the most bonkers thing about Gluttony - Mv 6! I have no idea why he is so fast but it sure is nice (and always catches your opponent off guard lol)

  26. Ulix is a sleeper master... not too many people play him because of the cost of ALL THE MODELS, but once your in, it's a super strong crew! After main box you need the Making Bacon box (The Sow & Piglets) because that's the basis for your summoning, and War Pigs because WAR PIGS! Then Hog Whispered & Slophauler. After that, I've seen 2 camps of keep Old Major, or replace with Gracie. Both are good but different; the choice is yours. Apparently Swine Cursed are only good in Wizz Bang.... but make up your own mind about them. However, the very first thing you have to d

  27. Boring conversation is when you declare the action, Chatty is you must discard to take the action. Take is the whole process, so you have to discard the card to take an interact action. Then when you declare the action (which is the first part of taking an action) you have to pass the duel. Discard, and then take the duel

  28. You might find that Ulix isn't too tough mentally, because, as you say, the pigs largely do the same thing, just better as they get bigger. You may find that the fact they have to declare triggers on the attack makes you spend a bit more time thinking about cheating and working how bad the current trigger is. Or you may not and just be happy to go with the flow. As you say it is really only 1 type of summon, and then Ulix has a fairly simple "improve them" action. The set up isn't too hard, and you can create fire and forget missiles fairly easily. The down side is that there are a

  30. I've lost games where I narrowly won the centre scrum, but it soaked up so many resources I couldn't deal with the lone scheme runner scoring points. Relatively rare, though. Normally dealing with squishy scheme runners is my top priority. Although I often win games off the back of something like necrotic machine + crooligan scoring (4 stones spent), so that's something to consider as well. I reckon a lone model to pull off some of your interacts works if they can't easily alpha strike it without consequence/you can protect it. Edit: that said, my favourite scheme runners a

  31. Just a small note here, but if you win it you decide between going first and second. First turn of the game I almost always decide to go second. Last turn of the game I sometimes want to go second. The reason being having the last activation can be really handy for some tasks. EDIT: to be more precise, whomever wins the initiative flip then chooses which player has initiative. The player with initiative then goes first.

  32. I play a lot of Marcus in NB. I think he's absolutely fantastic as a master and actually has a lot of viability in the faction. People are bias, simply put. Arcanist Marcus is fine, he gets great upgrades with that faction but they severely lack good BEAST minions for him to hire OOK. With that, NB is chalked full of amazing options into Marcus. I focus on getting as many upgrades out as early as I can and use him in later turns to control my engagements by using Primal Roar, Call of the Wild, his Pounce trigger, and then using accomplice appropriately. Its amazing what you can do wi
